【Having Fun】
“I see. Are you enjoying yourself?”
Hibari turned on her smartphone and checked the message from Yuji.
It was the message she had sent last night after much hesitation; the message she had sent despite previously on purpose turning off her phone.
Yet, faced with a reply that seemed to end the conversation immediately, Hibari tried to send another message but… turned off her smartphone again. Since she had a work phone, turning off this one wasn’t a problem.
“One of us is just here until… today, until evening.”
She muttered as if reminding herself as she stood up. Hibari quickly changed into an elegant maid uniform with black and white as its main colors. Today she tied her long hair and let it hang from her shoulder to her chest.
Hibari began preparing her breakfast in the kitchen. Just like yesterday, she was making a portion for one person. However, this morning she accidentally made enough for two people again. Once more, the extra food would likely be saved for lunch.
After finishing breakfast, Hibari began some light cleaning. As seen so far, Hibari was quite diligent even on days when Yuji wasn’t there. Though she could have watched TV or gone out when Yuji wasn’t around… she just quietly carried on with her usual work while wearing her maid uniform.
But suddenly, Hibari stopped moving and whispered,
“Yuji-sama. You’ll come back just the same as always, unchanged, won’t you?”
What flashed through Hibari’s mind was the image from before they’d gone to the shopping mall—the beautiful sisters who had been looking at her with interest while standing next to Yuito.

After breakfast, during a slightly longer break period, our class called Takebayashi-sensei outside the facility.
The reason was of course…
“You guys… you guys, thank… sniff… thaaank yooou! Waaaaaaahh!”
Upon receiving our surprise, a birthday present one day late, Takebayashi-sensei burst into tears. There were scenes like this in video games too, but seeing our teacher crying tears of joy in real life… although we smiled wryly when he even started dripping snot, it made us feel happy too.
“The teacher was really happy, huh,” Yuito whispered to me.
“Yeah. Well, it was someone else who planned it though.”
“We should thank whoever planned it. Also, we need to deliver 300 yen to Tajima.”
“Right.”
We dispersed because there was another event coming up. Yuito and I returned to our room to get 300 yen from our wallets and had just left the room when it happened.
“H-hey, Kasajima…”
“Hm?”
I heard a faint voice calling my name. When I looked to the side, there was Tajima, the very person we were going to give money to.
“Oh, perfect timing, Tajima-kun! I was just about to give you money with Yuji—”
“Kasajima…”
“Hm?”
“I-it was you, wasn’t it? You stole the money.”
“…Excuse me?”
Tajima glared at me suspiciously.
