When I brought my childhood friend back home after a long time, she suddenly started undressing and said, "I want you to hold me..." - Chapter 3
10:20 A.M.
Room 401, In the General building of the University of Tokyo.
“Yo, Sho!”
“…Huh?”
The person who smacked me on the head was Tatsuya Suzuki, an old friend from junior high school.
His appearance is above average.
He dyed his hair dark blonde when he debuted in the university and compared to the high school uniform his current attire is flashy.
And today he is wearing damaged jeans and a leather jacket, with a pendant hanging around his neck. It seems to have been bought in a bargain sale.
It wouldn’t be strange if someone called him a debt collector or a delinquent, but with his personality, it felt like something out of ordinary.
Anyway, he is my best friend, an old friend, and a male friend with whom I have been close with. Actually, I don’t have many friends to begin with.
“…Don’t hit me on the head.”
“What are you talking about? Haha we do it all the time.”
“It’s not good, seriously. I will go bald at this rate.”
“No way! As a proud science student, do you have any evidence for your reasoning?”
“I wonder if it’s because of my grandfather…?”
“You idiot, that data is inaccurate.”
And, he smacked me on my head again.
In case you are wondering why I said it’s because of my grandfather? My family has a history of baldness in the later years of life, and I personally believe that even my now bushy head will eventually go bald. That’s why I want to work harder.
‘This guy really doesn’t know how to hold back, damn it hurts!’
“Then why is your hair gray…?”
“Haha, it’s genetic!”
“Idiot, isn’t that the same thing?”
“Ugh… I hate people with good intuition.”
“And what about that?”
“I’m sorry.”
And he smacked me on my head one more time.
Ugh, I said stupidly without thinking of the consequences. Currently I was having a terrible headache after the s-x yesterday.
‘Why am I acting like a girl all of a sudden? Come to think of it, there was a manga like that recently.’
“By the way… are you not feeling well?”
“I’m sleep deprived.”
“Haha, you are so stupid, what we’re you doing all night? You went home early as well, and your part time job is on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday… and yesterday was Thursday.”
“It’s nothing.”
I silently denied his accusations.
“Oh, no way… !”
“I’m saying it’s different.”
“By any chance, you changed your part time job?”
“Huh?”
“Well that was to be expected, you are kind after all, so you changed your part time job because some juniors or seniors might be annoying you.”
I don’t really know what he’s talking about, but inwardly I was relieved.
The other day, when I was walking with Aoi, I was mistaken for a high-school student! I was thinking on what basis did they even decide that. Just what was going through their mind, I am a fellow student at this University, even though there are certain parts in which I am weak, I can certainly score well in exams.
They are what we call an idiot.
Well, for the time being the suspicion was lifted from my shoulders or else I would be having a hard time to come up with some excuses, so I nodded on his response.
“I knew it!”
“What are you so happy about?”
“I’m just glad that my best friend was able to escape from that rotten place.”
“… Wait, why does it look like you want another treat for today’s lunch?”
“Haha… I wonder what you are talking about.”
He averted his gaze and lowered his head as I hit right on point. I also glared at him slightly as it was nearly a daily occurrence. His current situation was like that of a student who came to see his end exams results and found out he scored really bad grades.
“Haah… so what happened? I will listen to what you have to say today.”
“Really? Is it really okay?”
“Yeah, it’s fine.”
“Well, after I left for my home….. ”
And so for the next 10 minutes until the next lecture started. I listened to this guy’s demise.
The topic was, none other than the pachinko machine.
He had some money left from his part-time job, so he decided to play some games on the pachinko machine in the arcade, but because of the desire to win even though he was repeatedly losing he didn’t give up and ended up losing everything last night.
Besides, he’s going to live on the 1,000 Yen he has left for this month.
“Seriously, well that’s fine. I’ll buy you lunch today.”
“Really?”
“By the way, it’s just white rice and miso soup.”
“Ugh.”
“Don’t be stupid. Everything else is just too expensive. I don’t have that much money either.”
“Tsk, even though you earn so much from your tutoring job, you are acting like that.”
“Hey, the pay isn’t much. I am studying in this University because of the scholarship… and if you will complain again, I won’t even pay for what I was going to buy for you.”
“I-I’m really really sorry.”
“Then don’t complain about it.”
“I understand, sir.”
He is really pathetic, but he is not a bad guy by nature. But sometimes, I doubt his carefree personality will bring him trouble in future.
Suddenly a thought came in my mind, which was visible on my face.
“Is there anything wrong Sho?”
“I think I’m wasting 80 yen.”
“Isn’t that cheap enough!”
“I won’t buy you lunch.”
“Please don’t do that, I will die at this rate from hunger.”
“Haha, It’s none of my concern.”
I sighed after seeing him in such a state.
Until now, I had lived a life often driven by self-loathing, and I was about to be crushed by the weight of it.
‘I did it with a woman I’m not even dating… What kind of face should I make when I meet her next time?’
