When I was Reincarnated into a Game World, I Was a Farmer’s Son - Chapter 28
Chapter 28
It’s been six months since I first used my handmade wooden spear to kill a Yokozuna Devil. My level has increased to level 24.
In these six months, my fishing routine didn’t go so well. I couldn’t go to the lake because of the raining season in our village, and on top of that, I had to remake my wooden spear because it broke.
One day, as usual, after I killed a Yokozuna devil with my wooden spear on the lakeshore.
I use the Appraisal skill and check my own status.

I have acquired a new skill!
Yes!
…wait a minute, it’s called Stick Art!?
It seems that my handmade wooden spear isn’t considered a spear at all, it is considered as a stick. Well, it’s fine, it is indeed just a wooden stick that I sharpen, not a spear. I know that very well… but still, a skill is a skill, it will help me in combat no matter what.
Skill: Stick Art
Increases the power and damage of striking or thrusting with stick-like objects.
STR + (lv. × 0.5)
DEX + (lv. × 0.5)
Anyway, now that I’ve learned a skill that is useful in combat, I need to level up as quickly as possible and start hunting monsters.
By the way, it took me six months to acquire the Stick Art skill, meanwhile I acquired the Stone Throw skill in just one try. Maybe the Stone Throw skill is more suited for the Farmer job? There might be other skills that don’t exist in the game as well. Either way, once I can defeat monsters, I’ll try out various things to acquire new skills.
Before I knew it, another six months has passed. I continued my fishing routine as usual. I don’t know it is because of my luck or what, but I’ve never encountered any other monster besides that incident with the Forest Wolf. I think it’s because monsters don’t generally come out of the forest.
Speaking of troubles, my fishing hook broke once, but I was able to make a new one using the fish bones I had left. It took me about a week to make it this time, whereas it took me a few months when I made it the first time. I believe it’s because my status values and level has grown quite a lot since that time.
On top of that, due to my status values, I’m able to train harder and harder each day. I’m sure that I am now as strong as I was an adult in my previous life. Levelling up is truly amazing, I can feel my physical strength becomes stronger and stronger every day.
And before I knew it, the day I reach my target level finally comes.

Because I’ve turned another year older, my level also increased by one level. My Stick Art skill has also levelled up. Honestly, my status values are still quite low, but I believe it is just enough for me to fight some weak monsters. I think I can manage to handle a one-on-one fight with a Forest Wolf now.
However, it is important to remember that it’s all based on my status values, I’m still not sure if I can actually fight and defeat a monster. So, in the meantime, I need to find weaker monsters and gain experience points by hunting them.
Honestly, fighting monsters is scary, however, in order to level up quickly, I need to take some risks.
