The Tale of Two worlds : Realms Unveiled

The aroma of spices filled the kitchen as Atul moved around the kitchen preparing food for himself, Vayu and Celia.

Behind him Vayu was sitting on the bench, opening his mouth to say something but closing it before any word come out from his mouth as he continued looking at Atul with eyes full of guilt.

“What?”[Atul]

Atul, finally breaking the silence, asked Vayu a question in an annoyed tone.

“Um, you know, you handled it quite well.”[Vayu]

Vayu replied to Atul, with fear and guilt clearly present in his voice.

“Um, you know, I wouldn’t have to if you had just kept your trap close for a little longer.”[Atul]

Turning his head and looking straight into Vayu’s eyes Atul said it to him and then turn back and started cooking again.

“I am sorry. I didn’t know she would react like this.”[Vayu]

Vayu fly to Atul’s side and sat on his left shoulder and said it to him.

In reply of which Atul with his right hand gripped Vayu by his leg and gently put him back on the couch, for the third time.

“Well, she did overreact a little, that’s foe sure. I mean, I saved her life. By the rule of the jungle, I am allowed to do anything with her, but I didn’t. As for those things she accused me of, even if I had done those things, it would have been to save her and yet the audacity that girl has.”[Atul]

After putting Vayu on the couch, Atul sighed a bit and then continued his complain. While complaining, at some point, he even forgot that he was actually angry at Vayu and not Celia.

“Hey you know, you could cut the girl some slack. She has a lot of troubles lined up for her already.”[Vayu]

“And as for the scene in the bedroom, I am pretty sure it was just her mind being too confused right now to think normally.”[Vayu]

Seeing Atul getting a little annoyed by Celia, Vayu explained the reason for Celia’s outburst to Atul in a caring voice, containing a little sympathy for Celia.

“Hmm, that’s true. You know half of my life problem actually gets solved I you speak like this normally.”[Atul]

“And take half of my life’s fun from my life. Like I will do something like that.”[Vayu]

Saying so, Vayu started laughing and seeing him Atul started laughing too.

Atul, after having a heartfelt laugh, turned back to the chopping table when he heard a voice of a person dropping a plate from behind.

Atul and Vayu, hearing the sound, turned their back and got a taken aback as they saw

Celia standing in front of them.

Most of her bandages had already been removed compared to before, leaving only the ones that covered the major wounds yet to heal on her body.

Seeing the weakened Celia about to fall any moment if not for her taking the support of the cabinet.

Atul rushed immediately and helped her lie down on the couch and put her hand on Vayu’s stomach as a replacement for a pillow as there was no pillow on the sofa or nearby.

“Well, I had some questions to ask you, but first can you tell me since when were you standing there, girl?”[Atul]

Atul asked to Celia in a worried tone while sitting on ground and holding his head with his right hand.

“Um, I didn’t stand anywhere. I came here straight from the room.”[Celia]

Hearing this Atul regained his composer and again stand up and asked Celia about why she came downstairs.

“That’s good (in a small whisper). Foe what may i ask? You know you should be resting on your bed or these injuries may get worse. If you wanted something, you could have told it to the puppets or called me or Vayu.”

Atul said this to Celia in a worried tone mixed with a little care and anger for her.

Hearing this, Celia’s eyes got a little wet, and she started crying, then taking a huge breath she looked toward Atul and put bothe of her palm together and said,

“I am sorry, I am so sorry. I didn’t want to worry you. I just wanted to apologize for what I said to you. I thought a lot about it and my guilt didn’t let me rest without apologizing first. I am very sorry and I am ready for any punishment for my mistake, if you want to leave me back in the jungle. I am ready for it. But please forgive me. I am very sorry.” [Celia]

Celia kept on crying and apologizing to Atul.

Seeing this, Atul and Vayu looked at each other with guilt clearly visible on their faces.

Atul, unable to bear the crying of Celia in front of him, went toward Celia and sit in front of her face and spoke to her in a caring tone.

“Hey, you already apologise to me and I already forgive you, so everything is settled, right? Me good, you good. Don’t worry about it anymore.”[Atul]

“But everything is not settled. When you said that it’s okay, you had such a sad expression on your face.”[Celia]

“Oh that, well, I am not saying that what you saw was wrong, but that was not because of you. It was just some memories from the past that resurfaced. So if anyone should be apologizing, it should be me for making you worry. I am sorry, girl.”[Atul]

“So you are not angry at me?”[Celia]

“No”[Atul]

“And you didn’t make that face because of me.”[Celia]

“No”[Atul]

“And you forgive me for all that.”[Atul]

“No, nonono, I mean yes, I forgive you for all that.”[Atul]

Heating this a look of relief appeared both of theirs face but the next moment, Atul’s face changed its expression and Atul started reprimanding Celia.

“But we still had to talk. You know how immature it is to walk in your state. You could have fallen down the stairs working your condition or worst you could gave died ………………………….., I hope you will reflect on that and,”[Atul]

Atul continued giving his lecture when suddenly Vayu called out to him.

“Atul”[Vayu]

“Don’t interrupt me, Vayu. I am in the middle of a lecture.”[Atul]

Atul, getting annoyed, lashed out at Vayu.

“Atul”[Vayu]

But Vayu again called him.

“Vayu, let me finish my lecture first. It’s important for her.”[Atul]

Atul again lashed out at Vayu.

“Atul”[Vayu]

“What?”[Atul]

“She is already asleep.”[Vayu]

As Vayu said this, silence filled the hall.

Then Atul, his face red, spoke to Vayu, breaking the silence.

“Well, okay, you stay like this for a little more. I am going to my room to bring a pillow and blanket.”[Atul]

In response, Vayu signal Atul to go.

Atul went to his room and come back with a blanket and a pillow. He slowly put the pillow below Celia’s head and put the blanket on her.

Feeling the blanket on her, Celia also slowly wrap herself in the blanket while sleeping.

Seeing her asleep, Atul signal Vayu to stay by her side and went to kitchen himself for cooking the rest of the food.

ATUL’S POV

“So seeing the failure of the last two times, I am just gonna give it straight to you. If you got questions, you can ask me but only after hearing me fully. Okay”[Atul]

It has been two hours since the girl apologized to me, and currently we are sitting at the small dining table facing each other while eating the food I cooked.

“Okay”[Celia]

Replying to my question, the girl gave me a thumbs up. Is this the same girl who was apologizing to me before?

Before sleeping, she had such a sad and troubled experience on her face, but right now, the only expression on her face was that of excitement and relief.

After waking up, she had this expression plastered on her face. Well, the more happy she is, the faster her recovery will be.

Well i have to confirm something first, all my decision of handling her depend on how will she answer her question.

“So let me ask you something first. Are you a transferee from Earth or a native of this planet?”[Atul]
