- Chapter 28- Her world...
Haruki’s sister was out of danger but she still needed to rest before she could wake up and meet anyone. The doctor said, by midnight she would be stable enough to converse somewhat properly.
Masatao and Haruki didn’t have any complaints regarding such since all they wanted was the assurance that their beloved was safe.
Since it would have taken hours for her to regain consciousness, Masato told Haruki to return home and come to meet his sister in the morning. Naturally, Haruki was reluctant but considering how Emiko would surely also stay in the hospital if he insisted, Haruki listened to his brother-in-law’s words and walked out of the hospital with Emiko by his side.
They currently were in the car going back to the apartment probably, but the route Emiko had picked was different from what Haruki remembered so he wasn’t sure where they were heading to.
“Are we taking a detour, Emiko-san?”
“Ah…I completely forgot to ask you, Haru-kun. Umm…is it okay if we take a trip to my office before going home? Oh and if you are hungry, we can order something there.”
“Oh, I am fine with it. If it’s inconvenient then I can stay in the car for hours, so don’t worry about me and finish your work first.”
There was a difference between being with Emiko within a private space and the place of her work where she couldn’t conceal her identity. For her to bring him suddenly to the office unless Haruki wasn’t working as her assistant or something, would surely create a fuss.
Well, with the clothes he was wearing and also his not-so-presentable demeanor in front of elite staff who must be working in her office, it would be discerned immediately that he wasn’t a real assistant whatsoever.
“Don’t worry about that, Haru-kun. That place is my domain where no one would dare say or do anything against me. So brace yourself since I am gonna speed up a little.”
The way she said those words with her eyes focused on the road with a serious look, Haruki felt himself falling into a daze at how cool Emiko looked at times.
But remembering how wobbly she got when he praised her previously Haruki didn’t take any chances.
After a half-hour ride, they stopped in front of the building which was located in the corporate district of Tokyo, Marunouchi.
‘How many floors does this place have….’ Haruki tilted his head yet he couldn’t see the top of the building. The whole place was black in shade with the glasses also shimmering and blending under the dark clouds which congregated some moments ago.
The surroundings were filled with long buildings and numerous white-collared employees roaming around the small parks and streets since it was lunchtime.
“L-Let’s go, Haru-kun…”Haruki was surprised to feel his hands enveloping with the softness and warmth of Emiko’s hand as she pulled him toward the building.
If not for her stutter and the faint blush her milk-white neck had adopted, Haruki might have assumed that she had gotten used to hand-holding with him by now. But..
“Don’t laugh at me, Haru-kun! I am trying to get better at this…” Even though he wasn’t able to see beneath her mask, Haruki felt her cheeks bulge a little in a pout
“I am not laughing, Emiko-san. I am just admiring how adorable you can seem through such small gestures.”
*Stumble*
It was quite amusing to see an experienced model stumble on her heels and nearly fall, if not for Haruki supporting her. As he thought, she really didn’t possess even the tiniest bit of immunity toward components.
“Haru-kun…stop bullying your elders…please…” The droopy eyes she wore currently were enough to bring a grin across his face, but Haruki held it in or who knows Emiko might really begin to shed tears.

After entering the building which made them cross through three security procedures and having Haruki a visitor’s identity card hanging around his neck, they proceeded toward the elevator.
“Harada-san…there are cameras and a receptionist around the corner…is it really safe for you to take off your disguise?”
Haruki couldn’t help asking since even though no one would report her being seen with Haruki in her office, this was still the building reception area where numerous cameras and staff were stationed.
She really was acting a little too carefreely.
“As I said, this is my place so you don’t need to worry, Haru-kun.”
Haruki blinked in bafflement with a slight frown directed at her, while they walked into the elevator.
Emiko pressed the top last button of the panel which had the number ’74’ etched in it before they began ascending toward her main office.
“Emiko-san…this place belongs to HnE Groups of industry, right? I am sure you must have a floor for your office….right?
For a supermodel like Emiko, it was nothing to have an office in this high-end building owned by a group of industries that occupies the upper four floors of the facility. (Haruki didn’t see her selecting the floor number.)
Hearing his question, Emiko smiled gently before she relayed her thoughts in an excited tone, “It’s now my time to tell you about who Harada Emiko is and what kind of world I live in, Haru-kun.”
Inching close to him, she slowly brought her left hand to his cheek with a fervent blush glowing on her cheeks, as she added, “A world which revolves around us and our future.”

[Haruki’s POV:]
I seriously was taken aback by the fact that Emiko-san was a businesswoman along with a model. And no small industrialist rather one of the most prominent and widespread group of companies runs under her name.
Shopping malls, residential districts, public amenities, and even IT sectors were specialties of HnE industries and the woman who planted the seed of this empire was the person who currently was hugging my arm and leading me toward her office.
“Good afternoon, Ma’am…”The receptionist who sat near the entrance greeted Emiko-san with her widened eyes glued to me and not only her but everyone who greeted Emiko-san had their eyes fixated on no one, but me.
I would be the most foolish person to regard these many eyes on me because of my overflowing charm. I know I was just an ordinary guy.
The way they were looking at me, I just felt like disappearing from here at once.
Fortunately, we were heading toward a staircase that led to a higher room from where the whole office could be seen easily. I am sure that must be Emiko-san’s office.
I just wanted to reach there and get out of their range of vision already, but…
“Excuse me, Ma’am…someone from Lavender Fashion Week named Kento Rei has been waiting for you since morning.”
Emiko-san halted in her steps abruptly, naturally bringing me to a pause as well.
Turning my head to look at her, I found my breath hitching in my throat.
For the first time, I found Emiko-san making such an expression.
Her mood definitely soured up upon hearing that name for some reason.
