When I was Reincarnated into a Game World, I Was a Farmer’s Son - Chapter 8
Chapter 8
Hmm, what should I do…
For now, let’s take out the contents of the treasure chest and bury the box back in its original place before returning home.
There’s no doubt that this world is the world of a video game I played in my past life, “Demna Senki.”
But being reincarnated into a game world? I still can’t believe it. However, this treasure chest location, Machikane village, there is no mistake that this is “Denma Senki”.
Now, the biggest problem is figuring out what should I do from now on. Honestly, there’s nothing I particularly want to do just because this is a game world, and on top of that, I don’t feel like there’s anything I can accomplish.
The person I have been reborn as, Neil, isn’t supposed to appear in “Demna Senki.” In other words, I’m just a background character or an NPC, someone unrelated to the story. If I were the main protagonist or a major character in the story, I should’ve been forced to make some choices and prevent the world from being destroyed. Right now, I am just a child from a remote farming village.
It would be disastrous to interfere with the story out of curiosity, I could accidentally cause the narrative to change and potentially lead the world into destruction.
Hmm? Wait a minute, is this even the same era as when the protagonist follows the story?
To confirm, I decided to ask my mom who is preparing dinner in the kitchen.
“What year is it now? Hmm… I think it’s Kingdom Era 412… Eh? Was it 413? Why do you ask?”
“Ah, I see. Thanks.”
If I remember correctly, the protagonist arrives in this kingdom in Kingdom Era 420 or something like that. At the start of the story was around 16 years old. So, I guess are in the same generation.
Well, the protagonist mainly goes around the capital city, and this country is quite vast, so the chances of meeting him is slim. I should just ignore the protagonist, or better yet, forget about him completely. It’s not like thinking about the protagonist will change anything.
More importantly, what should I do about these.
I take out the earrings with the blue gemstone and the silver bracelet from my pocket.
The earrings are called Sapphire Earrings, and the bracelet is an item called Silver Ring of Appraisal.
The Sapphire Earrings have an effect that multiplies experience gained by 5 when equipped. In “Demna Senki,” after defeating the final boss and clearing the game, you can challenge the hidden boss. However, the hidden boss is very strong and really hard to beat, so in the remake version, they added this item to help players level up quickly until reaching the recommended level to face the hidden boss.
Honestly, even without the 5x experience boost, you can reach a decent level just by progressing through the main story until the final boss. So, this item doesn’t have a significant impact on the game’s progression.
The Silver Ring of Appraisal allows you to use the Appraisal skill. I know all this because, in “Demna Senki,” you can constantly check items, equipment, and the stats of allies and enemies through the menu screen or configuration screen.
By using the Appraisal skill, you can uncover development anecdotes, personalities, traits, and other details unrelated to the game’s progression for specific items or characters. It’s more like a bonus skill for hardcore fans.
I wonder what should I do with these things, I know they don’t have a major impact on the progression of the game’s story, but that doesn’t necessarily mean I should keep them.
Hmm, maybe I should just return them to their original place. However, for a farmer like me, they are quite rare items. Since I already dug it up, I might as well keep them as a little reward for myself
