The Reincarnated Minister's Second Daughter Wants To Live A Happy Life - Chapter 1
Chapter 1
“Are your uniforms and things prepared for your graduation tomorrow?”
“It’s all good, Mom. Why do you look more nervous than me?”
“That’s because our only daughter is about to graduate high school. You’ll be finally in college!”
Daisy helplessly hugged her emotional mother in a warm embrace.
Years quickly passed, and she was already graduating from high school. Over the years, she had made friends – some stayed, and some left her. The happiest thing was,
“Daisy! We’re finally graduating! Ah, I can’t believe I managed to live my high school years!”
Camille Starks, her childhood friend, stayed by her side no matter what.
Camille also hugged her with an excited smile, yelling that she had finally survived high school. Daisy laughed at her best friend.
“Auntie, I’m finally graduating high school!”
“You two did well. Do you want me to cook you something? Chicken?”
“Mom, you don’t need to–”
“Thank you, auntie!”
Daisy burst into laughter as her best friend shamelessly asked her mother for some food.
Since they grew up together when they were five, Camille considered Daisy’s mother her second mother and their house her second house. It felt like they were sisters by blood. Often, people told them that they might switch faces if they were always together.
Nevertheless, they stuck together like glue and were sturdier than any rock.
“You and your gluttony.”
“It’s not like this was the first time aunt asked me what I want to eat, haha!”
Daisy shook her head as she couldn’t do anything to her best friend.
“How about we go out today after eating? Go shopping? What do you think?”
“Graduation is tomorrow. We might meet some mishaps on the road.”
“Are you an old woman? Always relying on those horoscopes.”
Camille removed her arm around Daisy’s shoulder and slumped down on the sofa while waiting for the chicken. Daisy just shook her head and sat down next to her. She was also naturally waiting for the chicken.
Not long after, her mother brought the chicken to the living room while the two girls were playing against each other.
“Hey! Attack the enemy, not me! Why are you pointing your gun at me!”
“You’re in front of me.”
“Then move! We will get defeated at this rate!”
Camille’s phone screen turned red in an instant. Her scream could be heard from miles away.
“Ah! Defeated! You’re terrible at playing online games, Daisy.”
She shook her head at Daisy and chomped down on the chicken as she quietly thanked Daisy’s mother for bringing the snack.
Daisy’s mother just laughed at them and set down two bottles of soda. She reminded them not to play too much. Daisy’s mother went out and let the two girls do their thing. She planned to let it go since tomorrow would be their graduation.
“What course are you planning to apply for?” Camille asked, her mouth stuffed with a chicken leg.
“Fine Arts,” Daisy quietly answered as she scrolled down the university’s homepage.
She showed her phone screen to Camille.
“Hurley College Institute? You will be studying there?”
“Yeah. It was the only college institute offering Fine Arts near here.”
“I see. But what will be your major in Fine Arts? Many said that Fine Arts was never a good course.”
“Photographers earn enough for their family.”
“Oh, you’re right.”
Camille nodded her head with a defeated expression on her face. She went back to eat and watched Daisy scroll on her phone.
She had always thought that this best friend of hers was out of reach. Ever since they met, Daisy was never the kind of person to act childish. She was more like a lady than a five-year-old little girl.
Camille thought Daisy had always acted and thought not suited for her age. Sometimes, she wonders if she was secretly from the future.
Camille immediately shook her head and pushed that thought. Being reborn or from the future is nothing but an unfound hypothesis.
“What strange thoughts are you having again?”
“Huh? Me? No, nothing!”
“You’re shaking your head again.”
Daisy looked at her best friend with a smirk. Her eyes looked at her as if telling Camille, ‘You can’t hide anything from me.’
“Say it.”
Camille licked her hands and wiped her lips afterward. She carefully opened her mouth and asked her.
“Daisy, perhaps, were you… from the past?”
“Huh? What are you saying?”
Daisy furrowed her eyebrows with her best friend’s nonsense.
Camille heaved a sigh of relief and patted her chest.
“Thank goodness you’re not.”
“Do you want to ask me what you were in your past life?”
There was a glint of playfulness in Daisy’s eyes.
“What am I?” Camille was looking at her with anticipation.
Daisy couldn’t help but smirk before saying, “You were… a grasshopper.”
Camille’s face flushed red when she realized her best friend was teasing her. She smacked Daisy with a chicken bone. Daisy couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Daisy’s mother was happy to see her daughter laughing when she saw such a scene. Her heart felt warm.

The next day, it was their graduation day.
Students and their parents were all standing as the ceremony started. Visitors sat above the stage, along with the students who excelled in their studies.
The principal stood before the podium and greeted everyone present inside the hall.
“I am honored to have you all here at our 69th Graduation Day. I want to extend my gratitude to all the students who did their best during their years of studying and are here to receive their due award. I would also like to extend my thanks to all the parents here to see their children graduate. I hope you all have a wonderful path ahead. Thank you.”
A round of applause exploded inside the hall. After the principal finished his congratulatory speech, a teacher went to the podium and started his opening remarks. What was next was the giving of awards. Before that, he called for the most excellent batch of students.
A tall boy stood on the stage and carried a majestic aura. With his graduation cap and gown, he is a handsome boy in his teens. His eyes scanned the surroundings.
Their eyes met midair when his eyes fell on Daisy’s sitting figure. He paused for a moment before proceeding with his prepared speech.
“Hello, fellow students. We are here at the crossroads of our lives. No matter what we face in the future, let’s battle it head-on and don’t give up easily. Giving up easily means that we are weak. We must remind ourselves that we aren’t weak – we are strong ourselves. Thank you.”
Another round of applause echoed throughout the hall.
Below the stage, Daisy was at a loss. When she happened to have eye contact with the most excellent student in their grade, she suddenly froze in her seat. Her heart started to beat wildly inside her chest.
She couldn’t understand if it was because that boy was handsome or just because she was nervous. With the loud thumps of her heart inside her chest, Camille saw that there was something strange about her.
Camille patted her hand to get her attention. Daisy turned her head towards her.
“Huh? What is it?”
“You looked like you ate something bad just now. Did something happen?”
“Uh.. no….”
Daisy shook her head and looked down. She also had no idea what was wrong with her just now.
Camille was worried for her friend. Instead of saying something, she tightly held Daisy’s hand to comfort her with what she might be feeling right now.
Daisy calmed herself down and took a deep breath. She was suddenly curious. She turned towards Camille again to ask a question.
“Hey, who was that one who delivered the speech just now?”
Her question made Camille dumbfounded.
“You didn’t know?”
“Yeah, I didn’t know.”
“Wow, girl, how did you even survive high school without knowing him!”
“So, who is he?”
“That’s Caspian Nixon, Class A’s number 1. Surely, you must have heard of him even once.”
“Ah, I see.”
“…”
Camille was speechless by her best friend’s reaction. She wanted to shout at her, ‘How can you not know of the most handsome in our grade!’ but she held back and accepted that her best friend wasn’t that inclined to handsome men.
‘My dear friend, no woman hates a handsome man.’
Camille could do nothing but shake her head again. She liked her friend’s innocence at times, but not knowing about their grade’s most handsome is just… very illegal. She sighed once again.
While Camille was busy thinking about how her friend was innocent, Daisy was engrossed in thinking about Caspian Nixon.
She had never seen him before. Was it because of her ignorance? But that seems to be the exact answer to her question.
Daisy sneaked a glance towards the boy above the stage. He was indeed stunning. She could tell even with the distance between them.
The question, ‘Would he be as good-looking as him?’ suddenly flashed in her mind.
