Chapter 19: Purge
“Roa-kun, are you alright? Can you walk to your room?”
“I’m fine. Quite some time has passed since I recovered, so walking to my room is not an issue. More importantly, thank you for picking me up and dropping me off every day. Lilia-oneechan, Mia, Aria.”
“Ah! It’s fine. It’s only natural for your big sister to pick you up and drop you off, right? You don’t have to thank me for something like that. But thank you, too.”
“It’s only natural for me to pick up and drop off Roa. I will continue to do so forever.”
“Roa-sama, you don’t need to concern yourself with such trivial matters. It was merely our duty. However, Roa-sama really is like an angel, even expressing gratitude to a lowly person like me.”
Just by expressing my gratitude, their cheeks reddened and they fidgeted, their eyes clouded as they spoke such words. While it may be inevitable that our relationship had turned out this way, I hoped that going forward they could at least somewhat return to how they were before.

This is just one example of a purge.
After safely dropping off Roa, they left Chloe’s mansion.
“So, who is the target for today’s purge?”
“Ah, about that, the target has already been captured and is crucified in the purification room.”
“It’s amazing how some people never learn. Even though it feels strange for me to say this as one of the Three Great Nobles, nobles really do have an insufferable level of pride. As if they have to be number one. When it’s all Roa-kun’s to begin with. As if that trash could take a seat that belongs to Roa-kun.”
They spoke such words with calm expressions. No one there questioned or interrupted them. Because that’s just how they were.
Mia, despite being a commoner, was prepared to kill nobles without a second thought. She didn’t care about any backlash from the country or the nobles. After all, those who had been purged, be they nobles or students, were under a contract that would get them killed if they spoke out, so there was no chance of a leak.
Aria, too, was so dubious in her claim of being a “Saintess” that she controlled anyone who spoke ill of Roa in places Roa couldn’t see, or anyone who had a defiant attitude towards Roa, with a level of fear that ensured they would never recover.
Lilia, being among the Three Great Nobles, considered using her family’s power to crush other nobles. However, she held back, fearing that if she went too far, Roa might become concerned and stop calling her “big sister.”
The three of them advanced with dark, murky eyes, descending deep into the basement of a dilapidated church. As they descended, the atmosphere grew damp and dark, and a foul odor began to sting their noses.
Upon opening the door, the foul odor intensified. It was no surprise, given that the floors and walls were stained with dark red blood, and human limbs and eyes were scattered here and there.
Tied up with chains was a man from a viscount family, his ankles severed so he couldn’t walk, though the bleeding had been stopped. Urine dripped from him, tears flowed from his eyes, and his face was filled with terror.
There were also unconscious female students, who had fainted, possibly from the pain of their fingers being cut off.
“So, is this fool the one who was speaking ill of Roa-kun today?”
“Yes, that seems to be the case. This man and his fiancée were both badmouthing Roa.”
“Heh, I see. I simply can’t tolerate anyone insulting Roa-kun.”
“If you’re going to belittle Roa, you know what’s coming, right?”
Lilia approached the male student with a smile, quickly grabbed a knife and lightly pressed it against his cheek. Blood began to flow, and the man’s despair deepened.
Mia activated her wind magic and, unlike Lilia, her face was completely filled with rage.
As for Aria, she said,
“Get up, you bitch. Or else, I’ll kill you right here and now.”
She forcefully broke the toes of the female student, likely his fiancée, forcing her to wake up. A loud scream echoed as the woman jumped to her feet. The moment she understood the situation and saw the horror in front of her, she vomited and urine flowed from her.
Aria cast her a disdainful look, as if she were trash, and violently grabbed her hair, forcibly turning her face toward her fiancé.
“Make sure you burn this image into your eyes. You’re next.”
“No, no, no, please don’t!!!”
Mia used her wind magic to wound the man’s abdomen through his uniform. Just when his pain reached unbearable levels and he screamed, Aria used her holy powers to barely save his life.
“Having offspring from a man like this could be problematic in the future.”
“Exactly, so let’s take care of that.”
With those words, they aimed a sharp knife at the sensitive part of the man.
The horrifying scene unfolding before her eyes drove the woman to despair. She couldn’t hold back her tears, or even her bodily functions.
Again and again, again and again, again and again, again and again, again and again. Again and again, again and again, again and again, again and again, again and again. Again and again, again and again, again and again, again and again, again and again.
The tragedy kept repeating, over and over and over. Limbs and other things were strewn about; the room continued to darken in color.
They gleefully tormented the man and the woman, all for the sake of their beloved Roa. To eliminate anyone who would dare oppose Roa. To ensure that Roa could live without any troubles. To make Roa’s school life stress-free.
Everything was for Roa.
Their purge continued relentlessly, until there was no one left to oppose Roa.
“Roa”
“Roa-sama”
“Roa-kun”
““”Love you.”””
