Chapter 27
While Roa was being kept confined, something significant was happening at school; the girls were taking control of the school.
To an outsider, it might seem like a normal school life was being led by the students, but in reality, they were transforming the school for Roa, in anticipation of his possible return.
For instance, in Roa’s absence, they initiated what could be called a ‘secret school assembly’.
Here, students were gathered to confess and vow never to repeat their past mistakes towards Roa. Those who resisted were deemed purge targets and taken to a ‘purge room’, where indescribable and ruthless actions were carried out coldly, without a shred of mercy in their unyielding eyes.
The purged individuals were left incapable of defiance, turning into worshippers of Roa.
Other students, witnessing the fate of those purged, naturally became fearful and ceased any opposition.
Aria, once hailed as a saint, always treating everyone equally with universal love, and Lilia, known as the elder sister to all students, now conducted purges with smiles on their faces. With their power, strength, and psychological dominance, resistance was unthinkable.
However, this was merely a precautionary measure for Roa’s potential return to school.
The girls had no intention of letting Roa leave his current location, and once they graduated, they planned to move him to an even more secluded and comfortable place. Their actions always revolved around Roa at their center.
“Wait a minute, Mia-san.”
“What’s wrong, Chloe-kun? No matter how many times you ask, I don’t know where Roa is.”
“But when I was called away by the teacher and returned shortly after, Roa had disappeared. So, I wanted to ask you, who were likely there, about the situation.”
“That’s why I’m telling you, I happened to be away from Roa at that time, so I have no idea what happened to him. Do you have any proof to the contrary?”
“That… I don’t have.”
Chloe replied, glaring at Mia with a frustrated expression. However, Mia seemed unfazed, barely acknowledging Chloe’s presence.
It was only natural. Mia couldn’t afford to slip up by paying too much attention to Chloe. Having prepared a plausible excuse in advance, she and the others like Lilia gave the same noncommittal answers when asked.
“Besides, we’re also desperately searching for Roa, so please don’t interfere.”
“…Right, I understand.”
After hearing this Chloe left Mia’s side.
