The Whispers of a Yandere - Chapter 45, Echoes Of The Forgotten! 3
Be warned! Detailed Gore Ahead!
—
Sora, though nervous, nervously looked inside the bag.
“…Knife?” He whispered, as soon as Kato heard the word, his face turned pale.
“WAIT!” he yelled as he jumped towards Kenji, but before he could reach him…
“Heh!” Kenji hastily shoved his hand into the bag and moved his body aside swiftly.
Kato, being unable to stop in time, stumbled forward and crashed into Sora, sending both of them tumbling to the floor.
Sora, his eyes wide in shock, let out a small yelp, feeling the weight of his father press onto his small frame.
Before Kato could regain his senses, Kenji’s twisted laugh filled the room.
“Too slow~”
In one swift motion, Kenji lunged towards Kato with the knife.
The blade plunged deep into Kato’s shoulder, “AGHHGK!!”
The force of the impact set him back and yet, even with the unimaginable pain washing through his body, Kato shielded Sora.
Blood spurted from the wound, coloring the floor—and also Sora’s face.
Sora’s heart raced in primal fear, his small body trembling underneath his wounded father.
“Kato!” Hana’s scream echoed from behind, panic and disbelief plastered onto her face.
She had gone upstairs to get some stuff, but hearing the scream and laughter, she raced back.
Kato grunted, “Stay back!”
He fought against the overwhelming pain, trying his best to push himself back up. Blood dripped steadily from the wound as it fell onto Sora’s face.
Kenji, still behind him, forced the blade out of his wound, earning another groan of pain.
His eyes now directed at Hana, as if he were a predator looking at his new prey.
Hana’s body trembled, but she couldn’t leave her husband and child, “Stop, stop, stop!”
“Hahaha, stop? No, never. Today, you guys die, but don’t worry, your son will live. Even after you guys die, my anger will not be satisfied, so I will need a punching bag, no?” Kenji spat, every word coated with venom
Kato gritted his teeth, struggling to stay conscious with his rapid bleeding.
Sora, still trapped, could feel the warm blood running down his face, his mind frozen in fear as Kenji’s words filled the room.
Kenji raised the knife again, “You know what happened, how Kato got everything because he was the perfect child! I was just the black sheep!”
Kato, finally managing to stir up the last semblance of his strength, stood up, though wobbling.
“..Kenji… This isn’t…” before Hana could finish, Kenji interrupted.
“The way? Yeah, shut the fuck up. I don’t care! If I don’t get anything, neither will anyone!” Kenji’s voice reeked of hatred and jealousy.
“ *huff* *huff* All this time… I thought you were just immature, but… it seems I was wrong. You’re…*huff* Just a sick sociopath,”
Kenji’s eyes narrowed dangerously at Kato’s words, ”Sick?” His voice was barely audible.
Before Kato or Hana could say anything else, he lunged at Hana.
“HANA, MOVE!” Kato screamed at the top of his lungs.
Fear overtook Hana, making her unable to doge, “Kat-Agkh” The knife plunged into her neck, her blood splattering everywhere and covering Kenji with it.
Hana’s body fell, slowly choking on her blood as Kenji took out the knife.
He wasn’t done yet, as soon as he took out the knife, he directed his gaze towards Kato, who had frozen as reality still hadn’t caught up to him.
Kenji raised the knife and plunged it into her stomach this time.
“GKAGGHH!!” With her injured vocal cords, Hana couldn’t even scream properly as she continued to choke.
“No, no, no, no, no, no, please, no, no!” Kato kept repeating the words like a broken tape recorder.
Kato’s entire being was consumed with the horror of watching Hana’s life slowly slip away before his eyes.
Each gurgling choke from her felt like a dagger to his soul. His hands shook violently, trying to move toward her, but his legs gave out, collapsing onto the floor behind Kenji, his hands still trying to reach out towards Hana.
Sora still laid on the floor, looking at his dying mother. The mixture of disbelief and fear had struck so deep, he couldn’t let out a squeak of noise.
The sticky blood on his face was suffocating, each moment he was praying this was just a nightmare and his parents would wake him up soon.
Soon enough, the choking sound came to an end….
Kenji went to Kato, who was barely alive, still looking at his wife.
His eyes, filled with tears, mirrored the overwhelming suffering he was experiencing, mentally and physically.
It looked like he had lost all of his will to live.
“Well, isn’t this tragic,” Kenji taunted, his voice dripping with satisfaction, “The golden child couldn’t even protect his own family, tsk,”
“I would say I am feeling pity for you but that would be a lie, hahaha,“
Like before, the room was filled with Kenji’s laughter, but suddenly, he stopped.
He again raised the knife and stabbed it into Kato’s back, who did tremble, yet didn’t even scream.
“Scream, scream, scream, yell, beg! I want to hear you beg! Beg for your life! Even while knowing that won’t ever work!” Kenji shouted like a maniac as he continued to stab Kato countless times.
“DIE, DIE, DIE, DIE, DIE, DIE, SUFFER, SUFFER, IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT!”
Kenji’s obsessive stabbing filled the room with wet, sickening sounds, the smell of iron slowly intensified as Kato’s blood pooled around them.
Kato, who was seconds away from death, didn’t scream or beg. His eyes, half-lidded and clouded, were fixed on Hana’s lifeless body. The pain of the stabbing was nothing compared to the agony of losing Hana—his will to exist had died with her.
In his last moments, the only thing going through his mind was regret. What if he had just given Kenji the restaurant?
Nothing was more valuable than his wife and son, not even his promise to his father.
With those thoughts, darkness overtook Kato’s vision as he took his last regretful breath.
A/N: Was this dark? I wanted it make it so, but I am still very new to this stuff, *sigh*.
