“Wow, it’s a nice room.”

“Yeah, it is indeed good.”

“Thank you for the compliments. From the wide window of this room, you can see the view of the mountains from the porch which is spectacular. So if it is to your liking, you can take a look at it later.

“Yes, thank you for the suggestion.”

“I’ll leave your luggage here. Please call the front desk at extension number 8. We also have a wake-up call service, so please do not hesitate to call us. Well, we’ll leave it to you. Enjoy your stay here.

“Good luck on the trip.”

One of the inn-keepers bowed deeply and left our room, whereas the other one was grinning from ear to ear while looking at me.

If my hunch is right, then the reason for the expression on her face is because she suggested to us about the mixed bathing, and Aoi was obviously beet red after knowing it.

I really wanted to tell her that we were not a couple and ‘friends’ with some unexpected misunderstanding, keeping secret about the latter part though, so Aoi wouldn’t get flustered from time to time, but who am I joking with? I obviously love that expression of hers.

But well, on the contrary.

That is not the purpose of this trip. We came here to finally clear off the strange relationship between us, to get to know each other better, and to start a pure relationship.

Well, Aoi was always a bit ahead of her all the time. I’m not complaining because I believe that she has made a good choice in her own way.

For the time being, let’s stop thinking about it for the time being and decide what to do for the trip.

‘But, mixed bathing and footbath huh. To be honest, I really want to go to the footbath together. As for the mixed bathing, I wonder if it’s too much… But if she agrees to go in together, then I will wholeheartedly agree.’

“For now, what should we do?”

When I asked her while she was fumbling around her backpack, she stopped whatever she was doing and asked me back the same thing.

“Where do you want to go, Sho?”

I did say that I will decide on something, but I didn’t really plan anything prior as I thought Aoi would be the one who would have already taken care of it.

Even when we were on our way here, I was driving the car, so I couldn’t really avert my attention to some other thing that would have been dangerous.

And besides, I had no prior knowledge of this area’s tourist places, and I didn’t pay any attention when we stopped at a few places during our journey to the inn.

And now I regret neglecting that topic… I should have been more careful about it, if things were going to turn out like this.

It also feels kinda weird to doze around in a room when we come on a trip.

I haven’t really been out to many places since I entered college, and being locked up in a room when the outer atmosphere is so refreshing, staying indoors is indeed weird.

“… Well, then, let’s go to the footbath.”

“Yeah, that’s right… Let’s go then.”

The two of us decided to go outside to take a look at other popular spots to enjoy on our trip.

“I think it would be better not to go out empty handed, let’s take some important stuff with us.”

Looking sideways at Aoi, she nodded repeatedly. I decided to organize my backpack and while I was arranging it, something unexpected came out of it.

“Wha—?!!”

I was a little surprised and let out a sudden squeak

“What’s wrong?”

When Aoi heard the sudden loud voice from my side, she turned around to check if something was wrong… And then at that moment, ‘it’ was casually falling.

“Ehh?”

“Oh no.”

What came out of my backpack was a lacy red underwear, which clearly didn’t belong to me. Appearance wise it had flower patterns and was expensive looking.

“Hey, why is that thing in your backpack?”

“I don’t know.”

I flatly denied her accusations but she was still looking at me with accusing eyes, as if she caught me red handed stealing her undies.

‘How come it’s in here, I didn’t even steal it in the first place, wait… Is that what I think it is?’

“… I didn’t put it in my backpack, it’s not my fault!”

“Pervert.”

“I swear I didn’t do it.”

“Noisy pervert.”

Needless to say, Aoi didn’t talk to me for a few hours. You all might be wondering how her panties are in my backpack, that is something we will find out in the next chapter.
