Chapter 49 : Entrance Ceremony!
Two weeks had passed since the completion of the proficiency test.
It was now the day of the entrance ceremony for the Magic Academy.
However, even with the entrance ceremony, the morning routine remained unchanged. I woke up as usual, practiced, and had breakfast.
If anything had changed, it was probably just changing into the Magic Academy’s uniform after breakfast.
The Magic Academy’s uniform had a military-like design with black as the base color. The shoes were also shaped like boots, and white gloves were included with the uniform. It was clearly inspired by military attire.
In a world where the concept of military uniforms didn’t exist, the original production company probably chose this design because it looked cool. At least, that’s what it felt like.
While thinking about such things, I finished changing into the uniform. Thinking it was a good opportunity, I put on the gloves. Just then, there was a knock on the door.
“Master, may I come in?”
The voice asking permission was of Lilia.
Although there was nothing unusual about changing in front of each other at this point, I wanted her to see me completely changed, so he changed in a different room.
After giving permission, the door opened, and Lilia, dressed in the Magic Academy uniform, entered. Following her was Lulua.
Lilia came up to me and spun around in place, smiling.
“How does it look, Master?”
“It suits you.”
“Hehe~, thank you.”
Saying that, Lilia blushed happily.
The Magic Academy uniform Lilia wore was for girls and had a knee-length skirt with frills. Lilia usually preferred skirts longer than knee-length, so this length was very refreshing. In addition, she had tied her usually loose hair into a ponytail, giving her a different vibe. It was the Lilia seen only after entering the Magic Academy.
“…Wraith-sama, how about me?”
“Lulua looks good too.”
Just like Lilia, Lulua looked very good in the uniform. However, because Lulua handled a sword, the military-style uniform suited her well, giving her a certain dignity.
“Thanks. Wraith-sama, you look good too.”
“Is that so?”
“It’s really cool. I want to hug you right now.”
In return for praising their uniformed appearances, the two complimented his uniformed figure. Somehow, it didn’t feel bad. I spread my arms in silence and Lilia jumped into them.
We soon headed to the Magic Academy by carriage and entered the Grand Hall, the venue for the entrance ceremony.
The empire had a vast territory, so even with just this year’s incoming students, the number was enormous.
As we entered the Grand Hall, the population density suddenly increased.
However, it had nothing to do with us. We walked along less crowded paths away from the main road, almost empty passages, and entered a private space with walls on both sides, resembling individual rooms.
There was one sofa that could accommodate several people and two single sofas. From there, we could see the stage below.
These were the so-called seats for Nobels.
The seating arrangement for the entrance ceremony reflected the feudal system. Commoners sat in chairs with relatively narrow spaces, and barons and viscounts had more comfortable intervals but the same height as the commoners’ chairs.
On the other hand, earls, marquises, and dukes sat in places above the commoners and lower-ranking nobles, similar to the private rooms where they were currently seated.
It was the privilege of high-ranking nobles.
With Lilia and Lulua sitting on either side, I relaxed while observing the scene below. A man, presumably a faculty member, stood on the stage and used a magical device as a loudspeaker to address them.
“We will begin the entrance ceremony shortly. Students who are not in their seats, please take your seats.”
In response to the faculty member’s words, several students hurriedly returned to their seats. Shortly afterward, the auditorium dimmed, and the stage became bright.
It was probably done to concentrate the attention on the stage due to the large number of people.
“Now, we will commence the opening ceremony of the Advanced Magic Academy.”
A different man from before ascended to the stage and declared the opening of the entrance ceremony using a magical device.
The entrance ceremony, like those in his previous life, featured mundane speeches from uninteresting people. Nobles who had donated large sums to the academy, nobles holding honorary positions at the academy, and other nobles spoke uninteresting stories as if they were something to be grateful for.
Both Lilia and Lulua were bored with the uninteresting stories from the early stages, and I entertained myself with other things.
However, I focused on the stage due to the words of the man who had declared the opening of the entrance ceremony.
“Next is the speech from the representative of the new students, Her Royal Highness Princess Zelicia Renri Luvia.”
The man’s words drew attention to the stage, where a girl with glossy blonde hair and a dignified demeanor appeared.
She was the first princess of this country, Zelicia Renri Luvia, one of the heroines in the original work.
She was a personable character who could interact with people regardless of their status, often visiting the commoners and actively engaging in exchanges with the people to confirm the state of the capital with her own eyes. As a result, she gained significant popularity among the people of the empire, and her influence was immeasurable.
In the original work, when the protagonist entered Zelicia’s route, she used her influence to support the protagonist’s actions. As an antagonist character, I needed to be cautious about her.
“Prepare for the worst and come up with some countermeasures.”
Zelicia finished her speech as the representative of the new students, and the entrance ceremony proceeded smoothly, concluding.
Afterwards, there were some brief talks in his assigned class, as pre-informed, and my schedule at the Magic Academy for the day came to an end.
“If you finish early, wait at the gate.”
“Yes.”
“Understood.”
Leaving Lilia and Lulua with Leviana, I headed towards my class with Serena.

Getting tired of royalty being interested in commoners as a story plot. Getting kinda old. But in this case, it makes the story interesting since, unlike many princesses, this one has actual influence and power that can actually help the protagonist if they get together, forming an actual threat to the villain character (MC).
