The time when I forcibly slept with my friend's sister! - Chapter 42- How are you?

[Midnight]

Riku’s mother arrived some hours ago and handled all the formalities with the police and hospital.

The camera footage clearly showed how Hitomi was trying to murder Riku and that was enough evidence to get her imprisoned. The lawyer Ryuuta’s father sent was handling all the procedures but no one arrived from Hitomi’s side.

Upon investigation, it was concluded that because of her unstable mental condition, she was thrown away by her grandparents and lived alone. Then it was decided that Hitomi would be sent first for mental treatment before her judgment for imprisonment could proceed.

Ichinose and Yui have been in the hospital as well, naturally. 

More than Riku(who had just lost a good margin of blood) Ichinose was getting apprehensive about Yui who had fainted more than twice by now. She has been wailing to the point of dehydration.

Even Riku’s mother didn’t shed that many tears or seemed shaken up as much as Yui was.

Currently, the siblings were sitting just outside of the room in which Riku was being treated. Riku’s mother has gone to deal with the hospital forms and other stuff.

Her day was really hectic.

*Clink*

Hearing the door parting both Ichinose and Yui sprang to their feet and approached the doctor.

“Doctor…how is he now?” Hearing Ichinose’s query the doctor halted and turned toward the duo.

“He’s conscious now but please keep your visit brief. We have to survey his mental health as well for any kind of lasting trauma.”

It was given that Riku would be suffering from post-traumatic symptoms after what had occurred but still Yui felt her heart clenching upon hearing those words.

Her Senpai has been trying so hard to get over his past and now another incident similar to his childhood has transpired once again.

“We understand, doctor.” The doctor nodded before he walked away.

Yui wiped her tears which had created redness under her eyes. Her nose has turned red as well with her face slightly paler compared to her natural self.

Walking inside the room, Yui found her Senpai looking out of the window which was opposite the entrance of the room.

Hearing the door opening, Riku turned his eyes and found the two familiar people standing there.

“Hey….guys. Umm…how have you been?” Riku awkwardly asked, lost on words to how to greet them.

“You seriously are asking us how we are?” Ichinose’s mocking reply was replied with a wry smile from Riku.

“Are you still feeling nauseous or something?” Hearing Ichinose’s worried tone, despite how he tried to mask it, Riku simply shook his head in denial.

He indeed was feeling a little weak and stuffy because of this environment but other than that, he was fine.

“Have you contacted my mom?”

“Ah, yes. She would come to meet you in a few minutes. ”

Riku felt guilty hearing that his mother had to return from her trip. She usually tries to ignore overnight trips because of Riku and for the first time in months she needed to go out, everything got messed up.

“What about your parents?” Riku remembered that Ichinose and Yui went to meet their parents today.

“Ah, don’t worry about them. We had a chat as usual and then bye-bye. More than that, I am eager to know something, Riku. How did you know that Hito-”

“Nii-san…can you leave us alone for a bit?” Yui, who has been silent until now and looking at Riku with a blank expression spoke up.

Her chilly voice sent a shiver down the other two’s spines before Ichinose nodded and walked out, only after giving a salute of luck to his comrade.

Riku also wanted to talk to Yui so he didn’t mind what Ichinose would think of this sudden closeness between the two.

After the door closed, a brief silence ensued between the two. Yui’s head hung low and her trembling shoulders signified how desperately she was refraining from crying.

Riku’s heart clenched at the sight before he slowly brought his hand and held her wrist.

“Come here…” Pulling her slightly, Riku urged the girl to get up from her seat which Yui did, and before she knew she found herself in her Senpai’s arms.

This embrace was her breaking point before the sound of her sobs erupted all of a sudden. Yui was devastated. The remembrance of her Senpai covered in blood haunted her each minute whenever she closed her eyes. The dread of losing the person she loves the most ushered her to never leave this embrace and to keep on holding her Senpai for the rest of their lives.

“I am sorry Yui…I am sorry for making you so worried….” Riku was feeling helpless in this situation upon seeing the girl he promised to protect, breaking apart like this.

More than any wound or mental trauma, what hurt Riku more was the heart-wrenching cries of Yui. He wanted to keep her smiling forever yet here she was sobbing like this, because of him.

Both of them embraced each other with numerous thoughts whirling inside.

After some minutes of grieving cries, Yui finally calmed herself down. She realized how she must be worrying her Senpai because of her behavior.

“Are you okay, now? We can be like this for a little longer, you know…” More like Riku didn’t want her to leave him at the moment. He wanted her to stay like this.

Whether Yui understood his unspoken request or she also wanted to be in her Senpai’s arms, she soon snuggled closer and rubbed her face against his chest to show her assent.

“Did I make you worry? I mean, I surely did but you know it was necessary to know Hitom-”

“Don’t say that name, Senpai. I hate her.” The way she clutched his shirt in agitation and the anger her voice contained, made Riku certain that he shouldn’t mention Hitomi in front of Yui.

“Alright…then how about we talk about us, Yui?”

Yui lifted her face in perplexion with her big eyes raised in question.

Riku just smiled at her before the doors parted once again, revealing a middle-aged woman wearing an apprehensive expression currently.

“Riku! Ho-” Riku’s mother halted in her tracks upon finding her son and Yui in such an intimate space.

Yui actually tried escaping his arms but Riku held her in place and parted his lips to make maybe the biggest announcement of his life.

“Mom…I want to tell you something about me and Yui…”

A/N:- The incident shook him up but Yui would support her Senpai at every step of their life.

Now the real dating life of the two would begin and also some spicy obstructions along the way~
