They weren’t the type to lose to mere grunts. This much was clear from the past few days of fighting sea beasts.

“Magic Corps, concentrated fire on the large sea beasts!”

“We’ll handle these! Men, evacuate the women and children!”

“R-right, big sisters! Leave the moms to us!”

“Crush ’em! Go for it!”

They didn’t fight individually. Under Naoho-san’s lead, coordination and command were flawless. While protecting the villagers, they effortlessly scattered the mermen and sea beasts.

They introduced themselves in perfect unison. Same face, same tone and same cadence.

They moved the massive Sea Golem, aiming to flatten the entire village.

“It’s huge!? This is a Sea Golem!?”

“Wh-what is that!?”

“Bigger than any sea beasts by far…”

Its body covered not just the shoreline but the whole village.   And the magic I sensed…

“Fuh… The combined magic of my three closest retainers. The Sea Golem, formed from the infinite ocean. Behold! The great motherly power of this world that you lowly masters cannot resist. Be swallowed and die!”

What overwhelming power! This was bad. If we didn’t take the head, at this rate…

The triplets spoke coldly in perfect sync.   The next instant, the Sea Golem raised both arms and swung down its colossal fists toward us.

“Freeze it!”

“I-it’s no use! It’s too big! Our magic can’t—”

“Just do it! Fireeee!”

At Naoho-san’s shout, everyone frantically unleashed ice magic at the Sea Golem.   Its surface began to freeze.   But the ice cracked instantly, failing to halt its movement.

“Guh, e-evade!”

“Uwa—gaaah!?”

“E-everyone!”

“Big sisters! Big brothers!”

“Big sisters! You…! How could you…”

With a single blow, the entire Magic Corps was sent flying.   They rolled violently across the sand, unable to stand from that one hit.

Our comrades were down. No one could stay calm. If magic failed, they’d smash it physically. Fueled by rage, the knight squad rushed the Sea Golem. But…

The Sea Golem simply raised both hands overhead and slammed them down. That alone was enough to take them down. Of course…
