We are pretending....right? - Chapter 5- Conditions for dating~1!
CHAPTER- 5
It was three in the noon when Sumire along with Sou left the school side by side. No one noticed this unusual couple and saved Sumire from being subjected to any further gossip.
She was muddled about Sou’s mood after she declared in front of the whole class that she was dating him, but when he came to pick her up her heart lightened a bit.
But that doesn’t change the fact that outside school she was slightly nervous to talk to him. Especially after what he said back in the classroom when he came to pick her up.
‘Boyfriend’s duty eh…’
Sumire’s lips twitched as she glanced at him to see whether he was even a bit embarrassed by the situation at all, but as always he seemed aloof and uncaring. It made her feel she was overthinking things a lot.
“About morning…can I assume you accepted my proposal for the fake relationship?”
Sumire’s feet halted for a second but soon she continued walking at her usual pace. Hearing him asking so suddenly made her flustered a bit but not like after selfishly calling him her boyfriend, she would reject his proposal.
“Yes, but I want to make some points clear before we start this relationship.”
Sou chuckled a bit before he spoke in a sarcastic tone, “Why does it feel we are following the route of some contractual marriage?”
Sumire glared at him for such a comment when she was just looking out to make this relationship despite being fake, a healthy one.
“Then find someone else who doesn’t have so many tantrums! Hmph!”
Sumire intentionally let out her displeasure to let him know that she was not here to be teased all the time. But it seemed her anger was again treated like a sign of further bullying.
“So you accept that you throw tantrums?”
This time her feet came to a longer halt as she narrowed her gaze until it was drawn to a line with her thin brows shadowing over.
Sou barely held his chuckle before he called out for her in defeat.
“Okay, no more jokes. Come, let’s talk in there.”
Sumire turned her head in the direction where he was gesturing and found a small yet cozy café on her left. Now she realized that she actually was following Sou without even thinking at all.
‘The hell with me…’
Reprimanding herself Sumire walked in the place along with the boy as she felt herself refreshed with the cold breeze of the AC. It was pretty much hot and humid around June which made her sweat a lot so this small break was more than welcome.
“You sit there. I will bring something for us.”
Sou gestured toward the seat near the corner before he went toward the counter. Sumire didn’t think much and while walking to the table texted her brother that she would be late.
Despite knowing well that he would be returning later than her, probably during dinner time, she just has a habit to let him know, in case her brother might get worried. Sumire had a natural tendency to live like a NEET after school which makes her family member quite shocked whenever she goes out.
‘This place is nice. I should bring Akari and- forget about that idiot…”
Sumire muttered under her breath but soon she frowned as she recalled the incident of today’s morning. Taking apart the fact that she was not interested or dating Kabura, Sumire in general doesn’t like people who act possessively toward her. Like they own her.
If it’s her family member or someone too close to her sister like Akari then they are welcome but Kabura was not someone she could let herself be treated in that manner despite their long friendship.
“You seem troubled about something.”
Lifting her gaze she was meted with a pair of hazelnut eyes which were hazy enough to make her wonder whether that was his real eyes or he was using contacts.
Sumire was bubbling up with her frustration and was about to start complaining about Kabura but as soon her eyes landed on the drinks in front she cooled down before a blooming smile spread on her lips.
“Pineapple Mojito! I love it!”
There were sparkles in her eyes when Sumire saw the drinks Sou placing on the table. She didn’t bat an eye at what he was drinking as she instantly took the drink and sipped through the straw.
“Mmmm! It’s so….”
“..amazing?”
Sou helped the excited girl to fill her words upon which she nodded in enthusiasm and took another sip. Her expression further melted with each small sip as Sou saw an adorable dimple forming along with a smile on her left cheek as she savored the drink.
Sou shook his head as he sipped on lime mojito as they silently sat there for more than five minutes before Sumire got done with her drink.
“Can we talk about your conditions now?”
Sumire blushed slightly as she realized how childish she becomes when something favorite of hers unexpectedly arrives in front.
Straightening her back she looked at Sou with a serious expression as she started the details she has thought last night in case she come to somehow accept his offer.
“It’s already obvious but still I would like to clarify that kissing or getting intimate in closed four walls is completely forbidden.”
“That’s not unacceptable.”
“Good, then the- eh?”
