- Chapter 10: A Villain's Peaceful School Life?
“Good morning everyone! Good morning, good morning, goooood morning!!!!”
I entered the classroom and greeted everyone energetically. Everyone was looking at me like they’d bitten into something sour, but I didn’t care at all!!
“What’s with him… yesterday he had such a gloomy face…”
“Maybe he really is on some weird drugs?”
“Generally, the type of people who associate with him…”
“Good morning, Yuji-kun!!”
“Oh, morning, Yuito!”
Only Yuito happily returned my greeting. What a nice guy…
“Yuji-kun, I’m sorry. I haven’t been able to tell everyone about how great you are yet…”
“Just having you as a friend lets me have a ‘safe’ school life, so don’t worry about it.”
“Yuji-kun…”
He put his hand on his chest, deeply moved. As pure as ever.
“!!”
“?”
I felt intense stares on my body, completely different from the pressure of ordinary student gazes.
I nervously looked behind Yuito…
“…Yuito. You’re talking to that boy again.”
“I’ve never seen Yui-kun make such a happy face with anyone besides us~”
“Well, it’s a good thing that Yuito has made a new friend.”
“Yes~ And it’s a male friend~”
“That’s right. A male friend… let’s watch over them kindly.”
Despite their seemingly cheerful conversation, their faces weren’t smiling at all. Yuito seemed completely unaware of the stares from behind him.
“Ah, homeroom is about to start. See you later, Yuji-kun.”
“Y-yeah.”
He returned to his seat near the beautiful sisters. They immediately started talking to him.
Good, this was fine. I could be Yuito’s friend without getting involved with the beautiful sisters.
This was my new position.
As the bell signaling the end of fourth period rang and I was stretching my stiff shoulders, someone approached me.
“Yuji-kun, let’s have lunch together!”
Yuito came to my desk with his lunch bag.
“Are you sure you want to eat with me?”
“Of course, we’re friends!”
That made me happy, but…
“Don’t you need to eat with the beautiful… I mean, the Sumino sisters? You seem close…”
“I told Mahiro-chan and Riina-chan that I’m eating with you today!”
“…”
…Was this really okay? Surely the beautiful sisters wouldn’t stay quiet if I took Yuito away from them even during lunch…
Maybe I was overthinking it. After all, the beautiful sisters probably didn’t care if I hung out with Yuito. They were yandere sisters who would be jealous of girls, but shouldn’t care about other guys.
Looking around the classroom, I didn’t see the beautiful sisters. Perhaps they had gone to the cafeteria.
“Let’s eat together then.”
“Yeah! Do you have a lunch box too, Yuji-kun?”
“I do.”
I took out the lunch Hibari had made for me.
This morning, I’d caught a glimpse of Hibari trying to put side dishes in a fancy multi-tiered lunch box and had hurriedly stopped her. I’d also asked her not to use luxurious ingredients like truffles and abalone.
Though I looked like Kasajima Yuji on the outside, inside I was just an ordinary guy. I was not used to fancy lunch boxes or high-class ingredients, and I wanted to blend in at school as much as possible. Well, that was impossible with my face, but still.
“I have a lunch box too~ Oh, can I go buy some tea?”
“Sure, go ahead. I’ll wait right here, so take your time. And don’t hurt yourself.”
“I’m not that clumsy! Be right back!”
After Yuito left the classroom, I let out a sigh of relief. Eating with a friend… I was really living a peaceful school life.
“Excuse me.”
“Hm? Eh?”
I looked up with a relaxed expression to find Mahiro, the older of the beautiful sisters.
“Would you mind talking with me for a bit?”
“Uh, um…”
