After we disbanded as promised, I ended up being with Misuzu. Now, I find myself in her house after leaving Kyoka’s place against my will.
“But really, your mother was surprised, huh?”
“It can’t be helped. After all, she didn’t know that you were alive. I was sad too, but my mom was also sad when she heard that Satoru had died, so I’m glad. …….truly, it’s a relief.”
Misuzu murmured these words as she hugged me, burying her face in my shoulder. It’s a bit embarrassing, but her mother doesn’t seem to mind; she looked at Misuzu with a heartwarming smile.
I was glad to see that her hair, which had lost its luster when I saw her in front of the station that day, had regained some of its luster, and that her originally thin body, which had become even skinnier, seemed to have regained some of its original shape.
I felt guilty for having done so, but I know it won’t do me any good if I reveal it now, so I’ll keep it to myself.
“Is Satoru-kun there?”
“Yes, I am.”
It was Misuzu’s mother-in-law who came in after knocking on the door.
Even though Misuzu’s mother came, she doesn’t seem to want to leave me and keeps hugging me.. I was a little embarrassed, but my mother-in-law didn’t seem to mind, and was looking at Misuzu with a smile on her face.
“Are you staying overnight?”
She asked, and I looked at Misuzu, who silently conveyed her intentions by nodding.
“Please let me bother you. I’m sorry, Step-mother.”
“That’s fine. Satoru-kun, you can come over anytime, and you can stay as long as you want.”
“Thank you very much.”
“And I’ve already prepared dinner for Satoru-kun, so it’s all good. Well then, Satoru-kun, please take care of Misuzu.”
“Yes.”
Saying so, Misuzu’s Step-mother left the room.
“Satoru, tonight, you know right?”
“Yeah.”
“I’m looking forward to spending more time with you since you’re staying over. I want to get to know you better, Satoru.”
She wore a seductive smile, looking intently at me. I mustered the courage to respond and kissed her.
She responded with a bigger smile, seeking more. However, I gently stopped her. If we went further, I might miss the dinner that Misuzu’s Step-mother prepared.
“Why? Don’t stop.”
“I won’t be able to stop if we go any further. Besides, your Step-mother made dinner for us. Let’s wait until tonight.”
“Well, if you say so. But we’re definitely going to do it, okay?”
“I know.”
Saying so, she kissed me again, then gently stood up. I tried to open the door of Misuzu’s room to go downstairs, but
“Oh, by the way, Satoru, have you ever… you know?”
Turning around to face her, I found her smiling. Depending on my answer, I might feel like I’m stuck in this place forever.
……… But if I lie here and she finds out later, she’ll become more crazy, and I don’t want to hide anything from them anymore either.
“…Sorry, I’ve done it before.”
“…Fufu, I see. I see.”
After saying that, she nodded a few times, then whispered to me.
“I’ll dye your memories, Satoru. I’ll dye everything in my color. Be ready, okay?”
With that, she opened the door and went downstairs.
Later…….., I couldn’t recall any conversations with Misuzu’s Step-mother or the taste of the dinner at all.
