When I Helped Out At My Classy Classmate's Family Home, They Started Going All Out To Close In On Me From Every Angle. - Chapter 20: Coincidence?— 1
Coincidence?— 1
“…kun. …Wake up, …kun.”
Amid the hazy realm of half-sleep, a voice reached me, soft and delicate like a cloud, imbued with a kindness that could soothe even the most troubled heart.
That voice gently lifted me from the depths of unconsciousness, guiding me back to awareness.
“Oh, you’re awake now.”
“Huh?”
As I blinked my eyes open, I found myself utterly dumbfounded. Ayame was straddling my waist.
The shock jolted me awake, wiping away any lingering drowsiness in an instant. Yet, the sheer surprise left my mind blank, as if I were still dreaming.
While I remained frozen in place, Ayame greeted me with a radiant smile.
“Good morning, Tetsu-kun.”
“Ah, uh, good morning… Wait, what are you doing, Ayame?!”
Finally snapping back to reality, I questioned her with a heart pounding so loudly it nearly drowned out my own words.
“I’m imitating a scene from Sweet Kitty. There’s a part where the character wakes someone up just like this,” she explained.
“That scene, huh? But why would you want to reenact it?”
“I thought that if I recreated a scene from my favorite manga, it might make you happy,” Ayame answered with a shy smile.
The thudding in my chest, which had been from sheer shock moments earlier, shifted to a new rhythm—a mix of joy and embarrassment.
Of course, I was thrilled that Ayame went out of her way to recreate a scene to make me happy. But even more so, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of warmth knowing that she was thinking of me so earnestly.
I let out a sheepish laugh.
“It nearly gave me a heart attack, but with that much effort, I can’t really be mad, can I?”
“Fufu, I’m sorry if I startled you,” Ayame replied, sticking out her tongue playfully.
She had such a mischievous side to her.
Seeing this unexpected facet of Ayame’s personality brought a smile to my face, even as I tried to steady my breath.
And then—
“—!!!”
My eyes widened in panic as I quickly turned my face away.
Ayame, dressed in her school uniform, was wearing the classic attire of Sakurazawa Academy—a navy blazer paired with a red ribbon tie and a green-checkered skirt.
And yes, she was wearing that skirt while straddling my waist.
In that position, lying on my back, looking up at her meant my gaze inadvertently ventured into dangerous territory.
The inner side of her skirt—something no gentleman should ever see—flashed before my eyes.
For a fleeting moment, I thought I caught a glimpse of something white near the base of her thighs. That thought alone sent me spiraling into panic.
I-I think I might’ve seen something I wasn’t supposed to… No, don’t remember it! Forget it, now!
Despite my best efforts to rein in my thoughts, the image burned itself into my mind, a cruel replay I couldn’t stop.
As if that weren’t enough, my body betrayed me further. The sensation of Ayame’s soft thighs pressing against my sides, the gentle weight of her hips resting on my lower abdomen—it all became painfully noticeable.
Heat surged through my body, and to my horror, I felt the blood rushing southward.
This is bad! This is really bad! If Ayame realizes what’s happening, I’m finished! I have to get out of this situation, now!
Gripped by sheer desperation, I pleaded with Ayame for help.
“Could you, um, please get off, Ayame?”
“Eh? Could it be… that you didn’t like it?”
Ayame’s face fell, and it seemed like she thought she had upset me. She was misunderstanding my reaction.
No, it’s not that! Ayame didn’t do anything wrong! It’s just that I can’t control my male instincts!
I wanted to clarify the truth to reassure Ayame, but doing so would completely shatter my dignity.
Torn between my conscience and self-preservation, I shook my head vigorously.
“Th-that’s not it! Absolutely not! I was happy, really!”
“That’s a relief…”
Ayame let out a breath of relief and smiled.
“Then, would it be alright if I wake you up like this again from now on?”
“Please, absolutely don’t do that!”
Another disaster narrowly avoided, but I wasn’t out of the woods yet.
Seeing me desperately trying to decline, Ayame blinked in confusion.
“Why not? I thought you were happy?”
“Well, I am happy, but… y-you know, men have… certain things to deal with…”
“Certain things?”
“Anyway! No more waking me up like this, okay?!”
“I-I see…”
Ayame tilted her head to the side, clearly not understanding my reasons.
Well, I’d be in trouble if she did understand.
