With great powers, comes a great harem! - Chapter 34- I need Yuki!
Inside a long and wide hall which by decoration and atmosphere could be considered a meeting hall, could be seen numerous figures currently occupying either side of the aisle and currently listening to a recently arrived report.
The seat of the patriarch was occupied by a silver-haired man in his fifties by appearance but the Sword Saint was far older than he seemed, kudos to the hard work he still forges behind his training.
The old man’s stony red eyes were transfixed on the messenger, listening carefully to the incidents that have transpired recently, asking for the Patriarch’s attention.
“What did you…?! Young master Yuki defeated the fourth-ranked of the first year? Wasn’t she the renowned Flame user who won last year’s rookie competition held in Shibuya?”
Kuroi—the person in question—was known by many of those who closely follow young talent in the desire to recruit them in the future after they attain their graduation.
For such a young underdog like Kuroi who belongs to a businessman’s family, the Kurokawa clan had also their eyes set on the brunette girl.
(A/N: – I don’t remember mentioning Yuki’s clan so I would put Kurokawa for now. If someone finds it let me know so I can change it there as well. )
“It’s as you hear, my lord. Young Master Yuki just hasn’t created a disbalance in the rankings but now has proven his worth to be placed in the top 5.”
Replied the spy who had been gathering all the information from the Tower. Not only Kuroi but many other individuals like Anna, Ryan and specifically Maya were on the watchlist.
Not only from the perspective of recruitment but to prepare measures against those remarkable entities as well, if in the future clash amongst the clans occurs or maybe against foreign countries.
The Patriarch remained silent on the matter. Rather than contemplating the victory his grandson has acquired, he is surprised to hear that Yuki has enrolled in the Tower.
After Yuki’s awakening, in Ryouya’s eyes that child remained nothing but a useless liability. It was good that Yuki’s parents were sensible enough to send him away so the boy came to know the meaning behind the word, ‘Struggle’.
And because of that, Yuki had a dual awakening.
“Hanabi.” Suddenly a brown-haired spy appeared out of thin air also had her face covered and body cladded inside black clothing. Only her hair and build could differentiate her from the messenger who already was present in the court.
The old man Patriarch sighed over his decision before commanding the woman, “I need Yuki by the end of this week. Do whatever is required.”
With such words, the patriarch arose from his seat followed by every meeting member who also knelt to pay respect to the patriarch.
There was only a single person in the court who couldn’t have been more thankful for the fact that the patriarch left right away since if not then the said person might have allowed his anger to become evident.
Despite being furious, the second son of the Patriarch only could grind his teeth now that the Patriarch himself was looking into this case.
‘As I thought…I should have cracked the neck of that brat when he was still under the clan’s protection…’ Now the second successor to the throne could only hope that he would get another chance to finish off the matter he had left unattended until now.

The first year was in a stir after the practical lesson this afternoon.
Many of them were sent to the infirmary but it was the first time that both the winner and the loser ended up in a severe state…or to be precise, the winner was more injured than the lost one.
However, it wasn’t the reason for the turmoil and the reason why everyone was talking about the seventh round.
The fourth-ranked elemental specialist Hiyashi Kuroi was defeated by someone who was labelled as a defect until some time ago. Mostly everyone thought of Yuki as a fraud despite knowing the strict regulations and assessments of the Tower.
They just couldn’t accept the fact that someone who was disowned by his clan and had been living as a typical nobody would suddenly gain such strength to rival a B-ranked mage and defeat her in the end.
Maybe only some people were there who would be genuinely happy about Yuki’s victory. One of them was of course the maid he had appointed recently.
But other than her, if someone from the Tower was elated by this achievement of Yuki then it was Maya who was barely holding herself from jumping for joy upon seeing the result of the match.
Despite being devoted to her beloved, Maya already had concluded where the path of that spar would lead. But just like always, her lord surpassed all her expectations and stood victor like a true hero.
Shame that she wasn’t able to capture that moment since she was too mesmerized by the sight her eyes were witnessing.
“It’s shocking my lady…”
Maya’s stupor came to a halt when she heard a familiar voice from the inside of her cottage which belonged to the woman who had been sent to assist Maya.
Maya immediately found a small space beside her house and hid herself from the passersby before she activated her spell, [Third Eye]
Despite being regarded as such, this technique allows her perception to independently move according to her will. An A-rank surveillance-type magic that only a mage who has an affinity with space could do.
The visible floating eye the size of a tennis ball levitated its way through the wall and stuck to a corner of the bedroom so the assistant doesn’t notice the familiar skill.
“Yes, my lady…it’s just as you said. ”
Despite not being able to hear what the other party on the phone—which probably was Maya’s mother—was saying, from the sound of it, it seemed that the assistant was just relaying things that transpired today.
Maya was about to cancel her spell and walk into her room when suddenly a piece of information made her body tremble and her mind blank.
“It’s as you say, my lady. Before the pebble grows into a boulder it’s better I myself get rid of it. And since he’s injured after today’s match, it would be pretty convenient as well…”
…Maya’s reasoning to be bound by her family and clan seemed to waver at that instance.
