The moment he spoke those words, the knight commander’s body began to glow white.

“White Defense, activate—”

The knight commander’s head exploded before he could chant his spell. 

It was even more gruesome than two years ago, as blood splattered everywhere.

Next, his armor and body burst apart, with the fragments causing considerable damage to the surrounding knights and mages.

Protected by the ice barrier Lilia had created, I spoke.

“How dull.”

Two years had passed since that fateful party. And just a few hours ago, I had given them a glimpse of my power.

I expected that someone of his stature, standing as the Empire’s strongest, would have grown in those two years and devised some strategy after witnessing my abilities.

His actions were exactly the same as two years ago. He activated his unique magic as his first move, planning to charge at us afterward. 

Is this how the strongest knight in the Empire supposed to be?

“Understood.”

A barrier expanded in a 200-meter radius around the mansion, making it impossible for anyone or anything to enter or leave.

Now, none of them will escape.

Outside the barrier, the knights and mages who managed to regain their footing were staring at the stain on the ground that was once their commander. It was a scene eerily similar to two years ago.

“Don’t let anyone leave out of here alive.”
