- Chapter 61: Snow White's Sister's Assault.
Snow White’s Sister’s Assault.
“Onii-san, I’ve come.”
On a Sunday morning just after six, Hinata arrived at the house.
Even though I had been sound asleep until a moment ago, I was forced to wake up due to her sudden assault.
Repeated doorbell rings were enough to rouse me.
This was the first time I had seen her in casual clothes. Wearing an off-shoulder top and capri pants, her style was quite different from Himeno’s.
Despite being sisters, being half-sisters meant there were various differences in personality, fashion preferences, and more.
“What’s up so early in the morning?”
Normally, this would still be my sleeping time, so I let out a big yawn as I asked.
While it was truly a hassle, I had no choice but to get up.
I wish she would just go home, but it wouldn’t be that easy.
“Isn’t it obvious? I’m here to make a morninyaaig attack on Onii-san. Please let me into the living room, nyaa.”
She didn’t want to talk in the entrance, so Hinata coaxed me into going to the living room with a catlike voice.
Sighing internally, I nodded, guiding Hinata to the living room and having her sit on the sofa.
“I want orange juice. Feed it to me, Onii-san.”
Making such a sudden demand for a drink was audacious enough, but there was no way I would feed her by mouth.
Though it would be extremely embarrassing, if I were to do it, I would want it to be with someone I liked.
“Sure, sure.”
While I don’t usually drink orange juice, it was kept on hand just in case Marika wanted some.
I took a bottle from the kitchen fridge, poured it into a glass, and handed it to her.
“There you go.”
“Thank you very much.”
But she didn’t make a move to drink from the glass.
“Won’t you feed it to me by mouth?”
“I won’t.”
“Pfft,” she responded, averting my gaze.
Feeding Hinata by mouth is absolutely out of the question, and she’s probably just joking.
“Too bad. I was actually thinking it might be okay if it’s Onii-san.”
While I doubt she’s serious about wanting to do that with me, I have absolutely no intention of doing such a thing with Hinata right now.
If Himeno were to ask for it, of course, I would comply.
“Well, whatever.”
Gulping down the orange juice, Hinata is undoubtedly being deliberate.
Her calculated behavior is different from her junior, Miki, and it feels like Hinata won’t be satisfied until she makes anyone she likes all hers.
She probably wants to steal away everyone precious to Himeno, leaving her in despair.
That’s why I can’t distance myself from Himeno.
I don’t want to see the person I care about getting hurt.
She trusts me the most, and probably feels lonely if I were to leave.
Especially after she went as far as to kiss me.
(What should I do?)
I stand, not sitting on the sofa, contemplating.
I’d love to kick her out right now, but I doubt she’ll leave willingly.
If I try to force her out, there’s a risk of her screaming and treating me like a criminal.
Even if I were to attack her, Hinata might not resist if it means she can take me away from Himeno.
In reality, she probably knows it’s too embarrassing and won’t actually go through with it.
That’s likely why she came to assault my home like this.
“If mouth-to-mouth is a no-go, how about an indirect kiss?”
Hinata, who had drunk about half the juice, showed me the glass with a faint pink lipstick mark.
“I won’t.”
Even if it becomes an indirect kiss by placing my lips where the lipstick is, I don’t want to do it.
“You have a high sense of chastity, Onii-san. Normally, you’d do it mouth-to-mouth.”
Certainly, for a typical adolescent boy, the idea of doing it mouth-to-mouth with a cute girl would be appealing.
But because I only want to do it with someone I like, I politely declined, partly because it’s a hassle.
“Well, Onii-san, I hope we can get to know each other slowly from now on.”
Probably, even if we started dating after separating from Himeno, she wouldn’t suggest breaking up.
Just temporarily dating wouldn’t satisfy Hinata.
It seems she wants to bring Himeno to the depths of despair, even going as far as marriage.
“Do you dislike Himeno, Yukishita?”
“Yes, I do. It’s difficult to like a half-sister under the circumstances.”
It would be difficult for her to fall i love with her half-sister if there had been some kind of conflict between her family in the past.
“By the way, you call that person by her name, but why do you address me by my last name? Hinata or Hina-chan is fine.”
“Is it necessary to call you by your first name?”
“Of course. I can’t fall behind that person, so I need to be addressed properly.”
It seems she wants to be called by her name no matter what happens, and Hinata begged with upturned eyes.
“Hinata.”
“Yes!”
Hinata responded with a beaming smile, looking very pleased.
The lack of excitement, unlike the first time I called Himeno by her name, might be because I have no interest in Hinata whatsoever.
“Onii-san.”
“Hm?”
“I really like you, Onii-san, so I’ll keep making advances. Okay?”
Standing up, Hinata whispered sweet words into my ear and then blew out a breath, saying, “Fuuuhhh~~…”
