If we can’t find any companions or escorts for my journey, I decided to stay in Dasunza alone and wait for an opportunity to travel to the capital of Marwell, Sains.

The next day, Uncle and I once again go to the Adventurer’s Guild, checking our escort request.

If we can’t find any companions or escorts, I will wait at the Twilight inn for someone to accept our request.

While Uncle and I were discussing our plans, the innkeeper approached us and said,

To our surprise, the same receptionist that posted our request at the adventurer’s guild yesterday, said so. We had already discussed and made decisions about our future plans yesterday, but we are surprised that someone actually accepted our request. Nevertheless, it’s a great news.

“I believe the adventurer who accepted your request is in the dining hall. Would you like to meet him now?”

As Uncle look at me and nods, I tell the receptionist that we would like to meet him right now.

Then we all head to the dining hall.

I can’t help but to feel anxious about who my escort could be. As I go to the dining hall anxiously, I notice a familiar, huge beastman at a dining table.

“Thank you for waiting. This is Saros-san, the adventurer who accepted your request.”

I responded him by shaking his hand, he has a rough and strong grip.

As Uncle looks puzzled of the situation, I explain that I had met this beastman by chance the other day. In short, I found his daughter and helped her to find him. I want uncle to know that this person owes me a debt of gratitude.

I was anxious about who the adventurer that will escort me would be, but fortunately, it’s Saros. Uncle seem to be relieved as he has a smile on his face, it seems that uncle sees Saros is not a bad person.

Afterwards, the three of us, Uncle, myself, and the beastman have a brief discussion and decided that we will depart early in the morning the next day.

“Ah, by the way…I’m going to bring my daughter along with me on the escort request. Is that okay?”

I immediately know that he is talking about Meruru.

“Yeah, it’s okay.”

I told him so.

But when uncle heard that he is going to bring along his daughter, I notice that uncle is not too happy about it.

The beastman seem to notice uncle’s reaction too.

Then, uncle explains his concern.

It’s actually very simple, having a young child while escorting a client is seen as a burden, so most clients are against it.

When he was about to give up because no one wants an adventurer with a child to escort them, he happened to see my request. So, he decided to try to accept the request one last time, if it doesn’t work out, he plans to give up on it and go to Sains without an escorting request.

Although my uncle is worried, when I tell him that I want to have this person to escort me, he nods and says okay.

While there are concerns about having a child with us, my uncle seems to be convinced by the fact that Saros already knows me before, and on top of that, it is unlikely we would find another companion or escort if we wait any longer.
