As I continue to walk around, I notice that there is a food stall with a catchy sign claiming to use the highest quality meat from rare monsters. But when I use the Appraisal skill on the grilled skewers they are selling, it turns out to be nothing more than ordinary snake meat, it’s not even monster’s meat.

The locals who seem familiar with the stall must have known about this because it hardly has any customers. However, I notice a few people occasionally buying from the stall.

A voice calling for Meruru can be heard from afar. It’s a deep, husky voice. I look in the direction of the voice and see a tall figure of a Beastman standing out in the crowd.

“Dad!!!”

Meruru immediately rushes out from the bench where she was sitting to her dad, I naturally follow her while holding her hand.

“Meruru! I’m so glad I found you!”

Meruru hugs the leg of the Beastman who seems to be her father. He is indeed really big as Meuru had said.

He is surely over 190cm tall and he is wearing a light armour. Uwaa, he has such a muscular physique. His face has the aura of an experienced warrior, rugged and formidable. However, he seems to be on the verge of tears himself, he must be really worried about Meruru. There is no doubt that he is Meruru’s dad.

“By the way, who are you?”

While patting Meruru’s head as she rubs her face against his leg, he asked me so.

“I’m Neil. I found Meruru when she seemed to be lost and took care of her.”

“Dad! Neil Onii-chan helped me!”

I learned a lesson to be cautious of preconceptions even though Appraisal skill is really convenient.
