The Reincarnated Minister's Second Daughter Wants To Live A Happy Life - Chapter 18
Chapter 18
That night, Camille returned with her two hands full of paper bags. One of them was her clothes that got soaked earlier in the sea lion show. The others were some stuffed toys the two guys won for her and food. It is impossible to forget food when she is out without Daisy.
When Daisy saw that she was not wearing her clothes earlier in the morning, she raised her eyebrows.
“Why did you have a change of clothes?”
“Oh? I got wet earlier.”
“Wet?”
“Mm-hmm.”
Camille nodded her head as she proceeded to take off her jacket.
Daisy looked at the unfamiliar jacket she had taken off. It was a little bit bigger than Camille’s body, and its color was black, which is not totally Camille’s style. Daisy doubted that something unexplainable had happened between Camille and the two guys.
Of course, whatever Daisy was thinking and imagining now, she decided to stay silent about them in case she got it wrong and humiliated herself.
“Whose jacket is that?”
“This? It’s Nathan’s.”
“And why do you have his jacket?”
This time, Daisy completely abandoned what she was doing and turned her chair, so she was facing Camille.
Camille sat on her bed and looked at Daisy innocently. Recalling how she was thrilled during the day while playing with the two guys, her face brightened up. She then opened her mouth to tell Daisy what transpired during the time she spent with Nathan and Marco.
“At first, we didn’t know where to go. It was funny because Nathan and Marco actually brought me to the Halloween escape house! But I scolded the two of them. Finally, we went to the nearby aquarium. You know how I loved watching underwater creatures, right? Oh, and there happened to be a sea lion show earlier, so we went there. Nathan found us seats in front, but it turned out to be a bad idea. In the middle of the show, the sea lion flicked the water, so it splashed out of the pool and soaked us three. So, we had no choice but to go and get a change of clothes. It’s a pity that we didn’t get to watch the whole show. The sea lion was adorable! I wish you had seen that!”
And then, Camille pouted.
With her long narration, Daisy couldn’t help but smile. Her Camille is really enjoying her life as a college student – though a little bit childish.
Daisy turned around and faced her laptop again. She was currently looking for something to read since she had finished the history book she borrowed from the library. She found out that their school had an e-library, so she could browse for the books available in there without searching for them herself.
“Did you enjoy your day?”
Daisy was also a bit sad that she couldn’t spend the day with Camille. Still, seeing her happy, she was also delighted.
“Of course! I wish you had seen how those two guys looked cute! Hehe~”
“That’s good. Then how about going out tomorrow to make up for today?”
“Tomorrow?”
“Hmm.”
Camille appeared to be thinking about it for a minute before readily agreeing. She truly loves spending time with Daisy.
As she thought of how they should spend tomorrow, Camille was reminded of something. She grabbed two paper bags and gave them to Daisy.
“Chicken?”
“No, it’s a dress and… yes, chicken. Hehe~”
“You bought clothes for me? I still have a lot to wear, though.”
“No, you will wear it tomorrow.”
“Haa….”
Daisy shook her head and took out the dress. It was undeniably pretty with Camille’s sense of fashion. Daisy thanked her. After that, they ate dinner together.
“What about your day with Caspian? Is it good?”
“Huh? What do you mean ‘good’?”
Suddenly, Camille asked Daisy about Caspian during their dinner. Daisy almost choked on her food. Fortunately, she didn’t and only coughed.
“What else? You spent the day with a handsome guy!”
“You have a rich imagination. Didn’t you spend the day with two good-looking guys as well?”
“Ey, they can’t even hold a candle to Caspian. And besides, Caspian have brains that they don’t have. Caspian is obviously miles different from them!”
“Uh….”
“Tell me, tell me!”
“I’m trying to say that we aren’t alone. Gabriel was with us the whole time.”
“No, I am not interested in him. I am only interested in Caspian.”
“…”
Daisy was speechless. So, you decided to only focus on Caspian?
When Camille was like this, Daisy knew she liked that person. Now, Camille was showing keen interest in Caspian, which only means she likes him.
Upon arriving at that understanding, Daisy realized that she and Camille liked the same person.
“Do you like Caspian?”
Her voice sounded somewhat down and hopeless.
Unaware of her thoughts, Camille answered with a smile.
“Of course, ah! Who wouldn’t like an intelligent person like him! Actually, I am more inclined toward his intelligence rather than his looks. It is difficult to find a person who is both handsome and intelligent. That’s one in a million!”
Didn’t know why, but Daisy sighed in relief. It registered to her that Camille only admired Caspian’s intelligence and not that kind of romantic feelings.
Daisy went back to eating with ease.
Until now, their roommates had yet to arrive. Not like they were waiting for them.
The next day, they went out as promised and spent the day as they saw fit. When the day ended, they went back to their dormitory. They still have classes tomorrow, so it is essential to have a good night’s sleep.

Three days later, Daisy’s class was learning about the ancient techniques in painting. Unlike the first day he taught their class, Mr. Isaac Hughes was exceptionally kind and amiable.
“Since this would be your first output, I will give you an easier task.”
Mr. Isaac went to the board and wrote ‘ancient’ with his chalk. After writing, he looked around the class. Each of the students had a canvas in front of them.
“With this word here written on the board, paint something regarding this. I have already asked you to take pictures of what you think about the ancient. Now, you are to draw something related to ancient times – something that, when you look at it, you’ll immediately think, ‘Oh, this is an old item!’ Now, get on drawing.”
Mr. Isaac was also the same professor who asked Daisy, Caspian, and Gabriel to make a sample sports feature article.
That time when Mr. Isaac saw their assignments, he was stumped with words and immediately thought he had found new talents. He unintentionally let out his eager side and happily asked them to the faculty room.
Now that he realized he had somehow let the students know he could actually be kind, he wanted to get back his title as ‘one of the terror professors.’
Mr. Isaac gazes in Caspian and Daisy’s direction. This time, they were sitting beside each other. Caspian was sitting on Daisy’s left.
Caspian was like the winter in summer, and Daisy was like the autumn in winter. They completely complemented each other. When the two merged, it wasn’t too cold or hot – it was in the middle.
Their figures are especially eye-catching with their pretty faces. Anyone would think the same as Mr. Isaac. He was hoping for these two to develop into something more than friends. Though that would be too far from now.
The sound of pencil scratching on the canvas echoed in the silent classroom. Everyone’s breathing could even be heard inside.
Daisy held the pencil in her hand. She actually didn’t know what to draw. Even though she came from that time, she couldn’t think of anything. It was as if her mind was blank for a moment.
She thought of her distant past. There was her family, her friends, and… her husband. She naturally thought of something about her husband that she didn’t see. It was such a pity that she had to die even before she could peer at his face.
There were rumors that the Royal Guards Captain had a face as if he was sculpted by the God himself. Of course, to see is to believe.
Daisy immediately gripped her pencil and started outlining on her canvas. It was something that reminded her of her supposed husband.
Beside her, Caspian didn’t have to think of what to draw. When Mr. Isaac started talking, he knew it would be something like this, judging from their previous assignment.
He went back to that day, and what he could first think of was his supposed wife. She had a stunning appearance, but the most striking about her was the red blood trickling down her body. It was cold and had the color of the reddest red. How could he even forget such a scene? Even in the Netherworld, it was haunting him like a ghost.
No one knows how much he was tormented by them. Even the King of the Netherworld laughed at him.
[You want to search for your wife?]
[Is she here?]
[She doesn’t have any place but to go here.]
[I need to meet her.]
[But will I let you? Hahaha!]
The King of the Netherworld laughed at him and drifted away.
