While I Was Shutting in My Room for One Year, My Parent Remarried and Now I’m Living Together With Super Beautiful Stepsisters - Chapter 61-62
Chapter 61: Breast Against Breast (Huh?)
By pouring out our true feelings to each other, the tension that had lingered since we reunited finally cleared up, and I thought Haruka and I had finally opened up to each other… but still, Haruka felt somehow intensely heavy.
The childhood friend I knew, Haruka Mizuno, used to be like the sun—bright and warm—but after just one year, so many clouds had gathered over her.
“Wanna walk a little more? Only if you’re okay with it, Aoto.”
“Yeah. There’s nothing to do if we go back to the hotel anyway.”
We had talked about all sorts of things on the bench at the top of the cliff, but we decided to continue our walk.
“Walking side by side like this… it’s the first time since the day we went home after the entrance exam, right? On that walk back, I couldn’t say anything. You kept encouraging me over and over, but I didn’t have the words to reply—I was just too overwhelmed.”
“Hey! That’s enough about that! How long are you going to keep moping about it, Aoto?”
As she spoke, Haruka gave my back a light smack.
On that walk home back then, she had done the same thing—encouraging me while smacking my back again and again.
“You might be blaming yourself, Aoto, but honestly, I blamed that high school. Why did they fail you? Just being alive should’ve been enough to pass. Failing you was absolutely unthinkable.”
“Uh… Haruka. That’s… really heavy.”
Haruka muttered those words with a murderous glint in her eyes, so I responded while leaning back a little.
I appreciated the sentiment, but just how badly did she want me to get into the same high school as her…? It was way too intense.
But thinking about it like that, maybe Haruka actually used to like me back then…?
Even if her feelings might be different from mine now, maybe we had been mutually in love all along…?
“U-Um, listen! There’s something I really, really need to ask you.”
“Really need to? If it’s something you want to know, Aoto, I’ll tell you anything. Even my three sizes?”
“N-No way I’d ask something like that with a straight face!”
“Huh? Really?”
What does she think I am?
“Then what is it?”
“W-Well…”
Did you used to like me back then?
Asking that might make things awkward again.
But if I don’t ask now, I’ll probably end up regretting it later, just like when I was a shut-in.
I-I’ll ask.
Since breaking out of my shut-in life, I’ve come back with the mindset of “go for it and get smashed if you have to!”
“Haruka… um, back then, did you maybe—”
“Aaah! What are you two doing—?!”
Right at the moment I was about to ask—a ridiculously loud voice suddenly rang out toward us.
At the same time, someone came running toward us while her huge breasts bounced wildly up and down… and for some reason, it was Momiji.
“Huhhh? Haruka-saaan? Why are you hogging my little brother Aoto-kun all to yourself—?”
“You’re the one who should stop interrupting! We were in the middle of an important conversation, and you’re just a stepsister by marriage, so stay out of it!”
My question vanished into thin air, and the two of them started clashing breasts again while hurling ugly insults at each other.
After getting interrupted, now I have to deal with these two again… ugh.
“Whatever. I’m going back to the hotel to play games.”
““Hey, Aoto(-kun)!! Decide who you’re going to hang out with!!””
“Uh… uh…”
You two are both so heavy—why don’t you just play with each other… is what I thought.

Chapter 62: Yandere Sandwich and an Unexpected Call??
While I was walking with Haruka, Momiji suddenly showed up, and the whole mood changed in an instant.
Just moments ago, the pleasant resort weather and the warm sea breeze had been gently brushing my skin, but the second those two were together, the air turned so damp and heavy it felt like we’d already entered the rainy season, even though it was still May.
And after that, what happened to me was obvious—even clearer than fire.
We ended up going down to the beach for a walk along the shore, but…
“Aoto-kun is going to eat matcha soft-serve ice cream over there with me, right?”
“Aoto has plans to eat shaved ice over there with me, doesn’t he?”
Momiji tugged on my right arm, and Haruka tugged on my left.
Each pointed toward one of the two shops on opposite sides of the beach, trying to pull me their way.
“Hey, Haruka-san. Could you please stop trying to sweet-talk Aoto-kun? He’s my little brother, after all.”
“I don’t want to hear that from someone delusional enough to think an older guy like Aoto is her little brother. And I’m not sweet-talking him.”
Here we go again.
These two fight every single time they meet.
The saying “the more they fight, the closer they are” has never felt less true. With every argument, their relationship just gets worse.
They’re both overly protective and meddlesome in pretty much the same way.
Maybe it’s something like hating someone who’s too similar to yourself.
“Um, listen, I don’t really want to play on the beach, so if you two want to hang out here, why don’t you just do it together? I’ll head back to the hotel—”
“No escaping, Aoto(-kun).”
Yikes! Their grips on my arms tightened so hard I almost yelped out loud.
This is the worst. Now I really want to get back to the hotel.
“…Huh? Oh, it’s a call from Yuzuna. I’ll take this for a second.”
I pulled my phone from my pocket, saw Yuzuna’s name on the screen, and answered.
“Yuzuna? What’s up?”
“Big Brother? Right now the rest of us—everyone except Haruka-san and Momiji—are together having lunch. Are you by any chance with those two?”
“Uh… yeah, pretty much.”
I glanced at the two of them as I answered.
“Are you holding up okay? If things get bad, just say ‘Yuzuna’s calling me’ and come back here.”
“Yuzuna…”
As expected, my only real ally was Yuzuna.
To get out of this mess, I’d have to borrow her help.
“Actually, part of why I called was to rescue you, Big Brother, but the main reason I wanted you to come over here is because there’s something else.”
“Something else?”
“Well… it looks like Uncle contacted Mom on Line.”
Huh? Dad?
“Tomorrow, after we all head home, Uncle managed to get a little time off during Golden Week. He wants to come over and talk things through at the house. Mom says she wants to discuss it with you, Big Brother.”
Dad… s-seriously?
The shock hit me so hard that, for a moment, I completely forgot I was trapped in this extremely dangerous situation between the two of them.
