When My Younger Brother Stole My Girlfriend, I Began Living Together with My Beautiful Childhood Friend Almost As If We Were Married - Chapter 46
Chapter 46: Relaxing at the Hotel
After thoroughly enjoying the seafood, we paid the bill and left the restaurant.
Despite Fuyuka-san having drunk quite a bit of local sake, there was no hint of her being intoxicated.
She still said she would rest at the hotel, so the three of us went back to the hotel to make sure it was time to check in.
At the front desk, we gave our names, received our keys, and our luggage was handed over.
Since Reina and I were in a double room on the eighth floor, while Fuyuka-san was in a single room on the fifth floor, we had to part ways temporarily.
Just as we were about to descend to the fifth floor, Fuyuka-san handed over condoms, which seemed either overly thoughtful or unnecessary. She then headed towards her room. As the door closed behind her, Reina and I, still holding the condoms, made our way up to the eighth floor.
After unlocking the door to our room, we tossed our belongings, including the condoms, onto the corner of the room and the desk, then collapsed onto the bed.
“Ah. I’m unexpectedly tired.”
“Yeah. Sitting still during the journey probably drained our energy more than we thought.”
“True, though being in the Green Car did alleviate it a bit.”
Both Reina and I plugged our phones into the charger and ended up just lying down, gazing at the ceiling.
“Hey, Hayato.”
“Yeah?”
“If there’s nowhere in particular you want to go today, should we just take it easy?”
“That right. The hotel facilities seem pretty nice, so we can just relax here. Plus, we can look at the sightseeing routes for tomorrow and discuss them with Fuyuka-san.”
“Agreed.”
Now then…
Since Reina got up to fetch sightseeing brochures from downstairs, I decided to grab some drinks from the vending machine on the tenth floor.
Thanks to the free coins we received from booking online, I picked out something Reina might like. But which one should I choose? I guess I’ll play it safe and go with apple juice.
I selected apple juice for Reina and tangerine juice for myself, then returned to the eighth floor with two bottles in hand.
Upon returning to the room, I found Reina already back. Several brochures were spread out, and she was lying on the bed, examining them.
“Welcome back, Hayato. You brought juice.”
“Is apple okay?”
“Hmm… I might prefer tangerine.”
“Oops, my bad.”
I handed Reina the tangerine juice and opened the apple juice for myself.
As we refreshed ourselves with our respective juices, we both took out our phones and began looking at the brochures, exchanging opinions and jotting down notes.
We started to get a sense of the route around Kanazawa Station. We could adjust our schedule with Fuyuka-san tomorrow.
Next, we should consider places like Nanao and other more distant destinations. Since we’re here, we might as well explore beyond just Kanazawa, maybe even take a local train to somewhere far away.
Upon researching, it seemed using the limited express to Nanao would be a good option. Looking at the map, there were charming traditional Japanese streets that piqued our interest even more.
“The place the chef recommended that my sister wanted to visit must be this one.”
“The roadside station, huh? There’s also a sightseeing boat, and you can see Noto Island. Plus, there’s plenty of delicious food.”
“We definitely have to go here!”
Nanao seemed to have many appealing spots as well.
And we found other interesting places as well.
“There’s also Senrihama. I think I’ve seen it in a magazine before.”
“A sandy beach where cars can drive on. We didn’t come by car, but it seems worth a visit.”
“The nearest station is Hagasaku. Still a bit of a walk from there.”
“I heard there’s a bus available, so it should be fine.”
“Yeah, and if worse comes to worst, we can rent a car with my sister’s help.”
“That’s possible. We could park it at a nearby roadside station.”
“You’re starting to understand my sister more, Hayato!”
It’s been a while since we started living together. I think we’re starting to get a good grasp of Fuyuka-san.
“After visiting these two places, it seems like our day will be packed.”
“We can spend this day exploring outside of Kanazawa, then focus on enjoying the surrounding areas.”
“That sounds like a plan.”
We roughly figured out our route.
While looking up transportation options and routes, the sky began to darken, signaling that night was approaching.
Reina noticed the darkness around us.
“Oh, it’s already night!”
“Seriously. Time flies.”
“At night… Are we eating?”
“…I could still go for the lunch set we had.”
It was quite a hefty meal, after all, and we hadn’t done much to work it off.
“There’s a curry place near that restaurant. It’s famous.”
“And you can choose smaller portions there. Let’s go!”
“Yeah! Oh, I wonder if my sister’s awake?”
Reina tried calling Fuyuka-san.
But there was no answer even after waiting for a while.
“She must be asleep.”
“Could be.”
“In that case, let’s just go by ourselves. We can use my sister’s card for payment.”
“I’ll cover it this time.”
While it’s okay to rely on Fuyuka-san when she’s with us, it’s better for us to handle it ourselves when she’s not around.
I left the room, spinning my new credit card on my finger with a hint of excitement.
