Interlude – 1 | The Late Night Fun
My name is Karma.
I am one of the maids who serve Lord Wraith Heaville, my final master in this life and the benefactor who saved me from hell.
Yesterday, I stayed up late to welcome my master who had been working until late at night.
Today, as usual, I woke up at the regular time and began my day by cleaning the mansion located within the Imperial Capital.
After finishing cleaning the wide corridors of the mansion, the next task is to clean the dining hall.
From the kitchen, I could hear Amaryllis, who also serves the master as a maid like me, preparing breakfast.
I started cleaning the dining hall while listening to that sound.
After a while, the door to the dining hall opened, and a woman entered.
It was Lady Reina Ruinveil, who has been staying in this mansion for some time.
“Good morning, Lady Reina.”
“…Ah, good morning, Karma.”
“Breakfast will take a little while to be ready, so please have a seat and wait.”
“Okay…”
Her complexion wasn’t great when she entered the dining hall, and it seems she was tired.
As a guest of this mansion, Lady Reina must be treated with the utmost hospitality. Keeping her in good health is also part of our duty as maids.
“Lady Reina, you look unwell. Did you not sleep well last night?”
“…Did it really show up on my face?”
“Yes.”
“I see…”
Lady Reina let out a small sigh and started speaking with a slight blush on her cheeks.
“Well, actually… last night, I kept hearing those noises from the room of Wraith Heaville…”
I see… I completely understood the reason for her strange complexion after hearing Lady Reina’s words.
It’s true, last night was more intense than usual.
It was so loud that we could hear it from the maid’s quarters, which are at a considerable distance.
Lady Reina, who sleeps even closer to Wraith-sama’s room, must have heard those sounds even more clearly.
“Um… Is Wraith Heaville always like this…? They were so loud all night long…”
At that point, Lady Reina covered her face with her hands, as she blushed deeply.
What an innocent reaction… It’s natural for a noble’s daughter, but she’s acting very naive.
“It’s not always like that. Last night, they seemed particularly aroused, that may be the reason for the loud noises.”
“I see.”
“Also, master engage in such activities every night. Please be cautious when visiting his room at night.”
“Eek… I understand.”
Though it’s unlikely, I gave her a warning just in case.
It’s important to ensure that master doesn’t get displeased.
Even so, she reacted so innocently like this to last night’s event.
I wonder how she would react if she knew there’s something even more intense.
There was a time when master indulged in his desires for three full days. During that time, meals were minimal, and he was continuously engaged in those activities.
I remember struggling to resist the scent of sex that filled their room while delivering meals to the master’s room in shifts with other maids.
In the end, according to Master’s wishes, none of us got intimate with him directly, but he did use his hands to satisfy us. In the end it resulted in us skipping meals for an entire day.
As I recalled such memories, I noticed my underwear was damp.
This is bad… It’s indecent to get wet while remembering such things while working.
Shaking my head to clear my thoughts, I returned to work while keeping an eye on Lady Reina who was still blushing.

Author’s Note :
To avoid any misunderstandings, I want to clarify something.
Some of you might feel that Wraith’s image has been ruined by this single chapter. However, this is how I originally envisioned him.
I created his character based on the concept of a villain who is faithful to his desires.
This is his true nature.
So far, the scenes might have only portrayed him as cool or merciless, but that’s only due to the circumstances.
Therefore, the Wraith I imagined is ‘a person with overwhelming power, has a firm will, never loses, and is faithful to his desires (mainly material and sexual)’.
Thank you for understanding this.

Interlude – 2 | Her Past
“Now that I think about it… Serena, why were you a slave when we first met?”
It was a holiday, about a week after the incident at the academy during the night.
As I was leisurely sipping tea in the mansion’s living room, Lilia, who was also drinking tea, asked me this question.
“Indeed, I am curious as well.”
Following Lilia’s lead, Lulua also looked at me with an intrigued expression.
Come to think of it, I had never told them, nor Master, about the real reason why I was in that state.
I had completely forgotten about it because no one had asked and I got so used to my current life that I had no chance to tell him about it.
“Is it really that interesting?”
“Yes, of course.”
“It’s strange for someone as strong as you to become a slave.”
Having spent more than two years together, it was only natural for them to realize that it was odd for someone with my abilities to end up as a slave.
As the one who reigns supreme over all vampires, ‘The Azure Emperor of Vampires’, there was no way I could lose to mere humans.
Yet, I had been a slave under a human. It was only natural to be curious about it.
“Alright then. I’ll give you a simple explanation.”
I organized my thoughts in my head and began to speak again.
“First of all, you know that vampires sustain themselves by drinking the blood of other beings, right?”
“Yes, it’s basic knowledge.”
“But do you know that there’s something about this blood-drinking act that’s not widely known among humans?”
“…No, I didn’t.”
“Neither did I.”
The sisters tilted their heads cutely in unison. I almost wanted to bite into their necks.
“Well, it’s that vampires get younger by a certain number of years when they drink blood.”
“Get younger?”
“Yes… It varies depending on the creature whose blood is drunk, but for human blood, a single drink generally makes the body about six months younger.”
“That’s…”
“Incredible. So, in essence, you’re practically immortal.”
Lilia wore a slightly serious expression, while Lulua’s face was filled with curiosity. Their expressions were a stark contrast.
“Yes, vampires must regularly drink blood to survive. And each time, they become younger, even if only a little. This makes the concept of aging almost non-existent, which also becomes a problem for us. Do you understand why?”
“…Eternal boredom, perhaps?”
“Exactly.”
Lilia is indeed smart. Conversations go smoothly and stress-free when dealing with someone like her. It makes talking enjoyable.
“I stopped counting, but I’ve already lived for nearly a thousand years. Because of that, every day was unbearably boring. The world was changing, but from my perspective, those changes were minor and fleeting, so the boredom never went away. That’s why, to escape that boredom, I willingly chose the status of a slave, something I had never experienced in my entire life.”
I paused to take a sip of tea. Once my mouth was moistened, I spoke the most important part.
“Thanks to that, I met Master. And the boredom vanished, so it was the best decision I ever made. I grabbed hold of good fortune.”
“Yes, meeting Master was a stroke of luck for me as well.”
“Meeting Wraith-sama has been the greatest fortune in my life, too.”
We all shared smiles brimming with emotion, eagerly waiting to hear the footsteps of our beloved.

Interlude – 3 | The Anguish Of A Certain Priest
There are many kingdoms that exist across this continent, each one home to a church that holds significant influence.
I was dispatched as a priest from the Holy Kingdom, the central authority, to the branch in the Luvia Empire.
My name is Roland.
I have served as a priest at the Luvia Empire branch for over ten years now.
During this time, I have faced no problems, dedicating my days praying to God and performing my priestly duties.
I thought these peaceful days would continue until the next priest was sent to replace me.
However, for the past few years, ever since a certain oracle was delivered from the Holy Kingdom, I have been unable to get a good night’s sleep.
And why is that?
Because I have not yet fulfilled the oracle’s command.
The oracle given a few years ago stated: “Within the Luvia Empire, there are three girls bestowed with power by God. Protect them and revere them as saints.”
It was common knowledge within the church that three saints are born in each era. Preparations were made to find these saints at any time, so the search began immediately after the oracle was given.
As a result, within less than a year, we found and protected two of the three saints.
Now, these two saints are using their powers daily for the church and the people.
But the problem lies here.
The last saint has yet to be found.
We have already searched the entire territory of the empire thoroughly.
And yet, she remains undiscovered.
Since saints are usually of common birth, we carefully checked every commoner.
Sometimes saints come from noble families, so we requested the Emperor’s cooperation to check every noble lady.
Eventually, we even ventured into the underworld, using human wave tactics to check slaves and prostitutes.
But she was nowhere to be found.
The negative emotions towards myself for failing to fulfill the oracle, combined with the fear that the saint might have passed away, have deprived me of proper sleep.
When I once consulted a doctor, I was told, “You’re in an extremely precarious state. It wouldn’t be surprising if your mind and body reached their limit with the slightest trigger.”
I’m aware of it myself.
I know very well that I could collapse at any moment.
I understand it clearly. But…
“Oh God, what should I do?”
I pray to the statue of God displayed in the church, but as always, silence is the only answer.
If I were a more devout believer, would God answer me?
“Father Roland.”
“Hmm, what’s the matter?”
“I have a few things to confirm with you regarding the upcoming visit to the Magic Academy.”
“Ah, it’s that time of year again, isn’t it?”
Once a year, the priest serving at the Luvia Empire branch visits the prestigious Magic Academy of the Luvia Empire.
The purpose is to recruit promising individuals who cannot inherit their family estates, whether they are nobles or commoners, into the church’s own fighting force, the Holy Knights.
At this time of year, after the academy has been in session for a while, the students have relaxed, showing their true potential, and most of them haven’t decided on their future paths yet, making it easier to recruit them.
I was mentally exhausted from constantly worrying about the saint, so this would serve as a good distraction.
Thinking this, I stretched my legs and stood up.
“I wonder if the saint might be enrolled in the Magic Academy…”
These thoughts inadvertently escaped my lips.

The first two chapters were funny and wholesome. 🥰
Though I suspect that the Church will end up becoming the new antagonist. I suspected as much since Lilia was the Saintess and Wraith and Lilia intended on keeping her powers a secret to prevent this kind of thing from happening. However, such secrets will always be found out.
