The Whispers of a Yandere - Chapter 40, Threat!
Sora was tapping his fingers against the desk, waiting for the class to start. Ayame’s face kept appearing in his thoughts, and the urge to go and see her was immense. He couldn’t bear to be apart from her for a moment; Ayame’s presence had become an irreplaceable part of his life, something he wouldn’t give up for anything.
‘Wait, I wonder… If I had the choice to replace her with my parents, would I do it?’ Sora thought. The question might seem dumb to others, but it perplexed him. He tried to imagine a world with his parents, though their faces were slightly blurry, he felt a weird sense of warmth.
Then, he thought of Ayame not existing in that world, and instantly, his eyes moistened, tears starting to well up. He could feel himself struggling to breathe, his heart beginning to race.
‘No, no, no, no, definitely not, even if it was for my parents, I couldn’t do it.’ The pain he felt just imagining it overpowered the warmth, ‘What am I even thinking? Crying over an imaginary situation, like seriously?’ Sora couldn’t help but feel embarrassed as he wiped his tears.
‘Ayame had always been there for me, and I don’t know how I’d survive with her,’ His thoughts were interrupted by someone.
“Hey!” Sora trembled with the sudden greeting, it was a boy with black hair and matching eyes. He was staring at Sora with curiosity and…. A hint of fear?
“M-me?” Sora asked with confusion.
“Mhm, if you don’t mind, can I ask you a question?” The boy said.
Sora felt suspicion creeping up through his body but he didn’t want to be rude, “Sure… But who are you?”
The boy looked at Sora as if he was looking at an exotic animal, “Your classmate..? Takishi Yuta,”
“Oh,” Sora didn’t know how to reply to that, “Nice to meet you, I guess…. I am Arashi Sora,”
“I know your name, Arashi, everyone in the school does,” Yuta said as if stating a fact.
“Eh?” Sora was confused, how’d the whole school know of his presence let alone his name!
“Yeah, from your reaction it seems you thought you were a nobody,” He chuckled, his previous hint of apprehension had totally disappeared.
Sora blushed in response, ‘Damn, this guy kinda cute,’ Yuta thought, ‘No homo, of course, just thinking he’d be a good femb-’ Before he could finish his thought process, a chill ran down his spine as he felt a piercing gaze on his back.
(A/N: Don’t even think about it, she will kill you!!)
‘Phew, thanks for the warning, Author-sama’ Yuta coughed, “As I was saying, you are actually popular, believe it or not,”
“How did that happen?” Sora accidentally said what he was thinking.
“Haha, well you see…” Yuta suddenly stopped, ‘Wait, should I say it? He doesn’t know it seems, is she hiding it from him, I guess that’s expected. Ah well, fuck it, whatever happens, happens’
“You remember Yamato?”
In response, Sora’s eyes widened, “Yamato?” His voice trembled as he repeated the name that triggered an avalanche of unpleasant memories he’d rather forget.
“Yeah,”
“W-what about him? Last I remember, he had left the school,”
“Well, more like forced to, I don’t think you were there that day, but soon after Tsubasa-Senpai transferred to this school, she beat his ass up in the cafeteria, man that was so brutal,” Yuta started describing from his point of view.
“She smashed his head against the wall, the food, basically everything. I thought he’d die that day, actually, I am sure everyone thought the same. After nearly killing him, she went towards the principal’s office and made an announcement,” Yuta gulped as the memories came rushing back about that day.

“Listen very closely you worms,” Ayame’s chilling voice rang throughout the school with absolute authority, the entire school went silent, every breath held in fear of pissing her off, even the principal didn’t dare interrupt her, “I don’t care who you are or what you can do. Engrave this into your very soul or I will make sure it’s the last thing you do,” Her voice was laced with venom, each word dripping with pure malice.
She looked at Yamato from the principal’s CCTV feed, he lay crumpled inside a broken table barely conscious, his blood mixed with cement and wood, “See that pathetic waste of flesh? You know what his crime was? He dared to look at my love, he dared to touch what was mine,” The obsessiveness in her voice was terrifying and cold.
“He’s lucky I was in a good mood today, but don’t mistake it for anything else, because… the next time someone so much as thinks about pulling a stunt like this, I’ll make sure they experience a pain so excruciating that they’ll beg for death, and be sure, it won’t be granted,”
Her last words were a deadly promise, “Stay the fuck away from my SORA, or I’ll make sure to turn your world into a living nightmare, no one will be spared,”

A/N: I wanted to detail her beating up Yamato, but eh, the next victim can fulfil that wish of mine.
