The Tale of Two worlds : Realms Unveiled - Chapter :- 9

After that day, taking a class with Vayu-sensei became a daily routine. At first minding my weaken state, he only taught me four hours, but as my conditions started getting better, so did his classes’ duration.

Two, two-hour classes turned into two, four-hour classes, which later turned into One six hour class and one four-hour class.

But that doesn’t mean that his classes started boring me. He explained everything so easily and excitedly that I didn’t even get to know when his classes started or ended.

He covered a wide range of topics while teaching me, from the name of the nearest city and this world’s common sense to how this world is divided, its inhabitants, and many other things.

After that day after day, I continuously studied and got a basic understanding of this world when one day old-man called me outside the house.

Getting outside of the house, I saw old-man doing some light exercise. Seeing me coming. He asked me to pick a weapon from the horde of weapons lying on his one side.

“Pick any weapon you want and attack me. We will just do some mock battles to know where you stand today. You have already recovered mostly, so from today on your physical training will begin too”[Atul]

With excitement filling my heart, I went straight to attack old-man but got defeated before I could even know what was happening. Looking at me while standing, the old man came to sit near me and said.

“Well, you have the basics of fighting covered, so from now on, what we will focus on is developing them a tad bit higher.”[Atul]

Saying so, the old man walked back to home, leaving me alone on the ground rethinking my choices. But before he completely disappeared from my view, he spun back and spoke.

“Oh, you should also use your skills from tomorrow. We have to level up them too.”[Atul]

After that day, my training with the old-man begin. We did a lot of mock battles, where he continuously pointed out my mistake.

“What is the hurry? Take some time to attack me If you know that I am not gonna attack you.”[Atul]

“I told you not to hurry when you know I was not gonna attack you, not when I am actively attacking you.”[Atul]

Except that my physical training also involved a game of tag against the puppets turned against puppets and Vayu, running around the jungle without letting any Sylvan Screamers catch me, the basic training and at last weapon training.

Like this, my day started with training and end with training while studying with Vayu-sensei in the middle, but still it was a very enjoyable day.

After three months of training like this old-man took me to my first monster hunting, I thought it would be fun, so I quietly followed him but it was hell.

The first monster he made me fight was a goblin-like monster. The reason I said goblin-like was because this monster’s name bloblin was instead of being green, it was of mixed color and his face instead of being ugly was actually, well; it was still pretty ugly.

The fight between me and blobin was very easy, and I finished I finished him in one strike or so I thought the fight would be but the fight was actually very intense, the blobin was very agile, he nearly dodged all of my strikes even disarmed me by kicking my sword away.

Not only his defense, but his attacks were heavy, too. Whenever he hit, it felt like I had been hit by a bike or something. If not for the armor old-man gave me, I would have already broken one or more ribs.

But after struggling for half an hour, I finally managed to subdue him and then came the toughest part of defeating a monster, killing them.

My hand started shaking, and my resolve weakened. With a heavy guilt in my heart I finished him but after doing that I started vomiting or not.

Actually, I had already killed a pig and butcher it back in the orphanage by the order of Mrs Anderson, so it wasn’t really that tough for me to kill a bloblin once I made up my heart.

After that day went and I started defeating a blobin very easily, I even defeated a herd of globin alone. Seeing my progression, my opponent changed from a boblin to dorc, an orc like monster but more pig and less humanoid.

The training with dorc went same, then dorc changed to tarantula, tarantula changed into chimera, and like that after 6 months of continuous fighting against different monster, the day of the revenge finally came.

The day I fought against a Sylvan Screamer.

According to Vayu-sensei, Sylvan Screamers are the Apex predator of this portion of the jungle where we live. They always are found in the group of more than 10 but does not mean that their strength as an individual is less.

Even a single Sylvan Screamer is very powerful. A single Sylvan Screamer is considered a B class monster.

After searching for a Sylvan Screamers in the jungle for an hour, we finally found a small group of 20 Sylvan Screamers.

The old-man killed the other 19 in a moment and left the weakest one for me.

The fight was very tough, doesn’t matter how I attack, he always dodges it, and his attacks were so powerful that I couldn’t even ensure one of his punches.

After 2 minutes of intense to and fro, I finally made a mistake. Taking advantage of that, the Sylvan Screamer finally managed to land a punch on me, making me fell unconscious.

I don’t remember what happened after that but most probably, the old-man killed him before he could kill me.

Seeing me struggling against a weak Sylvan Screamer, the Old-man continued my fights with other monsters, raising my skill level in the process.

After two months more of hunting monsters, my status finally looked like this.

The status’ look very different from the first time I opened it and even the three locked skills had disappeared too. On asking Vayu-sensei about this, he said that my status changed due to it adopting itself according to this world.

As for the skill, they will again show themselves when I will unlock.

Like this, my days have gone by and before I knew it, an entire year has already passed.

Starting to get bored here a little, I begged Old-man to let me go to the city, but for some reason he always says one thing.

“If you want to go, you are free to go. You completed your basic training in the third month of your stay.[Atul]

“But remember, if you once go to the city, you have to promise me about keeping the location and my existence a secret. Also that you will not cone back.”[Atul]

After listening to the old-man saying this, some doubts about leaving this place started taking place in my mind for some reason.

On asking Vayu-sensei for his advice, he said.

“Why don’t you just try to defeat a Sylvan now, you have already improved a lot. If you can defeat a Sylvan on your, there won’t be much for us to teach you.”[Atul]

Huh, that sounds like a good idea, after making, “defeating a Sylvan” my goal I proposed this to Old man.

Listening to me, he also agreed with a nod.

And like that, we created a plan for tomorrow, a test for myself to decide if I am ready to leave the house or not.
