Early in the morning, when the sun is still not fully risen…even though it’s still very early in the morning, there are already many people in the streets of Dasunza.

Right now, I’m preparing to leave Dasunza to go to the capital of Marwell, Sains.

Unlike the mostly flat plains from Northern town to Dansunza, in order to go to Sains, we need to pass through forests, cross rivers, and traversing mountains, it’s quite a challenging and dangerous route.

There is a high chance that we will encounter monsters along the way, we may even encounter bandits or thieves as well. I’m not too concerned about monsters, because I’ve dealt with them before…but bandits and thieves, that’s a bit worrying.

In general, beastmen have high physical abilities.

The reason why Saros has high strength and agility status values is because he has a unique job of a beastman.

By the way, Beastmen cannot change their jobs. The majority of beastmen are either Wolf blade or Beast warrior, which are exclusive jobs for beastmen, also the name of the animal in front of their jobs indicates what race are they from. Being a Wolf warrior means Saros is a wolf-type beastman.

The job titles of Wolf blade and Beast warrior carry the meaning of ‘pitiful beasts who have lost their master’. In the game, it is explained that all beastmen are cursed by certain god.

The deeper explanation the curse is explained in the sequel of ‘Denma Senki’ titled ‘Denma Senki 2’ where the protagonist is a beastmen.

After finding out that Saros will the person to escort me to Sains at the Adventurer’s guild, I immediately use the Appraisal skill on him. With his high-status values and the impression I have of him since our first meeting, I absolutely want him to be my escort.

However, I’m surprised to learn that he is only 28 years old. Because, well, he definitely looks like a middle aged man. Perhaps he has gone through various hardships that aged him prematurely? Or maybe it’s just his appearance? I can’t say for sure.
