The time when I forcibly slept with my friend's sister! - Chapter 72- Warm morning
“Mm…ah!” Just in her habit, Yui was about to fetch her phone after waking up.
However, she wasn’t able to move herself today, for some reason.
“!!!” Her eyes widened his utter shock as she saw the person, holding her so dearly in his arms.
“S-S-S-Senpai?” Her eyes couldn’t have been any more stretched than they currently were.
The memories of last night were too hazy for her—almost seemed like a wishful dream for her.
However, seeing his sleeping face so near her. His warm breath brushed on her face. His body warmth seeped into her skin. These evidence were more than enough to tell that she wasn’t dreaming last night.
Her Senpai…was here. He came…he came!
“It was worth pretending to be asleep.” Yui instantly raised her brows upon hearing his words as her Senpai slowly parted his eyes.
“Your reaction is priceless Yui.”
Seeing his smile and the way he rubbed her head, Yui broke out of her daze as she felt tears suddenly welling in her eyes.
She furiously wiped them away since she didn’t want her Senpai to look at her unsightly display.
However, she didn’t notice, how her action saddened Riku as the boy held her by her forearm and stopped her.
“Yui…I am sorry.” Gently wiping her tears with his thumb, Riku uttered.
“S-Senpai? Why are you-”
“No, Yui. You have already apologized enough. Now please let me say something.”
His tone wasn’t harsh or authoritative. That voice was laced with sadness and regret, which made her heart; ache.
Yui didn’t say anything and nodded.
Riku collected her hair strands as he continued, “I was stupid Yui…I didn’t know what I was thinking all this time. I avoided you. Deliberately victimized myself. I even ignored your texts like you were nothing more than a stranger.”
Recalling all the texts Riku read last night after Ichinose ‘visited’ him made him emotional. He felt a lump restricting him from saying anything anymore, however, Riku wanted to let it all out.
“I have hurt you Yui…I have done something that my past self couldn’t have dared to think of. You kept on apologizing however I got ahead of myself and began taking you lightly.”
Cupping her cheek, Riku looked at her with his eyes holding nothing but utter sadness,
“I have hurt you Yui…I have made you cry. And now…I don’t know what I can do to undo everything.”
Yui’s heart trembled to hear such a sorrow-filled voice of her Senpai. It was the first time she had seen him this hurt. Even when she confessed the truth, he didn’t look as devastated as he was now.
She could discern how he was really guilty for ignoring her. His pain, his suffering, suddenly erased all her previous concerns, and her focus only remained to soothe her Senpai.
“Senpai…please don’t make that face. You know how much I love you…and seeing you like this will make me cry again.”
Holding his hand, Yui pleaded as she looked into his eyes earnestly.
“You don’t need to torture yourself, Senpai. I have wronged you. Broken your trust and made you feel miserable for so many days. Please scold me for what I have done….but please, don’t separate me from yourself, Senpai.”
Riku looked at her for a moment before he embraced the girl tightly in his arms.
“Never….I promise.”
Yui felt her worries melting upon being embraced by her Senpai. All her insecurities, accumulated stress, and loneliness seemed to be fading just by his very presence.
Yui was…finally at peace.

“Ah, you gu-huh?” Ichinose—who was about to greet the two people he was waiting for—suddenly exclaimed upon witnessing the two.
Yui shied away before she dug her face into her Senpai’s chest and held him firmly.
Riku felt a little embarrassed carrying Yui in a bridal hold—especially in front of her brother—however, given her physical condition at the moment, Riku couldn’t have let her walk.
Under Ichinoss’s shocked visage, Riku slowly lowered Yui onto a seat….or so he tried,
“Senpai…” Riku was conflicted seeing those eyes before he glanced at his friend apologetically and sat on the chair before placing her on his lap.
Yui grinned ear to ear having her wish fulfilled but the thud from the other side of the table made her annoyed.
“What the heck?! How can you two be so shameless?”
Yui rebuked, “Focus on your food, Nii-san! I can’t have Senpai away from me today.”
Riku blushed slightly hearing that—making Ichinose jolt in cringe.
“Wipe that corny smile off your face.” Ichinose glared at his shameless friend who was bold enough to get intimate with his sister in front of him.
“But you said I have to take care of Yui. You even punched my face for that.”
Ichinose’s eyes widened seeing how the bastard in front was pretending so smoothly. That fake pained expression didn’t work on him…but it wasn’t the same for Yui who actively began to inspect Riku’s face.
Upon finding the slight bruise, Yui turned her attention toward her brother before she shouted,
“Baka, Nii-san! Why did you hit Senpai?!”
“Hawww…how ungrateful Yui! I helped you out and now you are shouting at your elder brother?”
Yui was taken aback by that retort since the favor her brother did, albeit in exchange for hitting her beloved, was too great to continue arguing.
The commotion subdued soon after as Yui didn’t say anything further and Ichinose also calmed down.
Amidst the silence, Riku spoke up,
“Jokes apart, Ichi…I am really thankful for what you have done for us…”
Yui also realized her mistake and upon hearing from her Senpai she also extended her gratitude,
“I am sorry, Nii-san, for shouting at you….and thank you.”
Seeing his sister bowing her head and those warm eyes his friend directed him, made Ichinose slightly flustered.
“You guys…are really cruel.” Crossing his arms on his chest, Ichinose leaned back on his chair with a stubborn look.
“…can’t even let me get mad properly.”
Hearing the complaint, Yui and Riku glanced at each other, before they chuckled at the same time.
This morning…couldn’t have been any more better.
