The time when I forcibly slept with my friend's sister! - Chapter 61- Confession
It has been two days since Yui and Ichinose went back to their old residence. Both because Riku was now healthy and fine, and also because the apology their father presented was too heartless to reject.
In the end, after a lot of convincing, Yui decides to go back. Although she was gravely anxious about her Senpai’s health, she didn’t resist for long.
Now, today was Saturday when Yui and Riku were walking out of the school building together. The autumn breeze was in full swing, with the temperature appropriate enough to wear a light jacket.
“Tomorrow is the day, huh…” Riku heaved a sigh with those words.
Yui’s attention always remains on her Senpai, so of course, his concern-fueled voice didn’t escape her ears.
“Worried?” She might have tried canceling the event that was making her Senpai so anxious, but considering the person involved in this…Yui found herself entirely helpless.
Tomorrow was the day when Yui’s parents would meet Riku; not as her brother’s friend, but as Yui’s partner.
The fact that Yui’s mother agreed to meet him was an unbelievable yet welcomed development, and thus Riku’s current predicament.
Taking her hand in his grasp, Riku shook his head and responded in his natural tone, “Nah, not worried. Just a tiny bit concerned whether she would find me worthy to date you or not.”
With a short pause and slight determination in his voice, he continued, “Regardless, I am going to give my all to this interview. I will make it clear that there could be no one better for you, than me.”
Yui’s heart fluttered as she heard his resolve about tomorrow. She was about to comfort him, but upon realizing how serious her Senpai was, she decided not to.
Leaning toward him a little she whispered, “Do your best. I am rooting for you.”

Riku asked whether Yui was free for the afternoon, and naturally, she nodded to that. There could be nothing more important for her than her Senpai.
Riku brought Yui to the new cafe near the school. There was an open balcony option for the customers along with the general indoor seating arrangements.
Riku wanted to go there with Yui and thus, he invited her.
“Table for two. Outdoor please.” Hearing Riku’s request, the waiter smiled and invited the two customers inside.
The female waitress brought the two to the terrace balcony where several tales were arranged and a few customers already populating the place.
Since this cafe was situated on the hill near their school, the view from here was incredible. The slow breeze of the autumn along with the scenery of the evening sun in the background seemed really pleasant.
Yui and Riku were seated near the edge while facing each other.
Riku smiled at how eagerly Yui was looking around. She really seemed to be liking the place.
“It’s beautiful…isn’t it?” Yui asked in a soft tone.
Without looking even a bit away from her face Riku hummed in response,
“Indeed.”
Yui found that her Senpai seemed a little too calm. Turning her gaze back at him, she found him looking back at her warmly.
Yui was about to ask what happened when suddenly, Riku held her hand on the table and asked,
“Do you remember when was the first time we met, Yui?”
Yui was surprised why her Senpai was asking something like this out of the blue, but being aware of the answer there was no way she was going to stay silent.
“Five years ago, on 12th November, Sunday. You came with Nii-san after a soccer match since he was injured. It was the day when we actually met rather than glancing at each other.”
Yui had seen Riku various times before the day she mentioned but she got to talk to her Senpai on that particular day.
Riku raised his brows hearing such a precise date as he spoke, “I am surprised that you remember so correctly. Well, it’s the same for me. I also remember that day pretty well.”
With a chuckle, he added, “After all, who could have thought my innocent Yui-chan could be so brutal when she found her Nii-san being injured.”
Riku still remembered how Yui was berating him and blaming Riku for Ichinose’s injury without bothering to listen to him at all.
If not for Ichinose then their misunderstanding never would have been sorted.
“Don’t remember that, Senpai! I was just a clueless girl.” Yui grumbled, wanting her Senpai to delete that part of the memory.
Seeing his junior huffing, made Riku chuckle lightly. She really seemed embarrassed about that incident.
“It wasn’t like I feel bitter about it, Yui…after all, you were angry for your brother. Honestly, I was impressed at how strong-willed you are.”
Yui’s small tantrum came to a halt as she heard Senpai’s words. Even though he was just trying to comfort her, it felt nice to be complimented by the person you adore.
Squeezing her hand a little, he continued, “You know…initially, I began to like you not as a junior or a little sister. I was just seeing you as nothing but Yui…and thus I began developing feelings for you.”
Yui blinked in surprise upon hearing that. She was unaware that something like that was on her Senpai’s mind in the past.
Yui remembered her Senpai being that protective barrier who always supported her and her brother whenever something troubled them. While it was true that she never saw him as a brother, Yui never thought that it was the same for Riku as well.
“However, when I realized how I would be betraying Ichinose’s trust by harboring feelings for you, I started reflecting on my perception.” A deep sigh leaves out his lips as he turns his head toward the scenery and continues,
“That’s why I buried my feelings and started new. I tried my best to see you just as my sister. I really did…but,”
As Riku retracted his gaze to look at her, there were small drops of tears hanging at the corner of her eyes. However, he continued, not wanting to cower away again and not confess his feelings.
“…I just can no longer hide my feelings for you, Yui.”
Riku got up from his seat and extended his hand to his right.
Yui was so focused on him that she never noticed how a waiter arrived and delivered the bouquet of flowers, Riku pre-ordered.
Getting on his knee, Riku focused his gaze on her. Taking a deep breath he finally voiced his honest thoughts,
“I am in love with you, Tsukasa Yui. I know I may not be the perfect partner for you. I know I may make you unhappy or cry in the future. However, every time you find yourself at your worst, I will be there to listen to you. I will be there to share of happiness and lessen your burden. I will do everything in my capability to make you smile and keep this relationship stable. So please…can you be my girlfriend?”
The tears had already begun sliding down her cheeks as Yui heard her Senpai’s confession.
All her uncertainties, which she herself didn’t realize there were, vanished in an instant.
Her love, her life, her happiness, her pride, everything began and ended with this person. And now…he was willingly asking to become one with her.
What was there to even ponder any longer?
“Yes….I will be your girlfriend. Please take care of me, Senpai!”

A/N:- Naaah! The story doesn’t end here. There still is something left. I just wanted to write the confession in a comfortable situation and so I did. Now onto the last drama.
