When I Brought The Lost Little Girl To Her House, The One Who Came Out Of The Front Door Was The Most Beautiful Girl In The Grade. - Chapter 5
“Alright, then everyone, please be careful during the summer vacation starting tomorrow to avoid any injuries or accidents!”
The homeroom teacher’s final announcement for the first semester came to an end.
Tomorrow, the summer vacation begins. Everyone has been looking forward to it eagerly.
Around me, voices rise with excitement as they express their joy.
“Hey, you wanna go somewhere today?”
I’m happy that Mimura invited me, but this time, I decided not to go.
It’s not just because I find it troublesome. No, it’s definitely not that.
“Nah, I’ll pass.”
“Huh? What’s up with that?”
“Well, I promise to go with you guys next time to the beach or something.”
“If that’s the case, then fine, I guess…”
Mimura reluctantly accepts, but I feel like he’s not entirely convinced.
Well, I thought it would be a bit cruel if I said I wouldn’t even go to the beach next time, so I’ll keep my promise to go together to the beach.

Even though I had a feeling that Mimura wanted to go somewhere with me and knew that it would make his way home longer, he still followed me.
“Well then, I’ll head this way.”
“Ah, see you later, my girlfriend.”
“Who’s your girlfriend? That’s gross.”
In the end, we exchanged the usual kind of banter and parted ways with Mimura.
Man, it’s hot today. The forecast says the highest temperature will reach 30 degrees.
Sweat drips down from my forehead.
“Whose girlfriend, huh?”
Feeling like someone asked from behind, I turned around.
There, standing in summer clothes, is Shirakawa.
I thought it would be bad if she overheard anything, but maybe she just happened to hear something, so I pretend I didn’t think about it.
“Mimura was just saying random stuff, you know. I don’t have a girlfriend, obviously.”
“Ahaha! I see, I see.”
“Don’t laugh… It kinda hurts.”
“Ah… Sorry, sorry.”
Shirakawa bows her head and apologizes, but I try to act like it’s no big deal.
“Hey, are you free now? You’re free, right? You must be!”
“Why are you asking so suddenly?”
What’s with the sudden request? I have a bad feeling about this… But it’s true, I am free, but what does she want to do?
“Can you help me with some shopping? It’s kinda heavy and tough to do alone… Can you?”
“I guess… I mean, I don’t mind.”
“Yay! Thank you!”
Am I just weak-willed? I couldn’t refuse.
With her eyes looking up at me, those big, beautiful eyes, I couldn’t resist.
As I divert my gaze with a sigh, I notice her short-sleeved shirt is wet with sweat, and I catch a glimpse of something black around her chest.
I unconsciously gulp at the sight.
Seemingly aware of my gaze, Shirakawa follows my line of sight and realizes her shirt is see-through.
“Umm, can I go change first before we go?”
“It’s fine as it is, though…”
“Hmm? Did you say something?”
I was tempted to steal another glance, but even though she was smiling, it felt somewhat frightening.
My instincts were telling me to stop.
“No, it’s nothing…”
“Alright then! Let’s go to my place first!”
“Why would we do that?”
I wondered why she suddenly said that and hurriedly asked for a reason. In response, Shirakawa gave me a look as if wondering why I wouldn’t want to go.
After wiping her forehead with a handkerchief, she waved her hand toward herself to create a breeze.
“Well, because I can only change at my place, you know…”
“No, I’ll just stay here.”
“What are you saying! If you stay here waiting in this heat and collapse from heatstroke, what will I do?”
She grabbed my arm and led me to her house.
