The time when I forcibly slept with my friend's sister! - Chapter 54- Family
[Riku’s POV:]
“She is angry.”
“Yeah, she is.” My words were affirmed by my friends as we saw Yui walking out of the dining room with the excuse that she didn’t feel like eating and after serving us, she just wordlessly left.
I knew she was upset that’s why I didn’t bother her immediately and let her go.
“Hey, Riku…” As I and Ichi began eating our brunch, which was decently tasty, despite how displeased she seemed, Ichi called out for me.
Humming in response, I used my spoon to scoop as much curry and rice as I could before taking a good big bite. Oh, it was extremely delicious.
However, upon hearing his words, my taste soured instantly, “We may be a burden to you but please can you let us stay for a few days here?”
I was left speechless at that. I mean, up until now when Ichi never considered being homeless as a trouble worth bothering, I thought he regarded this place as his home as well. So why should he feel stressed about it?
However, I guess, he doesn’t think of me as close as I deem myself to him.
“Haah….really? You need to ask to stay here, Ichi? I considered our friendship worth more than this.”
Yui and Ichinose have been there for me in the bleakest period of my life. When I felt extremely down or elated because of some achievement, they were there to share it with me.
And to think Ichi had to ask me such trivial stuff? Maybe it was because our living conditions were different and so were our parents?
Considering that point I added, soon after, “If you are stressed about what Mom would say, then don’t be. We both know what kind of a person she is. She considers you and Yui as a family so no point in brooding about such small stuff.”
There was not a single thing I lied about. Ichi, in my mother’s perception, was like a son, no less. She may get worried about the Tsukasa family conflicts but I know she would understand the circumstances, once I tell her the whole truth.
Hearing my words, Ichi smiled. Just from his eyes, I could tell that he was barely holding himself from shedding some tears.
“Thanks, man….thanks a lot.”
“Ah, it’s alright.”

After we finished lunch, Ichinose remained in the living room to finish his homework…well, that was an excuse since I could tell he was receiving some calls from Kuriyama-san.
That impatient little scientist even texted me to find out where Ichi was and why he wasn’t picking up his phone. Considering that they were chatting over phone calls now explains how quickly Kuriyama-san has leaped in her relationship with Ichi.
Well, I had nothing to do with them as of now, since my priority was on feeding my girlfriend, this world-class curry. Seriously, at first, I didn’t realize its true value, but as I continued eating, I realized my plate was getting emptied in no time yet my stomach was asking for more.
In the end, I only stopped after finishing a second full plate serving of curry and rice. Thankfully there was enough for Mom, Yui, and Ichinose if he felt like eating again after some time.
*Knock* *Knock*
Arriving at the door, I knocked twice. It didn’t take long before Yui appeared before me, with her eyes slightly red and her hair disheveled.
It seemed she was crying all this time.
“Senpai…why are you carrying this much weight all of a sudden?”
As expected of my Yui. Even in her distress, she was concerned about my health.
I didn’t respond to her immediately rather I intruded myself into her room before letting her know, a certain fact,
“I have enough strength now to even cradle you in my arms.”
I put the tray on the table before bringing a chair near the bed. Once I settled it, I turned to look at Yui…only to find the aftermath of my words, leaving a healthy blush on her face.
Seriously, this girl…
“If you react like that, even I would get embarrassed you know…” I pulled the girl and made her sit down. And since a blushing Yui is an obedient Yui, she followed my lead and sat at the edge of the bed.
I brought the tray and after taking the chair, I put the food tray over my lap.
“Now open up. You haven’t had anything since morning…” I scooped a half spoonful of curry rice before bringing it near her lips.
Yui was brought back to reality by my words as she parted her lips, soon after.
Wordlessly, I fed her some portion, before I finally broke the ice with the matter I had been concerned about since earlier,
“Are you angry at your mother?”
Yui’s chewing rhythm halted before she nodded twice, without hesitation. Even with her flaming eyes, at the mention of her mother, I could tell how enraged this girl was.
I sighed with a smile before forwarding the spoon toward her lips as I said, “But if you see things from her perceptive, you won’t find her reaction any wrong.”
This time, Yui didn’t accept the food rather she held my wrist and tilted her head to the right to look me in the eyes before she spoke with utmost certainty, “From whichever perception I look at this…she seems wrong in every possible way. So, please Senpai, don’t try to convince me on this one.”
From her tone and firm words, I could tell that she was upset with her mother unlike ever before. Yui has never been happy with her parents but this time, she seemed rather disappointed.
“But Yui…your mother doesn’t know me well. In her eyes, I am just any other guy who wouldn’t miss a chance to get in her daughter’s pants.”
I may have sounded vulgar there but I needed to make Yui see things from the other side. Despite how she mostly remains mature, there were certain situations where she needed to be advised and guided.
And as her Senpai and boyfriend, it was my place to play that role.
I placed the tray on the bed before pulling Yui onto my lap as I continued,
“Parents always remain alert about their children’s safety. And considering how few times I have met your mother, it was her natural reaction toward your stay at my place. So please calm down, alright?”
Yui’s eyes softened upon hearing my words. Fortunately, it seemed she was understanding what I was trying to relay here.
I wasn’t creating some excuses here. From what I have perceived from this situation, I could speak for both sides without partiality.
Since this situation has come up, I was thinking of meeting Yui’s parents soon and officially announcing our relationship,
*Ding* *Dong*
….but I didn’t think that chance would come this soon.

A/N:- Well, this is going to be a…mature talk? It’s a coincidence I have brought parents arc in two of my works at the same time.
