When I Brought The Lost Little Girl To Her House, The One Who Came Out Of The Front Door Was The Most Beautiful Girl In The Grade. - Chapter 31
“Sorry, sorry! I’m late~”
Ayano, panting as if she had run, is taking off her shoes from the shoe cabinet.
“Did you run here?”
“Yeah! I didn’t want to be late and cause trouble.”
“It’s not a big deal, though…”
“Never mind, never mind!”
“Shall we head back?” Ayano says, sticking close to my back.
For some reason, it feels a bit awkward. I wonder why our conversations don’t flow so easily.
As I ponder the next topic, my mind feels like it’s about to go blank.
“Did your basketball team win today?”
“Oh, yeah. With Shirasaka and the others, we usually win.”
“That’s not enough! Yuusei-kun has to do his best too.”
“Well, but…”
“Oh! But, if we end up as opponents, I won’t go easy on you!”
“But Ayano-san, you’re not even in the basketball team.”
“T-That’s true, but… I mean, it’s about the sentiment!”
I reply to Ayano with a “I see” and the conversation falls silent again. I later regret feeling like I might have messed up my response.
“Oh, by the way, how about we take a picture together tomorrow?”
“Huh? …Huh?!”
“Well, you don’t have to be that surprised.”
“N-No, I have every right to be surprised!”
I thought, why is she suddenly bringing this up? A photo? Well, I guess, of course I’d be surprised if Ayano herself said it.
“But you were saying that earlier, that you wanted to take a picture with me the most.”
“Huh? Me?”
“Don’t tell me you’re saying it’s a lie?”
“No! It’s not a lie! I’d even take one right now if I could… I mean, let’s just forget what I just said.”
“Hehe! I won’t let you off the hook!”
She says, grinning at me. I’m so embarrassed that I wish I could just disappear.
“H-How about we take it right now?”
“Huh?!”
“Because, why not?”
“I’m just happy I wanted to take a picture, but…”
“Alright then! Let’s do it at the park over there!”
Saying that, Ayano runs to the park, her silky hair fluttering in the breeze.
I follow suit, jogging to catch up with her.
“Hmm, what should I do?”
Saying that, she holds her smartphone and decides on the angle to take the photo. She’s talking about effects and stamps and things that I have absolutely no idea about.
“Okay, I’ll take it.”
“U-Understood.”
“Oh, it’s not capturing, come a little closer.”
“Li-Like this?”
“Ah, a bit more! Just like this!”
She grabs my arm and pulls me closer.
In that moment, a very pleasant scent wafts over. Unconsciously, it’s the kind of scent that makes you want to keep smelling it.
Afterward, something soft presses against my arm.
I look down at my arm, and it’s clearly her chest, her hills.
The soft thing was Ayano’s ample bosom.
My face turns red in an instant, and I’m torn between whether I should say something or simply enjoy this sensation, all the while feeling conflicted in my mind.
“I’ll take it now.”
A shutter sound clicks, and the photo captures Ayano and me.
I never thought we’d actually manage to take a picture.
“I was thinking about adding effects and stuff, but I just did a slight touch-up for a smaller face effect.”
“I have no idea about any of that, so I don’t understand what you’re saying.”
“Well, in simple terms, it means the face got a bit smaller!”
I see, that’s something even I can understand.
While I might need a smaller face effect, I thought Ayano didn’t need it at all.
“Uh, thank you for the detailed explanation.”
“Hey, why are you using polite language?”
“Well, um, I just thought you are amazing, Ayano-san”
“Huh? What about? I think this is pretty normal.”
That’s not what I meant. I was just impressed that the soft sensation of her chest from earlier still lingers on my arm.
I say this in my mind.
“Well, it’s hard to say, but…”
“Huh? What, are you scared or something?”
“Um, well… I’ve been feeling a really soft sensation on my arm since a while ago.”
“Huh? On your arm?”
Ayano looks down, apparently realizing just now that her chest is pressed tightly against my arm.
Her face turns red all of a sudden, and she becomes as red as an apple.
“S-S-Sorry! I-I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable or anything!”
“I-I-It’s not… It’s not your fault! Don’t apologize, Yuusei-kun!”
“Um, well, I think most guys wouldn’t really feel uncomfortable. For the most part, they’d be wrapped up in happiness and excitement.”
“Huh? Is that so?”
Thank you, God, Buddha, and Mr. Mimura. From the moment this all started, even before taking the picture, I’ve been thankful for Mr. Mimura.
“Well then, I’ll go this way! See you again tomorrow, Yuusei-kun!”
“Yeah, bye.”
Saying that, I wave back at Ayano, who is waving her hand widely.
