The Villainous Noble Tried His Hardest to Break the Original Storyline, and Now the Heroines Are Acting Weird - 2
Chapter 2

If possible, I’d prefer a world with a calm, grounded setting. One with a living environment not too different from modern life. When I thought along those lines, two works immediately came to mind. A world where modern civilization and magic coexisted. Considering that, of course it had to be Final Quest.
Since I’d played Final Quest extensively, I already had a solid grasp of the story. For one thing, in that world, death wasn’t something you had to constantly worry about. Even if you got taken out in battle, you’d just end up in a near-death state, and resurrection magic could bring you back.
There was also a similar setting in Dragonic Fantasy, but I ruled that one out since the story was much darker. It was created by a development team that loved filling the plot with depressing twists, constantly tormenting and emotionally breaking the protagonist… And to make it worse, when you died in that world, it was a permanent death. Characters who died never reappeared in the main story.
No thanks to such a bleak and brutal world.
“Just to confirm… What kind of difficulty level would the reincarnated world have?”
“Difficulty level…? What exactly do you mean by that?”
“Well, just now, I thought of Final Quest and Dragonic Fantasy, but in Dragonic Fantasy, there’s a super-easy mode where people don’t die. I was wondering how the difficulty works in those worlds.”
“…Let me check. …There are indeed two worlds that match what you described, but based on the game standards you’re referring to, both are locked at Normal difficulty.”
That settled it. Dragonic Fantasy was absolutely out. In Normal mode, characters who die could never rejoin the party. In Easy mode, they just fall into an incapacitated state and recover after some time.
…Well, even if Easy mode were an option, I still wouldn’t want to go there.Way too many people around the protagonist die in that story. Even the protagonist went through some insane hardships on his journey.
Even if I didn’t reincarnate as the protagonist, there was no way I’d be able to live a peaceful life in that world. In that case, the choice was clear.
“Then, could you reincarnate me into the world of Final Quest?”
“Understood. I’ll begin the preparations.”
As the Goddess said that, a game-style window appeared before my eyes. She had a very serious expression as she worked. …Still, she really was a composed and beautiful woman.
With nothing else to do while she worked, I asked something that had been on my mind.
“Will you be talking to my little sister after this too?”
“Yes, that’s the plan.”
The Goddess replied quietly while continuing her work.
“Make sure she gets better conditions and status than me…”
I wanted her to at least live her next life without having to struggle. Our parents had passed away early, and with help from relatives, my sister and I had somehow managed to survive.
In her next life, I wanted her to have it easy, maybe even live selfishly and freely as a royal princess.
“Understood. I’ll listen to your little sister’s wishes and do my best to grant yours as well!”
The Goddess smiled brightly. I genuinely thought she was a wonderful Goddess. …Thanks to her, the previous Goddess who had caused our death by mistake might become a thing of the past.
“Got it.”
“Well then… P-please take care!”
“You too, Goddess-sama. Do your best from here on out.”
“Yes! Thank you very much!”
As the Goddess bowed her head to me repeatedly, my consciousness began to fade. The biggest reason I chose the world of Final Quest—was because there was no level cap.
You could keep leveling up endlessly, becoming so powerful that you were essentially invincible. It wasn’t unusual to reach absurd damage numbers in the tens of digits. While the main game was balanced to be cleared at around level 100, the growth potential was limitless.
You could recruit any character into your party. Even some random old man from the street could become your strongest fighter if you wanted. After clearing the main story, there were post-game challenge dungeons, and most players aimed to conquer those. But you didn’t have to go that far just to live a good life.
As long as I trained hard beforehand, I figured I could handle anything that came my way. That was why I chose that world to reincarnate into. I immediately woke up, ready to start taking action—but I found myself… Inside a prison cell.
And I wasn’t alone. There was one other person—a maid-like woman whose clothes were partially torn. In the dim room, a faint light shone down from a magic crystal embedded in the ceiling.
That light caught the chain binding the woman, revealing how her hands and feet were restrained. In my own hand, I was holding something slimy and unsettling, like a slime. I could feel the slick, slippery texture crawling over my skin.
The slime had also entwined itself around the maid’s outfit, giving her a strangely provocative appearance. She looked at me with a mix of shame and frustration in her eyes. Anger and fear were clearly swirling within them.
Huh? What the hell is this situation? My body won’t move?
And then…
“Hahahahaha! Look, look! This slime has a wonderful effect that enhances sensitivity! Before long, your body will start craving me, won’t it!?”
My mouth moved on its own, speaking in a calm, handsome voice, as I threw the slime I was holding toward the maid. When it struck her, only her maid outfit partially melted.
As the slime latched onto her now-exposed skin, she let out a muffled moan.
“Nnnngh!?”
What the hell is going on!?
I had been thrown into an erotic scene I never saw coming—and on top of that, I couldn’t move my body at all!
