Chapter 15: The Past of a Huge Mama and Her Huge Secret Contract
Aoto and Nanoka-san moved from the entrance to the living room and sat down on chairs.
“Well then, Mama, I’ll go prepare dinner, okay?”
“Sure. Thanks, Momiji.”
Momiji headed off to the kitchen alone.
“Now, Aoto-kun, where should Mama start?” Nanoka-san asked.
“Well, it’s not about where to start… I’ve been a shut-in for a whole year since failing my high school entrance exams. I don’t know anything about this remarriage either,” Aoto admitted.
Aoto confessed honestly to Nanoka-san that he knew nothing.
“Kazuki-san said he’d told you, but it seems he didn’t after all. In that case, you need to see this first,” Nanoka-san murmured.
Suddenly, she thrust her right arm into the neckline of her vertical-knit sweater.
W-What’s she doing now?
Nanoka-san fumbled around near her massive breast, and just when Aoto thought she’d finally pulled her hand out, she held a steaming hot smartphone… huh?
No way, did she just pull that phone out from her cleavage?!
“Take a look at this, Aoto-kun. This is a photo from when I first met Kazuki-san,” she said.
“Wait a second!” Aoto interrupted, stopping her as she tried to move the conversation along like it was no big deal.
“What’s wrong?” she asked.
“What’s wrong? Where did you just pull that phone from?!”
“Huh? My cleavage, of course,” she replied.
“C-Cleavage?!”
“It’s convenient, you know? I can grab it quickly, and since it’s always tucked close, I never lose it.”
“That’s not the point!”
Judging by this, the quirky personalities of those three sisters—especially Yuzuna and Momiji—must come from their mother’s influence.
(*Please note: This is an extremely dangerous act, so those with large breasts should not try this at home.)
“Anyway, let’s get back to the topic,” Nanoka-san said.
“R-Right,” Aoto replied.
Somehow, it felt like Aoto was the one who derailed the conversation, which was frustrating.
“This is a photo from the first time Kazuki-san and I met,” she said.
The steaming smartphone displayed a photo of the two of them standing side by side, holding champagne glasses at a stylish venue.
“About a year ago, Kazuki-san was on a long business trip to Shikoku, right? That’s when my company and his attended a corporate networking event,” Nanoka-san explained.
“A networking event?” Aoto asked.
“Yeah. To put it simply, it was like a mixer planned by mid-level and younger employees,” she said.
“A mixer? That sounds like the kind of event my dad would hate the most,” Aoto remarked.
After all, his father was a workaholic, so attending a mixer seemed completely out of character.
“At that mixer, I was being harassed by a drunk male employee, and Kazuki-san came to my rescue!” she continued.
“My dad did that?” Aoto asked, incredulous.
“Yup. After that, we found out we were both single parents raising kids. We exchanged contact info, started talking more, and… you know?” Nanoka-san said with a coy wink, as if to say, “Figure it out.”
But to think his dad was living that kind of life on a business trip… Saving a beautiful woman, exchanging contacts, and even starting a relationship? It was a side of his father Aoto had never seen.
“So, Dad proposed the remarriage?” Aoto asked.
“No, actually… it was me,” Nanoka-san admitted.
“What? You proposed, Nanoka-san?!” Aoto exclaimed.
That was surprising. He’d assumed his dad was the one who proposed.
“My daughters are triplets, so they’ll all leave the nest at the same time, right? I was feeling lonely about being alone… and when I met Kazuki-san, it felt like fate. So I went for it! ♡” she said.
“Wow…” Aoto muttered.
To go after his quiet dad like that… what an interesting taste in men.
But maybe his dad had similar thoughts? To pull Aoto out of his shut-in lifestyle, he brought new energy into the house. Between the room shortage and the push to return to school, it felt like his dad had planned everything out, and Aoto couldn’t shake that impression.
“But Dad’s often away on solo assignments or business trips and isn’t home much. Is that okay?” Aoto asked.
“Oh, that’s fine! ♡ From now on, I’ll be a commuting Mama, going back and forth between Kazuki-san’s assignments and this house to take care of everyone,” she said.
“A commuting Mama?” Aoto repeated.
“Yup. I want to be with Kazuki-san, and I want to be with everyone else too. Plus… I need to keep an eye on you all in this house to make sure no inappropriate behavior happens,” she teased.
“I-I wouldn’t do anything inappropriate!” Aoto protested.
Just then, a loud clatter came from the kitchen, like a pot had been dropped.
“Sorry! I dropped the pot!” Momiji’s voice called out from the kitchen.
It was a rare mistake for Momiji, who usually cooked so skillfully, but Aoto continued the conversation.
“Um, Nanoka-san, it’s true I’m sharing a room with Yuzuna, and I’m getting along with Momiji and Anzu for now, but it’s not like that. From now on, I’ll be like a big brother to all three of them,” Aoto said.
“Oh my, Aoto-kun… could it be you don’t know about *that* yet?” Nanoka-san asked.
“*That*? W-What are you talking about?” Aoto stammered.
“Hehe, well… when we got remarried…” she began.
And with that, Aoto was about to learn a shocking truth.
