Chapter 17: The Max-Level Introvert Reaches New Heights

We were transported to the dungeon’s deepest floor with my skill, Teleportation. Just as reported, we were greeted with the sight of Orichalcum Slimes as far as our eyes could see. Of course, there were no other explorers in sight. Nishizakura Dungeon wasn’t an easy dungeon by any means. It would take a considerable amount of time to get to the deepest floor. Even though the explorers that I had seen at the entrance were all quite skilled, but it would take them a while before they could reach the fifty floor. 

“Alright. This is it, I guess.”

I let Shiori’s hand go and cracked the bones in my hands. Orichalcum Slimes had the tendency to run away and with their exceptionally high defense, I had to keep the battle short.

“Hm? What’s wrong, Shiori? Aren’t you going to fight?”

I tilted my head to the side upon seeing Shiori just standing there next to me. 

“Yes… I was just surprised because Ren-kun suddenly grabbed my hand and teleported me here so nonchalantly like that.”

“Ah, right. I didn’t tell you yet, huh?”

I returned my attention to the Orichalcum Slimes and grinned wickedly. 

“I acquired a new skill recently. It’s called ‘Teleportation’.”

Shiori blinked her eyes in surprise and I used Teleportation once more to instantly move behind a group of Orichalcum Slimes. And then…

I chanted and a large magic circle appeared around me.

In the next instant, a massive explosion erupted within the magic circle. The power of the explosion was so immense, as if it could destroy the whole dungeon, but of course, the explosion only damaged the monsters. Within seconds, all of the Orichalcum Slimes within the area of effect were rendered motionless. 

“Alright then. That should do it.”

I had pretty much defeated all of the Orichalcum Slimes in this area. Waiting for them to respawn would waste too much time. It would be better if I start looking for another Orichalcum Slimes on another floor. I could check the loot by opening the status screen, but with other explorers on their way down, time was of the essence. I mustn’t dilly-dally for too long.

I called out to her, but Shiori just stood there, staring at the ground blankly. 

“Ren-kun… You’re too amazing… Aren’t Orichalcum Slimes supposed to be immune to magic?”

On the other hand, their physical defense point was on a lower side. Normal explorers would have a slightly better chance at defeating it with a sword or a hammer. Using physical damage rather than magic damage to defeat Orichalcum Slimes was common knowledge that could be found on the internet. However, for someone like me, who had maxed out all my status, a magic defense of 90.000 was hardly a challenge. 

I explained it all to Shiori and now, she started staring at me in wonder.

Shiori said as she jumped at me again. Of course, she also deliberately pressed her boobs against me without any hesitation.

Shiori said so while smiling so innocently that I couldn’t help but to smile at her.

For the first time in a long while, I finally smiled from the bottom of my heart.

Thanks to the mass outbreak of Orichalcum Slimes, I was one step closer to gathering all the required materials. However, the most important material still remained unknown to me. Well, still, I was one step closer to crafting this incredible weapon thanks to the Orichalcum Slimes. Now then. I had finished checking all the things I needed to check. I had checked the new skill I just acquired too, so it was time to head home. It was already past 10 PM and I was starting to feel sleepy.
