- The time when I forcibly slept with my friend's sister!
- Chapter 2- Being a wingman?
Soon lunch break arrived. I wasn’t a brilliant student, just an average person who wouldn’t understand a thing until he didn’t pay absolute attention to the class. And since I don’t like going to cram school I have to forge extra concentration.
Due to that, the initial four classes went by before I could realize and the bell made us realize that for the next half an hour we were free to hang around.
“Pack it up.” Ichinose attached his bench to mine with a triple-layered bento box with him.
“Yui-chan made it, huh…not bad.”
Yui-chan wasn’t a good cook initially but she practiced a lot and has improved with time. Though there’s no need for her to learn how to cook, Yui-chan insisted in regards to becoming a good housewife one day.
Seriously, the determined face of Yui-chan was so kawaii that I couldn’t help but take a picture of her. I did ask whether she minded if I keep the picture but she placed a single condition on it.
‘Only if you make it your wallpaper… ‘
I didn’t have any problems so I just did what she asked. However, her reaction upon seeing herself on my phone was kind of funny.
“Hey, Miho. Come eat with us.”
I called my childhood friend who didn’t go to the cafeteria with her friends just as I told her.
While blushing furiously she walked in our direction. After she put her lunch on the table, I got up from my seat and offered her.
“Take this one. I will get yours.”
Without letting Ichi realize it, Miho widened her eyes in my direction with her face growing even redder than before. Clearly, it was too much for her to handle.
But I ruthlessly brought my hand to her shoulder and forced her to sit down beside Ichinose.
I hopped toward the other side and brought Miho’s chair with me. When I came back I saw Ichinose asking whether Miho prepared her own bento to which the girl happily nodded and said how she has always been interested in cooking.
“Oh shoot! I forgot that I had to help Akechi-san in council work. Sorry, but I will join you guys in a minute…”
That certainly was a lie since Akechi-san was in the infirmary since the third period due to her intolerance to heat. Even though the school was entirely air-conditioned, it’s a usual occurrence for her to rest in the infirmary and until now I believe she must be still there.
However before I could have moved out, “Aren’t you hanging a lot with her these days?” It was surprisingly Ichinose who asked. I thought Miho would try to stop me because of her embarrassment.
I turned to look at his narrowed gaze which brought an ‘Oh shit!’ curse from within.
‘Does he like Akechi-san? If she hears that Ichi was getting a little possessive here she might jump over the moon but what should I do here…?’ After quickly thinking I replied, “I just need to submit a sheet.”
I pulled out a budget sheet I have helped the treasurer prepare, to make my lie seem true. And thankfully Ichinose didn’t pry more and with a shrug focused back on his lunch.
With a deep breath, I took the still half-filled list with me and walked out of the class.
I could feel Miho’s gaze following my back but it would be best if she handles it by herself.
To help her, I took out my phone and texted Miho some advice.
Me: [Don’t reply back since it would be rude to Ichi. First of all, don’t panic. Second, I know you have table manners but please don’t try to open your mouth while chewing since it irritates Ichi to no end. I deliberately do it regularly so I know. And third, he likes omelet roles so if you have some try feeding it to him. Best of luck (Thumb emoji)]
Miho doesn’t have much information about Ichi so these points would help her build a steady relationship with him.
Basically, I know about Ichi more than anyone, even his parents. So I like to help out those women who want to form a genuine and long-lasting relationship with him on the basis of the facts that I know about him.
Making my way out of the class, I didn’t go to the council office and kept the register with me for now.
‘Damn…I feel hungry. Should I check the cafeteria..? ‘ There weren’t many things I like about the eatery and the famous buns which I love about the place must have already sold out. So even the thought of getting my hands on one seemed impossible…
…or so I thought.
“Sen~pai~”
My feet came to half as I heard a familiar voice from behind before I turned to find the same person I expected to see.
“Yui-chan…”

[Ichinose’s POV:]
“I-Ichinose-kun…would you like to try this dish I have made…” I turned my gaze toward the girl on my right who was offering an omelet roll.
“Sure…” I accepted it with a smile even though I wasn’t feeling like smiling at all.
Just now, my best friend, almost like my brother—Riku went to meet Akechi-san which made me feel suspicious since yesterday as well, they entered the classroom together with random excuses prepared beforehand.
It wasn’t like I have feelings for Akechi-san but rather I feel pity for her.
Yes, a pity since there’s someone I know who would not like it if anyone goes near my friend.
Not even me.
Heck, even that girl would get upset if sometimes Riku tells how he slept in his mother’s room due to his trauma of ‘that’ event.
Until now she has kept her feelings to herself but I am certain that it wouldn’t last for long.
Riku doesn’t see it but he has been getting a little popularity for some time now. And he deserves it since other than his kind nature and how he always smiles at whatever situation arises, Riku doesn’t look bad either.
In normal circumstances, I would have been happy for him and might have tried working as a wingman to get my brother settled with some well-mannered and beautiful girl.
But when none other than my sister, Yui, is pursuing my best friend I had no option but rather than to look out for her so Yui doesn’t end up hurting someone because of her possessiveness.
I have no clue how Riku would react once he gets to see the other side of Yui but I dearly hope that the two most precious people in my life stay always together.
“Now I will feed you, Miho-san. Say aahhhh~”
For some reason, Miho-san seemed feverish but I successfully fed her the cabbage roll Yui made for me and Riku. However now that he’s not here, I would get help from Miho-san in finishing this all.
