About a week had passed since Samidare, the new addition to the circle and a fan of the beautiful Minase sisters, had entered our lives.

“…Are weekends always this exhausting?” I sighed, feeling the fatigue wash over me.

“Samidare-chan’s always clinging to you at school, isn’t she?” Next to me, Kana rubbed my shoulders, showing her concern.

At school, we tried to spend time together unnoticed by classmates, but Samidare, with her sharp instincts, somehow always found us and joined in.

This happened even when Minase was around. Whether it was lunchtime, commuting to and from school, or even on weekends, Samidare had a knack for appearing out of nowhere.

Still, I suppose it was a small blessing that Kana and I managed to carve out some time alone together amidst all this.

At school, we’d sneak moments together when Samidare wasn’t looking, and on weekends, we’d discreetly meet at the Minase household. Those early fears of not having any time alone together turned out to be unfounded.

Minase was considerate, too, spending time with us only during commutes and lunch. Occasionally, she’d join us on weekends, but it was never intrusive. Samidare, while persistent, respected boundaries. If Kana told her off, she’d back off immediately. And if we gave her advance notice, she wouldn’t tag along on our dates.

Of course, this meant we had to keep her informed about our plans.

The past week had been an oddly balanced mix of ups and downs, but overall, it was a fulfilling time.

And today marked the day of our long-awaited amusement park date.

We met early in the morning, boarded a train, and arrived at the magical kingdom. Wearing our pre-purchased matching headbands, Kana and I were ready for the day.

“There are so many people here… I can already feel how tiring this will be.”

“True, but I’m going to enjoy this day to the fullest!” Amid the line forming at the gates before opening, Kana and I stood together.

Despite waking up at 4 AM, Kana was full of energy. Meanwhile, I was running on little sleep due to excitement and lingering fatigue from the week.

Even though she must’ve been tired from dealing with Samidare, Kana, being a high schooler, seemed to have boundless stamina.

“I’m so glad we managed to come here just the two of us today.”

Holding my hand, Kana ran her fingers through her hair with her free hand as she spoke.

“All those firm warnings to the other two must’ve worked.” “I had to tell them three times before they finally got it!”

“Well, Minase is fine, but Samidare…” “She wouldn’t stop going on about wanting to see her senpai on a uniform date. Too bad we didn’t wear uniforms.”

“Honestly, I think casual outfits are a nice change. I prefer it this way.”

“Wait, are you saying I look cute?” Kana leaned forward, peering into my face with a teasing grin.

“Yeah, you’re cute. The cutest in the universe.” Not wanting to lose to her teasing, I decided to fight back with compliments.

“…Thanks.” “You’re adorable.”

“Enough already…” “Wait, didn’t you want me to say it?”

“Not now! Maybe later…” “Well, you’re still cute.”

“Stop it already!” These little moments of flirting were a special privilege of being alone together.

If the other two were here, Minase would tease us, and Samidare would interrupt out of jealousy.

But today, there were no intrusions. I was determined to enjoy this date to the fullest!

At least, that’s what I thought. Little did we know, even then, there were eyes quietly watching us from behind.
