When I Was Reincarnated, I Got the Skills [Slave Command] and [Recovery], so I Created a Secret Society for Slaves Just for Fun - Chapter 11 - Ten Copper Coins
Chapter 11 – Ten Copper Coins
My father bought me a slave, and I immediately signed a slave contract with her while she was in a coma. In the carriage on the way home, I held her Dragonoid’s hand and activated my [Recovery] skill.
She, the Dragonoid woman who became my first slave, was apparently discarded by her parents as a defective product. Perhaps due to this reason, her price was almost close to free for someone with issues.
In fact, it seems that the company doesn’t really care if she’s free because it eliminates the financial burden on them, but since nothing in this world is more expensive than free, there is solid evidence that we officially purchased her from the slave market here in the sales contract. She was sold for 10 copper coins.
Also, one of the reasons why her price is so low is that even if she miraculously recovers, her original value is low because she is incompetent to begin with.
Ironically, this turned out to be a significant advantage for Fruda, the former head of the Mage Association, as it allowed Fruda to acquire a high-quality Dragonoid magic organ at an incredibly low cost.
Incidentally, the price Fruda paid for her was five silver coins, which is extremely low considering the price of a Dragonoid slave, which would easily exceed thirty gold coins.
Her life sounds so unfortunate. Unconsciously, I gripped her hand with a newfound determination to make her feel grateful now that she is under my care.
Yet, looking at this Dragonoid woman, she has dragon-like scales on her neck, part of her face and cheeks, tips of her limbs, a large tail on her buttocks, and splendid wings on her back. Despite her precarious state between life and death, observing her unique dragon-like physique stirred an exhilarating feeling within me, a clear indication that I had truly arrived in another world.
Even so, having to activate [Recovery] all the time, even if it’s just to raise my skill level, is more tiring than I imagined.
Now, I think it’s understandable why no one has ever gone to the trouble of activating the skill [Recovery].
In the end, the skill seemed to have limited applications, primarily serving as a temporary measure until reaching the proficiency of skills like [Saint] or [Priest].
In this case, even if I was able to acquire the skill [Recovery], my proficiency level would not increase at all.
Exhausted from the effort, I must have fallen asleep without realizing it.
After being shaken lightly by my father, I finally realized that the carriage had arrived home.
“Good job today. For now, take a rest.”
“Yes, Father. I will do that. If you could, I’d appreciate it if she could be brought to my room along with a new bed.”
