The Strongest Villain, Who Had Secluded Himself Deep in the Mountains To Avoid the Destruction Flag, Is Forced Onto the Main Stage by the Heroine He Helped - Chapter 4 : Onto The Main Stage!
In the month of spring we entered the academy.
The time for the game events to conclude was approaching closer every passing day.
In Alba’s swaying field of view, a scenic cityscape is reflected, with no trace of the mountain where he had been shut in for a while.
The academy is located in the capital city, which is the center of this kingdom.
As the mountain where he was confined was neither a duchy nor the capital, Alba was now on his way with a melancholic feeling, swaying in the carriage they were riding.
“Come to think of it, I wonder what happened to my enrollment procedure?”
With a sorrowful gaze, Alba speaks up in the silence of the carriage.
“It seems like the Pope took care of it for you.”
Sheria, who had been idling away her time while embroidering something, finally said, “I’ll give this handkerchief to you, Alba!”
By the way, she wasn’t used to it… the handkerchief she was holding didn’t quite retain its original form. Despite that, she tried to push the needle through the distorted sewing places.
“It looks like Alba is going to become an apprentice holy knight.”
“Hey, doesn’t that title feel a bit off? Am I the only one feeling that?”
“If I remember properly, didn’t the pope say something like, ‘If you are going to be with Sheria, then you have to become a stepping stone’, right?”
“Don’t you feel like the image of a kind father is falling apart?”
He was indeed a good father, thinking of the safety of his daughter.
“Well… anyway, an academy, huh? There will definitely be some people who know me.”
Alba was famous, whether for better or worse, for things he didn’t remember.
Since he was supposed to be dead, it was only natural that there would be an uproar if he appeared at the academy as if nothing happened.
More than worrying about the destruction flags, the concern about that matter made Alba sigh in frustration.
“Don’t worry, Alba—no, Al-kun! Your hair color has changed too, so there shouldn’t be any problem! Also, the Pope said, ‘For Sheria-chan’s precious man… it’s a troublesome situation, but if there’s an uproar, I’ll cover try to cover it up…!'”
“Oh, my father-in-law… How wonderful!”
“Father-in-law, huh… hehehe~.”
Alba, who usually keeps those thoughts to himself, was unexpectedly moved.
As expected of the world’s top religion, their influence and overwhelming power were incredible.
“Well, if that’s the case, I can feel a bit relieved.”
He returned his gaze to the scenery flowing outside the window of the carriage.
‘Then I’ll quietly lead my school life without getting involved with the capture targets. I don’t remember the exact story, but if I don’t get involved with them, no major flags should be raised. Well, I did get involved with one of them though.’
Alba couldn’t really help but face those events. He had already resigned himself to the situation and adopted a positive mindset, thinking of it as receiving benefits by being together with a beautiful girl.
As long as he doesn’t get involved with the remaining capture targets and the protagonist, everything should be fine.
Leisurely living his life while being uninvolved with others, Alba’s way of life was firmly decided.
“But I have a little concern,” Sheria murmured, placing her tattered handkerchief on her knees, her alluring face now had a really serious expression.
“What is it?” Alba asked.
“It’s about you not getting infatuated with other girls.”
‘What is she trying to say?’ Alba nearly retorted. With such a beautiful girl right in front of him, how could he possibly be infatuated with anyone else? The mere thought of it was ridiculous.
One of the reasons the game became so popular was the charming heroines it featured. Among them, Sheria stood out as exceptionally lovely and endearing. There was no way he would be infatuated with anyone else.
Sighing, he realized that she didn’t seem to understand her own appeal.
“Really, you…” Alba started to say something to convince her, but quickly stopped as Sheria’s eyes began to tear up and her cheeks flushed with heat.
Then, out of nowhere, he felt a soft sensation and a familiar warmth on his lower body.
“Um, Sheria?” he asked curiously.
“Hmph! You should only have eyes for me! Also, as an apology, you have to pat my head!” she demanded.
Though Alba couldn’t see any reason to apologize, he decided not to protest. It seemed that the girl in front of him wouldn’t tolerate him being infatuated with anyone else. Oblivious Alba couldn’t fully comprehend it, but he obediently began to pat Sheria’s head to make sure her eyes wouldn’t suffer any further damage.
“By the way, I received letters from Tina and Mikaela.”
“Aren’t you getting a lot of letters?”
Lately, it seemed that letters were all that he was receiving, and they were overwhelming him.
“Isn’t Tina the younger saint candidate and Mikaela the older one?”
“Yes, you’re right! We are close to each other and often exchange letters regularly.”
“Oh, I see.”
“There is also one on your name.”
“Huh? But I don’t want to read it.”
The recent letters with threatening words suddenly surfaced in my mind and I quickly shook off the thoughts to read more of them.
“Don’t worry, I think they’re letters of concern for you since we’re all going to the academy together,” Sheria explained.
“Is that so…?”
Neither Tina nor Mikaela were romance related characters. They were only mentioned briefly in the story and didn’t have much involvement in the plot. If they were having regular exchanges, then the letters probably weren’t as unfortunate as those from the pope.
‘Well, it should be fine. Those letters are likely from the pope, who’s crazy about his daughter.’ Alba reassured himself.
Feeling relieved, he watched Sheria opening her letter with an endearing expression.
Meanwhile, he opened his own letter in which the contents were as follows :
“Dear Alba,
…..
If anything happens to my cute, adorable sister, I’ll seriously kill you.
…
From Tina and Mikaela”
Alba quietly shedded tears after reading the kind(threatening) letter.
