The time when I forcibly slept with my friend's sister!

“Yui, don’t.”

“But Senpai~”

“Nu-uh…I am not gonna be fed by you in front of others…it’s too embarrassing and Ichi would probably glare at me to death.”

It was a small banter I found myself getting involved in since this silly girlfriend of mine was hell-bent on feeding me dinner.

It was funny to see how Yui was cautious about things that even Mom didn’t find necessary to bother about. Brushing my hair for example.

Yui was treating me like I had lost both of my hands and needed assistance in every single thing. While it was warming in its rights, the teasing comments and giggles from Mom and later by Miho were too much to bear.

And now Yui was even suggesting to feed me dinner even though my left hand was injured.

I couldn’t even fathom what kind of gaze Ichi would have if he saw us getting all cozy at the dining table….he might probably add laxatives or something to my food.

Despite how he seems, I know that Ichinose is a very caring brother to Yui and this sudden news of hearing his best friend was now a thing with his sister must have riled him up.

“Nii-san would do nothing, I promise you,” Yui said with a determined look as she stood in front of me while I sat with my legs hanging down the bed.

Miho and Mom had gone down to help Ichinose set up the table, leaving the two of us alone.

“It’s not about Ichi…I would die of embarrassment being fed by my junior even though I can eat on my own.”

I tried reasoning with her since Yui was getting a little too fixated on feeding me. I mean, I know she was concerned about me but publicly such an act…no, I won’t be able to taste a thing.

“Senpai….” My daze broke as I redirected my gaze at her moistened eyes and upturned look as Yui asked in a feeble tone, “Am I just your junior…?”

“…”

‘….fuck, she misunderstood my intention….but why that look?! It’s too much for my kokoro Yui-chan!’

I was facepalming myself because of how dangerously adorable she looked with those flushed cheeks and big eyes filled with tears. Like a lost kitten trying to find some warmth.

I couldn’t help gazing at her more than I should have before replying in a softer tone, “Okay, you can…”

I was honey-trapped.

Yui knew how to push my buttons and get me to agree to something she wanted to happen.

I don’t remember how and why I accepted this proposal but now I am feeling really out of place being fed curry and rice by Yui.

“Open up, Senpai~”

I parted my lips with my eyes closed and took the spoonful of rice in my mouth before I began to chew the food. Truth be told, it was quite delicious but because of a certain someone, I couldn’t quite enjoy the food…

“Fufu…Yui-san has got Riku-kun wrapped around her finger.” There was something Miho commented on my situation which I would pretend that I never heard.

“Right? I think they look lovely together…what you say, Ichi-kun?”

No Mom…you didn’t need to ask him that…

I looked at Ichinose and found him silently eating his food. I also didn’t pay much mind to it for now and continued having dinner while having a casual chat with others.

I told Yui to eat as well, which she did only to realize how she used the same spoon with which she was feeding me. And then what, another session of Mom and Miho’s episode of teasing and comments.

Regardless, the dinner went harmoniously.

It was at night during ten when I got out of the house and approached Ichinose who was walking around the backyard with his ears stuffed with earbuds.

Miho had already returned home with Ichinose’s curry with her, packed in a lunch box. Since there was a lot he made, he casually gave some to her…but only I understood how dearly Miho was going to treasure that curry.

Yui was with Mom, currently occupied in the gossip of a variety of topics that I couldn’t get interested in, at all. Like they were even talking about different kinds of nail shapes and the best polish that went along with them.

Like, really?

Since I wanted to have a chat with Ichi anyway, I chose this moment.

“What you listening?”Hearing my voice he pulled out the earphones before responding, “Just some classic. What about you? Is it fine for you to roam around like this?”

“Yeah, it’s not like I would remain indoors for the rest of my life.”

“But still, take care.”

I nodded to his warning as we walked around the small garden which had stone pavement around.

A heavy silence descended between us. This was truly unusual for us to be this silent since we had been friends for so many years, we both knew what topics could continue the conversation.

‘Why beat around…’ I steeled myself and decided that there was no point in going around the bush.

“Ichi, I wanted to-” I was about to continue but he interjected.

“Apologize?” I was surprised that he knew or maybe was simply expecting. Regardless I nodded in confirmation.

Ichinose sighed…not in annoyance but more like amusement before he voiced his thought with his eyes trained forward, “I have already forgiven you so don’t feel burdened anymore, Riku.”

I raised my brows but didn’t interrupt him as Ichi continued, “As I said, you are the best partner for my sister…I know how you are my inside, Riku. I know how you will always care for her and won’t let her cry.”

I felt…better than before, like my shoulders got dropped in relief and my body seemingly loosened up. As I said earlier, only my Mother’s and Ichinose’s opinion matters to me and Yui…and hearing that Ichinose was fine to have me as his sister’s boyfriend, puts my heart at ease.

There was another round of silence that ensued between us but this time it wasn’t as heavy as before.

After some minutes I decided to return to my room since I already have received five messages from Yui and I was feeling sleepy as well.

However, just as I was about to leave Ichi called out for me.

“Riku…there might come a time when you feel complicated about your relationship with Yui…if you want, you can consult me….”

Saying such, he turned away and continued walking with his earphones back plugged in.

It would be not so long after that I would realize the meaning behind his words.
