[Yuki’s POV:]

“Did you sleep well?” It was around eight when I and Shio met near the foot of the hill which leads to our school.

In the past, I tried to avoid Shio since I wanted to make it seem that I no longer was attracted to her so Subaru could lose his interest in Shio. But it didn’t work out properly. But now things are different and we can finally be ourselves once again.

“Mm. For some reason, I felt a little too energetic in the morning.”

Well, it was the effect of my skill that enhances her stats by a few points but as long she stays in contact with me her boost would get elevated every time we *ahem* do that.

Well, it would be inappropriate to tell her that so early in the morning when the innocent Shio was joyously humming under the mild summer glow.

“Though I have no concern going like this, are you sure you want others to know about our relationship?”

I really was not much worried if people began whispering about me and Shio since I have no friends or acquaintances in school who would come to pester me about it. But Shio is a social butterfly who hangs around everyone who’s friendly with her.

Though she maintains a reasonable distance from them, and avoids any physical contact, it was still not entirely unfeasible to think that many among those ‘close friends’ would not dare confront her..or maybe me?

“Fufu~I care about none. Shio now belongs to Mastah ~”

“Oi! Where did that come from?”

[Classroom]

[Third Person POV:]

It was early in the morning when all the students were busy chatting amongst themselves with their conversation mostly revolving around the incident that took place yesterday.

Among those many gatherings, a certain group consisting of five girls was taking the back side of the class as they conversed in a hushed voice.

“You heard that? Subaru-kun was killed in the dungeon rift yesterday.”

“Yeah, I did. I really can’t believe that someone strong like him was…wait! What about Tsuyuri?”

“I heard she returned alive along with two of her companion. The investigation is still under progress…”

“I bet now that b*tch would go all over Yuki-kun.”

“Heeh~You still haven’t given up on him, have you Riha-chan? I already told you that it’s a fruitless venture to go after him until Tsuyuri is around.”

The girl who was stated as Riha replied with a sulky expression, “I know but how can I explain this to my heart? And not only me, but some from other sections and our senpais are also after him. I just wonder how no one is still able to confess…”

“Isn’t it because Shio is manipulating everything behind the scene while our innocent Yuki-kun is being kept in the dark about the second face Tsuyuri carries?”

“Ah…talk about dev-ehhhhh?!”

“The fuckkkk?!”

A stinging silence ensued in the class as a certain pair walked inside gaining every gaze from all around.

Just like these five, every single student in the class could not help but let their jaw drop witnessing the two in such an intimate fashion.

…things really escalated rather quickly between these two.

[Yuki’s POV:]

The school is kind of in uproar since morning when I and Shio walked hand in hand. I admit that Shio was a little too affectionate toward me in front of others but the reaction we received was slightly exaggerated.

I have been asked almost eight times since morning whether I am in a relationship with Shio, and since Shio had no problem with me telling this, I affirmatively responded.

The weird part originates from the fact that only female students came to ask me which made me realize that maybe Shio is being seen as a cool prince type of personality to draw so many girls toward her.

I was not sure but didn’t bother about it much and went to the cafeteria with Shio during recess.

“Have you received any notice from the guild or authorities?”

Our classroom was on the second floor and the cafeteria was on the first floor. As usual, the hallway was crowded with many people chatting mostly about the dungeon rift and occasionally glancing in our direction.

Well, it definitely is uncomfortable but I would soon get accustomed to it.

“Well, I was told to report to the guild when I recover but other than that, no legal notice has arrived.”

I breathed a sigh of relief that until now nothing seemed to be going against the plan. There is still some news reading to the S-rank hunter’s inquiry but she’s mostly focused on the site assessment and helping the research party to study the phenomenon of dungeon rift.

Soon while chatting we arrived at the eatery. I ordered ramen and Shio went with curry rice. There were two options for lunch. First, insta-made which we can get from the terminal installed lunch machine. This option is rather quick and cheap. The second option was manual-cooked food which despite being a little expensive tastes really good.

We chose the machine made since we are broke…

Shio takes care of her family’s expenses that was why she can’t spend like any other active raider. About me then I do not have a hunter’s license which means that despite having monster products worth thousands in my inventory, I am still nearly empty pocket.

‘Well, I have to save money for our date as well…I will treat you the best food Shio.’ I have already been planning where I would take her and also, the restaurant she always wanted to go to is marked on the list.

“Shio I was thinking about this weekend…”

**BZZ**

I was about to ask her for a date when suddenly my phone buzzed. Since it was kept on the table as it gets uncomfortable when I sit with it inside my pocket, I subconsciously picked it up to look at the content.

‘Why is she… ‘ A frown creased my brows as I saw the name of the sender along with the message typed under it.

“…who is it, Yuki-kun?”

“My fiancee…”
