After lunch with Yozora-senpai, I returned to the classroom.

But there was something strange going on in the classroom. There was a weird atmosphere.

At first I decided to go to my friend Sakazaki. Sakazaki is with his girlfriend, Ubara-san, as usual.

“Ah, Soichi.”

“Ah, Soichi-kun, you’re in big trouble.”

“Big trouble?”

“I’m sure you have an idea of what I’m talking about, don’t you?”

When I approached, they greeted me with impatient and surprised looks.

From what was said, I guess she meant that I was the reason for the weird atmosphere in the classroom. Of course I have an idea, as that’s something I’ve been thinking about.

“You mean about me and Yozora-senpai?”

“Yeah, that’s right. You, I don’t know what it is, but it looks like you’ve done something bold, doesn’t it?”

“I thought that was the best way to do it at the time, but apparently I was wrong. I made a lot of noise.”

“…No, not really.”

Sakazaki slowly shook his head at my words.

The response is, to be honest, surprising. But what does it mean that the action was not a mistake?

“Well, it seems that the information that Kuromiya-senpai, the idol of the school, is dating a second-year student from who knows where is quite a hot topic, but still, the situation probably isn’t that bad, you know.”

“Is that so? Yozora-senpai was concerned that I would be questioned about a lot of things.”

“That’s where your behavior attracted attention. You proudly walked into the upperclassmen’s classroom and declared that you were going out with Yozora-senpai. That’s what happened, right?”

I could only give an indifferent response to Sakazaki’s words. I couldn’t really get into the content yet.

“Am I accepted as a boyfriend of Yozora-senpai? I just had a conversation with senpai about the possibility of animosity…”

I wasn’t sure if Sakazaki was complimenting me or putting me down.

But it seems to be true that my actions have resulted in a positive outcome. That’s a happy miscalculation for me.

“Well, but everyone seems to be wondering how you went out with Kuromiya-senpai…”

“How we went out, huh? I’m still not sure about that either…”

“That’s right. You were shouting that you wanted a girlfriend and Kuromiya-senpai came over and for some reason you ended up going out. To be honest, I don’t understand why.”

It’s only natural that everyone has doubts about the relationship between me and Yozora-senpai. I myself don’t fully understand why we got together, so there’s no way anyone else can understand.

She and I never had any contact. We went to the same school, but we never got involved with each other. I was aware of Yozora-senpai, but I was probably just another student to her.

Even after all that, why did she grant my wish? I can’t understand that. Of course, it’s not impossible that everything Yozora-senpai said was true.

“What do you think of this, Akari?”

“Eh? Me?”

“Can’t you think of this from the female point of view?”

“Erm…”

Sakazaki then turned to Ubara-san. It’s true that she might have a point of view closer to Yozora-senpai than either I or Sakazaki think.

However, it doesn’t seem that Ubara-san can understand it either, judging from her reaction. Regardless of gender, does this mean that Yozora-senpai’s behavior is a mystery?

Certainly, if Yozora-senpai fell in love with me at first sight, then that proposal would be valid. Sakazaki is right, it’s not impossible.

I wonder what Yozora-senpai is really thinking. It’s a little frustrating that I still don’t know. If I could understand her true intentions, I feel that she and I would be able to understand each other better.
