I still can’t die, and I still wish for death. However, they understand this, so they won’t let go of me. Though I have a faint feeling that I’ll continue to be bound by them until I reach the end of my life, this desire to die will probably linger.
Shouko, Misuzu, Karen, and Kyoka have graduated from high school.
Misuzu, Karen, and Kyoka went on to university, and Shoko dedicated herself to being a Vtuber, earning even more money. It seemed that Shoko, rather than going to university, focused on her Vtuber activities, strongly wished to stay close to me, and so she didn’t pursue higher education.
Of course, she earned resentment from others who entered different universities. She said, “I can earn enough money on my own to support Satoru, but you can’t. That’s the difference between you and me,” with a triumphant smile, further aggravating their resentment.
Actually, Shoko earned an astonishing amount of money, and the others, with no suitable retort, looked frustrated.
The only one who didn’t seem hurt by Shoko’s words was Sakura, who said, “I can earn enough to support Onii-chan too. After graduating high school, I might focus on becoming a voice actor. What do you think?”
As for me, I shamefully had no legal status or human rights, so I was supported by them. With Kyoka’s family’s help, I moved to a new house in a distant location from my hometown.
I truly have nothing but gratitude for Kyoka’s mother.
So, while being supported by them, I take care of household chores at home. There isn’t much to do even when I’m at home, so that’s all there is to do.
They suggested finding a hobby, but none of them suited my interests. Perhaps watching Shoko play games at home could be considered a hobby. It’s heartwarming to see Shoko, whose expressions are usually minimal, show a bit more emotion when playing games.
So, today as well, I’m watching Shoko play games with her on my lap. When I check the time, it’s already 3:00 in the afternoon. They should be coming back soon, and I need to go shopping for dinner.
“Shoko, I’m going shopping. Wanna come with me?”
“Ugh… What should I do? I want to go with you, but I’m at a good part now.”
“Alright, wait here. I’ll be back soon.”
“No, I’ll go too. I can’t leave you alone; who knows what you’ll do.”
Saying that, Shoko tidied up a bit and held my hand. We left the house together.
Shoko seemed to be in a good mood, holding my hand tightly, looking adorable.
We finished shopping while discussing tonight’s dinner menu. On the way back, we halved the load of groceries and walked back, holding hands. At a railroad crossing, we saw a high school girl walking unsteadily, as if she might collapse at any moment.
Ignoring the lowering crossing gate, she was about to enter the crossing. I instinctively let go of Shoko’s hand and rushed towards her.
I managed to save her at the last moment and pulled her out of the crossing.
“A-Are you okay?”
When I spoke, she glared at me sharply.
“Why did you save me!? I wanted to die!”
Faced with her angrily shouting voice, I didn’t say anything and just gently embraced her. In response, she started crying, wetting my chest with her tears.
Turning towards Shoko, who was looking at us with a puffed-up face, I felt a bit guilty.
“Satoru, are you helping someone again? Isn’t it enough already?”
“…Sorry.”
“It’s not a big deal.”
And thus, I ended up helping another girl again.
I will probably continue to be entangled by my father’s curse in the future, and I might keep rushing to help someone on the verge of death. I have a feeling that this will continue until I die.
Certainly, I won’t be able to escape the curse of my father, and atonement will not end until I die.
…Ah, I want to die soon.

Author’s Note:
Hello, it’s Kanikui.
I think there might be some indigestion, but I’ll conclude the story here for now. Despite saying I would keep it dark, I somehow ended up writing more than just a dark story. Well, everyone likes yandere, so it’s okay, right…?
I apologize for not revealing Misuzu’s and Karen’s pasts. It’s my fault for not coming up with a heavier past than Satoru’s. I was burned out when I wrote Satoru’s past.
With that in mind, I think it will become more and more chaotic if I continue writing, so I’ll end it here.
Thank you for reading this work.
Next up, I’ll be releasing “Speedrun of a Creepy, Fat, Ugly Guy Conquering Three Beautiful Girls,” so please look forward to it. If you like intense emotions from girls, be sure to check it out.
Well then, let’s meet somewhere again.
