Chapter 9 – The Day We Went to the Amusement Park

That’s why I’m just spending the days I have now.

“So this is an amusement park…”

There are only two days left of summer holiday, including today.

Me, Kokoa and Kensuke were at an amusement park.

“Kokoa, are you good at screaming?” Kensuke asked Kokoa.

“Screaming? What do you mean?”

“Well… You know, that one.”

Kensuke then pointed to the roller coaster.

“What’s that…? I want to ride it!” Kokoa said with sparkling eyes.

“Hoo~ Hinata, it looks like Kokoa wants to ride the roller coaster, what do we do?”

“I’ll ride it too. But there’s three of us here…”

Thus, I, Kokoa, and Kensuke were to ride alone.

“That was fun~” Kokoa said with a smile.

“That’s good. Kokoa, you were laughing the whole time we were riding.”

“Because it was fun. What are we going to ride next?”

As the tension rose, Kokoa moved on to the next subject.

“Next, how about the rapid slide?” Kensuke suggested to Kokoa.

“I don’t know what that is, but let’s go!”

Apparently, this is the first time that Kokoa has been to an amusement park.

No wonder she’s so excited.

We lined up for the rapid slide and had a good chat while we waited.

“Speaking of which, Kokoa, do you remember your school?”

I remembered something from the other day.

“Sorry. I still don’t remember…”

“I see…”

How can she forget that?

“I… The more I try to remember myself, the more I can’t remember. Or rather, I don’t remember anything… I wonder why…” said Kokoa, looking at me with sad eyes.

“Are you okay?”

“Y-Yeah, I’m fine! Don’t worry.”

Kokoa forced herself to smile.

“If Kokoa says so…”

Kokoa stretched out and got on the train to go home.

“Right! Let’s go again! Hinata will come too, right?” Kensuke said as he put his hand on my shoulder.

“Yeah, let’s go back.”
