When My Younger Brother Stole My Girlfriend, I Began Living Together with My Beautiful Childhood Friend Almost As If We Were Married - Chapter 11
Episode 11: Shopping Date
We arrived at Pengi.
Passing by the gachapon corner and the home appliances section, Reina walks ahead.
And we arrived at the corner where cosmetics are sold.
“Oh, there it is. The serum is running low.”
“I see. You really take care of your skincare, huh?”
“Of course! I want to have smooth skin that feels good whenever Hayato touches it.”
Is she thinking about me even here? I’m touched.
Seeing the price of the serum Reina picked up, I opened my wallet and gave her a little extra money.
“Here, take this. Just in case you forget.”
“Huh!? But this is mine, you know!”
“Let me give it as a gift. I’ll probably rely on it for a long time.”
“But you bought appliances for my room…”
“It’s okay. Accepting something like this and saying thank you sincerely makes the other person happy, I think.”
“I see. Well then, thank you!”
Yeah, I have to take the lead in situations like this. Otherwise, I might end up being seen as a freeloading loser.
“By the way, Hayato, do you have skincare products in your belongings? Maybe you don’t?”
“I use a branded lotion. Sometimes… Well, I tend to skip it.”
“But your skin looks beautiful even so. I envy you.”
Reina said enviously.
After putting the serum in the basket, we take a round inside the store before looking at the deli section.
There might be unexpected finds at Pengi. The other day, a friend found a tapestry in the anime goods corner and was delighted.
I also found a delicious cheesecake in the food corner, so I don’t mind browsing around.
After passing through the cycling and clothing sections, Reina suddenly claps her hands and heads to the outdoor goods corner.
“Hayato! Come here!”
I follow her call, thinking we’re going to the outdoor corner, but to my surprise, she heads straight to the adult goods section.
“Reina-san?”
“There are some sexy cosplay costumes here. What’s your preference, Hayato?”
Taking her away from the outrageous topic, there are costumes that fit one’s preferences, right? But why do I have to reveal my preferences? I don’t want to disclose them unless I’m alone with Reina.
Besides, there’s no need to rely on such things. Reina is attractive enough without them, and they might even become unnecessary.
Reina seemed to understand that kind of conversation. That’s good.
Then, she mentioned that she wanted to buy something secretly. Since there’s a sanitary goods section nearby, we decided to split up for a moment.
While waiting for Reina to return, I went to the anime goods corner.
Surprisingly, Pengi’s anime goods corner is quite well-stocked, although not as much as Animeet.
I casually looked around, and I got excited when I found an acrylic keychain of my favorite character from the mobile game I’m into. Well, these kinds of diversions aren’t bad because they exist.
Feeling a bit excited, Reina returned.
“Sorry to keep you waiting~. Oh, what’s that?”
“My favorite game character. I want to buy it.”
“Wow, it’s cute. Which game?”
“It’s a mobile game.”
“I see. Maybe I should start playing too.”
Absolutely! I strongly invited her and put it in the basket.
Now, it’s time for the food section.
We’re aiming for deli items, but we also look at frozen foods, snacks, and drinks.
Oh, they’re selling the delicious cheesecake again.
“Reina, I tried this cheesecake before, and it was delicious.”
“Really!? Then let’s buy it!”
Another successful conversion for Reina.
I put in a frozen cheesecake, and since the milk is running out soon, I add that too. Also, Reina likes this nata de coco drink, so I throw that in the basket as well.
I think that’s enough for beverages and frozen foods. Oh, having some dumplings in stock would be helpful, so I add those too.
As for snacks… Well, just a few standard items like potato chips.
Now, let’s focus on the deli section.
“What do you want to eat, Hayato?”
“Well… how about some fried chicken? It looks delicious here.”
“Sounds good! Oh, look! The pork cutlet looks tasty too!”
“Yeah, it does! And they have hash browns too. So many choices!”
Excitedly, we pick what we want to eat one after another and put them in the basket.
By the time we put in enough items to fill us up, the basket was already full.
We pay at the register and head home.
I often go to Pengi with friends, but, you know, it’s a different kind of fun when you’re with your lover.
