Chapter 65 – What I Think of Yua-Chan
I asked Akane to have lunch together during the lunch break, but she turned me down.
She seems to be having a discussion with Misaki-neechan and the others.
Feeling left out, I opened the lunch Misaki-neechan made for me in the classroom.
“Hey, Souta. Let’s eat together!”
Ryuuya, whose body and skin tone has completely returned to normal, sat in front of me and put his lunch on the table.
“Yeah, that sounds great. Without Akane and the others, I was about to eat alone. Thanks for inviting me.”
“I wouldn’t let Souta be lonely~ We’re buddies, after all!”
Ryuuya said, grabbing my shoulders forcefully.
“Y-you’ve been acting pretty intense lately… Did your personality changed or something?”
Since the day Yua-chan came to our classroom, Ryuuya’s body shape has been gradually returning to normal, and his energy levels shot up too.
He’s also been getting closer to me.
“Recently, a long-standing worry of mine got resolved… I’ve been reborn!!”
Ryuuya spread his arms wide with a big smile.
“I-I see… That’s good to hear.”
Ryuuya’s current level of excitement is strange, but this is healthier than the weak Ryuuya he was before.
“Hey, by the way, Souta…”
Ryuuya suddenly said my name with a serious look on his face.
“Hmm? What is it?”
“What do you think of my sister… Yua?”
“Yua-chan? What I think of her? That’s a bit sudden…”
Saionji Yua.
She is the eldest daughter of the Saionji family, one of the four major conglomerate families, and Ryuuya’s younger sister.
And I think she’s also an idol.
“Yua-chan is an idol, right? You’re so lucky to have a sister who’s a celebrity, Ryuuya.”
“That’s not what I’m asking you!”
Ryuuya glared at me and raised his voice.
He’s so intimidating, I wish he’d stop glaring at me… He’s kid of scary.
“Ah! S-sorry… I didn’t mean to raise my voice like that.”
“N-no, it’s fine…”
Ryuuya took a deep breath, cleared his throat, and looked straight at me again.
“Do you see Yua as a woman?”
“Huh?”
Come to think of it, Yua-chan said she had fallen in love with me…
I wonder if as a brother, Ryuuya is interested in his sister’s relationship?
“I-I mean, even though I’m dating people from the four major conglomerate families, that doesn’t mean I’m going to see my friend’s sister as a woman!”
I quickly tried to explain myself to Ryuuya.
If I made a move on Yua-chan and Ryuuya glared at me like he did earlier, I don’t know what might happen.
“W-why!? So the Kagurazaka and Kisaragi families are okay, but not the Saionji family!?”
Ryuuya said, standing up vigorously.
“It’s not that it’s not okay! Yua-chan is cute, and she seems like a good girl, but she’s my friend’s sister——”
“What?! So you do think she’s cute and a good girl?!”
Ryuuya grabbed me by both shoulders and shook my body violently.
I have no intention of discriminating, but seeing Ryuyya get so emotional reminds me that he really is a member of one of the four major conglomerate families.
“Of course she’s cute! I mean, she can’t become a popular idol if she’s not cute, right?”
“So, are you saying you don’t want to marry an idol!?”
“I didn’t say that! What’s going on with you, Ryuuya?!”
Ryuuya then took his hands off my shoulders and slowly sat down.
“If I don’t push Yua onto Souta soon, I don’t know when she’ll come back to me. But Souta does think of Yua as a good girl, he just can’t muster up the courage… I guess I’ll just have to create a situation where Yua can make a move on Souta.”
Ryuuya started muttering to himself.
“R-Ryuuya?”
“Okay, I got it! Souta, why don’t you come over to my house?”
“Huh?”
“It’s fine, right? We’re friends, after all! It’s only natural for us to go over to each other’s houses, and there’s nothing weird about it, right?”
It certainly isn’t weird.
But I’m sure Ryuuya’s house is pretty big and luxurious as well.
It feels a little different from the feeling of going over to a normal friend’s house…
“N-no, I’ll pass… If I accidentally break something expensive in Ryuuya’s house, it’ll be irreparable. Let’s just hang out at an arcade or something.”
“If two guys go to an arcade, we’ll get hit on and won’t have time to play games!”
Ah, this is a world where chastity is reversed.
I’ve been living in this world for a while, but I’m still not used to the common sense around here.
“But the last time I went to Akane’s house, the furniture and decorations were too luxurious, and it was really overwhelming…”
Akane’s house had expensive-looking paintings and antiques everywhere, and the plates and teacups I used were probably pretty expensive too.
I thought about what would happen if I broke something…and I remember eating my meal while trembling.
“It’s okay, my family doesn’t care if one or two pieces of furniture or decorations get broken. In the end, money can solve that.”
“But there are items that are unique or one of a kind, right? I don’t really know the value of those kinds of things, and if something breaks, I really can’t pay for it.”
If I have to pay for it, I’d be living on bean sprouts for the rest of my life.
I really don’t want to start a life of debt at 17.
“We keep all the important stuff in the storehouse. Even if Souta breaks something in the house, I don’t think we’ll make him pay for it. We only have things worth 100 or 200 million yen on display, so don’t worry.”
“O-oh…”
The way rich people think is scary.
He just said a value that an ordinary person like me can’t possibly understand.
“Please! Come visit my house!”
Ryuuya said, clasping his hands in front of his face.
“Why do you want to invite me over so badly?”
“W-well… I-I’ve never actually had a male friend come over to my house to hang out. That’s why I wanted to invite Souta over and introduce him to my family.”
“Ah, well, if that’s the case, I’ll come over.”
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
“Great! I’ll prepare a feast for you then!”
“P-please don’t make it anything too overwhelming…”
Ryuuya then took out his smartphone and started typing something.
“Alright, alright… First, I’ll text Yua. I mean, it’s not the whole truth, but I’m not lying either…”
Ryuuya started muttering to himself again.
“Anyway, let me know when you’re free! You probably need to check with your girlfriends, right?”
“Yeah. I’ll ask Misaki-neechan when I get home.”
