I hope that he tells the next heroine who he is right away. If nothing else he should have learned that lesson from this mess. His identity crisis is over (I hope), so no need for similar problems to happen again.
I was kind of surprised about how quickly she believed his story … like who would take it at face value even after the dreams she had and everything? I was expecting a line from him like “what, did you think that the real Yukito could fight like that?”.
She’ll probably have a lot of questions for him once she’s had a chance to process everything, especially about this whole thing with their souls merging.
I’m not sure why she wasn’t taken to the police station for a statement as well, or heck she should probably have been taken to the hospital to get checked out as a precaution too.
That must have been a tough chapter to write. It seems a bit abbreviated, i.e., Miyuki stopped being upset much more quickly than I expected – after all, she just found out the spirit of the boy she loved is dead and gone. But I can understand why you did that for pacing purposes, and I think you got to the right place in the end. Good job.
